Bam's Auto Body was GREAT! I honestly believe they're serious about delivering the best service possible. I was involved in an accident about a month ago where my 1998 Mazda's rear driver-side door was smashed pretty badly. I brought it to Bam's and the price compared well with other shops I'd interviewed. When I gave them the job, Robert (the manager/owner) immediately took charge and directed his staff to start searching for a replacement door. I was able to borrow a friend's car while the repairs were being done so I told them they didn't need to rush the work. After just 1 week, Robert told me I could come in the following morning to pick-up my car. It was a BEAUTIFUL JOB! Although my car is 14 years old, I can't recall it looking better than when I returned to the shop -- I was amazed! The car's entire driver's side looked like new. It was FLAWLESS!
There are over 30 reviews to read on this webpage about Bam's Auto Body and Towing and an overwhelming 90-percent of them are very favorable. That really says something. As for me, I couldn't have asked for better service and workmanship than what I received for my repair job.

I would NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! I was in a car accident on Feb. 21st. Immediately a tow truck company affiliated with Bam Auto Body showed up and they were great guys- Eddie and Ray. Both of them made sure I was fine, my grandmother who was in the car with me was fine and even talked to my Dad about the best way to go about dealing with the accident. They offered to tow my car to Bam Auto Body and explained how my insurance would be billed for the towing- i woulnd't have to pay out of pocket. We get to Bam Auto Body and as soon as I sat down in their office I could hear the younger front desk lady responding rudely to a customer on the telephone. I choose to overlook it because Ray and Eddie were taking good care of me and I trusted them. I left my car there, my insurance adjuster came the following week and they had a check by March 1st. They ordered the parts and as of Monday March 5th they began working on my car and as the younger front desk lady rudely pointed out during a telephone conversation the insurance company gave them 10 business day to complete the work and they intended on using all 10 days. The following week on the 8th day I called to check on my car and find out what time i could pick it up on the 10th day. Not only was the same younger front desk lady rude and disrespectful to me, she called me "obnoxious" because I said it was unacceptable that my car was not going to be ready in the timeframe it was suppose to be. The man working on my car, Richie, then got on the phone and told me he'll try to have it done by 4pm on Friday than hung up on me. I showed up on the 10th business day (though my car had already been there for 3 weeks and 3 days) ready to pick up my car. Basically a screaming match went down because my car was not ready and they wanted me to come back the following Tuesday. A man claiming to be the owner was yelling at me from across the room and called me a "Douche". The younger front desk lady told me to wait for her to get out of work at 5pm so she and I can go at it because apparently "she" felt disrespected! Every single one of them was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. Absolutely no consideration for the fact that I was the victim of a car accident, that I traveled from New Jersey to pick up my car on time and that they were wrong for not having my car ready when it was suppose to be ready. The only friendly, considerate and responsible people who work for this company are Natalie and Eddie. They went above and beyond to help in this situation. The"so called" owner is an a**hole and the younger front desk lady is a miserable, nasty b*tch! Don't bother with this place at all!!!!!

My vehicle arrived at Bam's on September 3, 2011 after an accident on Woodhaven Blvd. in Queens. A Bam's Towing truck pulled up to the scene and I was told by a gentleman named TIMMY that I would not be charged for the tow (which they did in fact charge) along with a on-the-spot rental (which turned out to be a 2010 Chevy Malibu that cost me $145 in gas in 25 days of local driving).

The estimate they received from Progressive was astronomical in my opinion, but at nearly $6500 in damages and repairs, I expected everything to be spot on. I chose them because of the convenience and proximity to the accident. I knew they would be making double the profit but hey, that's what insurance is for right? I said, let them have it, no big deal. WELL....

They took 25 days to repair when I was told 10 - 14 days.

When I received the vehicle on September 27th, which is a 2009 Honda Civic (purchased BRAND NEW off the lot in 2009) I heard a loud whirring noise. This was noticed on September 28th. Upon opening the hood to inspect, I noticed that the hood would not close. I noticed that the latch was same bent latch from the accident. I left TIMMY from Bam's a message (the shop does not have a voicemail), emailed my insurance adjuster and my attorney immediately. The hood prompted me to take the car to my local Midas and have it checked. It was found that a few things, such as the motor mount and well as the hood latch were never replaced but were paid for in the insurance estimate. Timmy NEVER called me back.

I called Bam's back in the next few days and was rudely told by a man to "come in and we'll fix it." I live in New Jersey and have a full-time job, as well as a full-time undergraduate course load the state university; the idea of having to bring the car BACK to Queens to have it fixed was not an option. My insurance company has given be the option to have it fixed elsewhere and they will pay for whatever they have already paid for on the estimate.

Tomorrow, I have an appointment to have the car re-assessed and re-done.

I called Bam's today and spoke with ROBERT, who told me "shame on me" for leaving TIMMY a message instead of calling the shop. When I informed him that the rudeness of his receptionist, MICHELLE, turned me off (after calling the shop multiple times and leaving messages with her) he immediately told me to "GO F*** MYSELF."

