Barclay School Supplies which is located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn is loaded with all types of educational materials. The store has a huge art section. Check out the origami paper!. As a Home Educator this store is one of my first choices to obtain materials for instruction locally.

Barclay has one of the widest varieties school items anywhere. There is a very large art section, plus a strong selection of student workbooks (activity books), borders & trimmers, posters, etc.

For teachers there are not to many places to go in the city. Barclay's definitely had everything that I needed to get my classroom set up. The only problem is that it's a bit of a commute. It was also one of the better places I've seen. I'm originally from out of state and I've never seem anything like this. If it's a far commute for I'd recommend going with a list so you don't need to return soon. Also bring a buddy, at the beginning of the year the check out line is outrageous! They do there best to get you through it though!
