Monty Q's Brick Oven Pizza

For semi-fast food Italian, this is the place. The pasta is parboiled but they don't finish it until you place your order. You can mix-and-match any number of ingredients, all fresh and tasty. The salad selections are especially extensive. Your meal arrives fast, piping hot and tastes like it was just made (which it sort of was).

Monty Q's is a staple in the downtown Brooklyn Heights & "Court" Street area. (It's named Court street because all the major Brooklyn U.S. District Courts are within a 3 block radius of one another.

Monty Q's has been around a long time. They're famous for their Brick Oven Pizzas, prepared round the clock fresh from the oven (you can actually see the oven!), with the best toppings/variations! My favorite is the Linate which has Cajun Chicken, fresh mozarella and diced tomatoes; the Lasagna Pie is also great...okay everything is delectable! They also have a huge amount of pasta entrees as well as chicken veal, shrimp, calamari and salmon dishes. Their hot sandwiches are divine and served on their own Ciabatta (whole grain made fresh daily) breads.

There's a generous seating area and dress is casual. Of note is the huge Salad Bar with such unusually delightful toppings as: sweet corn, garbanzo beans, red beans, sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, chow mein noodles, dried cranberries and madarin oranges & more. Catering is also available for large or small parties.

Staff is friendly, professional & polite. Casual college students, harried office workers, lawyers and other suits frequent this place. Even saw Mayor Bloomberg (NY's Mayor) here once. Check out their website and drool: http://www.montyqs.com/