I informed him that I would be contacting the BBB and filing a legal claim in the next weeks to come.

I'm never going back to Queens again by the way.

Bams is the fckin greatest there better then sonnys and oz auto body. Bams alll the way dudee..... I would recommend everyone to bams. They sware by there work. Everything is lifetime guaranteed there. They use all dealer parts. Unlike some body shops out there. That we call chop shops

BAM's is the BEST! Someone hit my car while it was parked on a Sunday afternoon and BAM's towing contacted me at my home to let me know. They picked me up and brought me to the scene of the accident so I could report it to the police. As soon as that was finished they towed me to their shop and provided me with a rental car which I had until they returned my damaged car to me in excellent, like new condition. They worked with my insurance company and everything was done with the least amount of stress and inconvenience to me. They are great! Robert and Rich treated me so well and I have nothing but the highest praise for their whole operation. I would recommend them to everyone - no hesitation. All I can say is a great big thanks to them for taking care of me and my car at a time in my life that was very difficult.

I was referred to Bams Auto Body by my boss, telling me they do great work and are extremely friendly to work with. As soon as I got there, I was told that they would be able to help me right away and repair my car. Everyone in the shop was so friendly. My day started out with bad news! My wife called and said she had an accident, someone hit her. She was OK but the car was not. Next problem: Where to take the car? Someone told me about Bam's, so I took a chance. I met Robert at Bam's, he treated me royaly even though I had just met him. He advised me to deal with the other persons insurance company since my wife was not at fault. This kept my policy clean and saved me $500 deductible. A few days later I got a call and went to pick up the car. It was like brand new and everyone who worked there was great. Maybe my car wasn't a Lexus but they sure treated me like it was. If your unlucky enough to have an accident, I hope your lucky enough to see Robert at Bam's auto body.

I was there on a referral. My door on my BMW was hit by a distracted cyclist which messed up the alignment on door. Very little damage to paint. Went there and Rich and Robert were most helpful in getting estimate and appointment. Price was reasonable and end result as brand new condition - my door was realigned and small dent fixed without paint work - Thanks!!

I had just bought a brand new Chrysler 300 2010 and less than a month later it was side swiped by a little old lady on the westside highway. It was still driveable so I took it to Bam's and I can honestly say that I have not had one regret. They helped me deal with the other driver's insurance agency. They restored my car to mint condition (at the time of the accident it had less than 200 miles). My car looked like it did the day I picked it up from the showroom--color (deep ocean blue) was matched perfectly, the 2 doors that were replaced were straight from Chrysler, and they open and close just like the day I bought them. I had just spent 28,000 on this car and could have taken it anywhere including the dealership to get it repaired but I trusted it to Robert and his crew. They have been there for me for the last 3 years (my husband's GT Mustang and my old used Chrysler 300 have been in and out of their shop for various reasons and we have always been happy with the repairs).

I am now addressing those who stated that they were not treated professionally by the owner or his employees...These are hardworking people who will treat you as you treat them. You can't speak rudely to someone and expect them to sit there and take it. So to Robert, Joanne and Richie...Thank You for all you have done for me and my family's vehicles and to those who don't know how to speak to people politely and with the respect that is due to hardworking business people keep talking...you only show everyone how rude and uneducated you are (Wanda if you are going to hate on people at least get your spelling and grammar correct--your ignorance is showing. And to Dawn M.. I think you mean profane not profound..if you are going to try and use big words at least know what they mean).

I went to Bam's and on seeing the car the owner Robert told me no problem he would take care of it all ...for FREE. Now thats doing business the old fashioned way ..Excellent work......Speedy.....what more can i say! I recommend this establishment whole heartedly!

Iforgot the drivers name but he stayed by and waited. hetold me he would take of everything like so many others .My car is currently at their shop on liberty ave in in ozone park . funny my insurance company called me today and stated they will authorize payment and will send check to me . so i called them to tell Bam okay it is a go to fix mycar, but they told me parts were alreadyorder and carwill beready next . funny thing i never gave them authorization yet. When ever the car is ready and when i go to pick up the car that is when i will sign over my check and nothing more and if i dont like i will walk away . more to follow

I had three cars damaged two days before christmas by a stupid little kid that has no idea how to drive. Anyway Bam's was in charge of fixing two of my damaged vehicles. The first vehicle ( 08 BMW 335I) was fixed very quickly and the car looks like NEW. My second car (04 Saab 93) which had extensive damaged was repaired back to its original beauty. The staff at Bam's were very nice and I would recommend their shop to my friends that need to repair their cars.

When I picked my car up, it looked brand new. The staff at Bam's was extremely helpful and they did everything that someone with a damaged car does not want to do. I would recommend Bam's to anyone with body damage. The work they do and the people that work at Bam's are top-notch. Thank you!!

We recently sent our car over to BAM's for repairs after it was involved in an accident. I don't normally write reviews so I'll make this short and sweet -our Jeep Patriot came out looking fantastic, looks as good as the day we bought it. I had my car fixed here at Bams Autobody and it was fixed beautifully. Great paint job,very nice people all around.Highly recommend this shop .My SUV was blasted on the whole right side as well as the left front,they did a great job and perfect color match as well. Its hard to find a shop these days that garantees its work 100% and backs it up...Great Job!!!!!
I will use them whenever I need bodywork or paint work.

MY EXPERIENCE...EXCELLENT ..It is sad to see that people are unhappy with Bam's Auto Body. I have been a customer religiously for 17 years. I have had only good things to say about the WORK and the STAFF. My personal experience in an accident is that my whole world has just been turned upside down. I now have no car to get back and forth, but when i went to Bam's they advised me that my insurance company covers a certain amount on a car rental. That means i still may have to pay? No that did not happen. Joanne sent me to a car rental that they offer full coverage because I brought my car to Bam's. I had major damage to my car. It seemed as though it would take a month to fix...I was wrong..It only took a week! Not only was my car completely in brand new condition, but I had a short in my electric window that they fixed free of charge. And this was not from the accident! . Everytime I called, both Joanne and Robert, got on the phone with me giving me details of everything I needed to do and how my car was being fixed. I also had a car that needed painting no body work..that was completed in 2 days. This I paid out of pocket. it was cheaper than Earl Schreib and QUALITY work. Now if they were going to rob me..this was the time they could have! I also had another car that was stolen and destroyed a drug addict stole my car and it was torn apart..I did not want the car..Robert and Joanne recovered the car and fixed it that you would have thought I drove it out of the showroom!..I can go on and on of how happy I am with Bams and their staff. As for negative reviews maybe it was you trying to make money or just not happy that you are not as pretty as the office staff. Maybe you should check your attitude at the door. People who find negativity are people who live negatively!

Andrew, the tow truck driver was patient and caring. He waited until I was ready to make a decision. Once at the shop, i met the most amazing people! Joanne is like my long lost best friend. She understood my pain and went out of her way to comfort me while taking care of EVERYTHING for me. Richie made sure the adjuster, Will, would do the "right" thing by me. When Geico wanted to 'total' my car, I was devastated! Richie took care of me...No questions asked! Then there's Rob, the other half of Joanne. Rob is an honest, caring, sincere man. He didn't rip me off, as the others claim. All my parts are new and work better than they did before. When having to go back for a minor adjustment, they didn't hide or down-talk me. I was in and out and treated like a priority!! My Nissan is clean, sharp and looks BEAUTIFUL as well. Thanks so so much to all who had a part in my blessing...and especially to Rob and Joanne! They say Christmas comes but once a year...for me, twice! xoxoxoxo

I had this aweful problem with my car right before my fourth of july road trip. I had been to BAMS before for some body work( they also hooked me up and did a great job) so I had called and Robert really handled the job in no time. I was able to take my road trip and so far the car is acting perfect!!

I brought my 2007 Nissan Maxima to BAMS and the car actually looked better when they finished with it then before the accident! They are the best autobody shop in New York hands down! I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Robert!

I had a terrible car accident, and I thought that my baby (car) would never be the same. The people at Bams took very good care of me and my car. They kept me updated on what was going on with the repairs. They were very professional, polite, and overall THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB ON MY CAR!!!! I am so very happy that my baby is back to normal, they matched up the special paint perfectly and it looks like a brand new car...People can't even believe that I was ever in an accident....I would definitely recommend them of all the other shops. I actually did a little shopping around with other body shops and the work was actually better and I saved money as well.

First off let me say that I read some of the negative and positive articles before I brought my Lexus there, I asked them about the anonymous comment and they informed the lady had her car there for the 2ND time at Bams with in 2 months and she was advised not to fix the car and she insisted the car must be repair and for the cheapest amount possible, against their better judgement. I decided to get my brand new Lexus repaired there anyway and mind you it is a lease i didn't want to go through insurance and i wanted it perfect,and perfect is what they did! I cant complain ! It was like brand new and the owner Robert and his wife Joanne made me feel very very comfortable leaving me car there for repairs.I will recommend to all my Friends !!!!

I have recently had my 2004 Mercury
fixed at Bams Autobody and I must say
they did a fantastic job.The car was cleaned inside and out,the whole car was hand polished and they fixed a few extra dents I had at no charge without even telling me! I was so happy after I got my car back.I would recommend them to all!!

i got into a car accident and the minute after some guy come over to me and recommended me to bams towing they towed my car and also "fixed" it for me. since then i have been having alot of problems my paint chips like crazy and the paint job was horrible the guy is very nice but seems like a rip off after everything is done and they take very long too.

This is a so called auto repair shop, it is more like a chop shop. They do horrible body work. They try to pass off employee mistake as quality work. Technicans seem like auto thieves. Owner claims to be honest and a hard worker. After I told him I was not satisfied he turned into an out right nasty bigot. He used profound language. Bams company should be investigated for insurance fraud because of his extremely expensive estimates. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You are better off going to another place.
