I tried to order about $100 worth of Yamaha parts from Sovie's, and have been jerked around and lied to for over a week about their location. I ordered on a Monday, and was told they should be in Thursday, Friday at the latest. Called Thursday, hasn't come in yet. Call us back tomorrow. Called back Friday. The boss(I assume?) gives me a story about some mix-up at the parts counter that boiled down to "I hire idiots that don't know what they're doing and your parts were ordered several days late"(they didn't know when). They said to check back monday, they "should" be in then.

Of course, the parts didn't come in Monday either. I talk to the owner/manager/boss (older guy) again. Now he said the parts HAVE NOT been ordered at all. Said he would order the parts overnight and I would "guaranteed" have them tuesday.

Tuesday, no parts. I asked about the so-called overnight order. "There must have been a glitch in the ordering system". At this point I gave up and ordered the parts from a different source. I have no idea if they ever came in or not.

Also, don't even think about calling them between about 11 and 2---nobody will answer the phone, or they'll pick up, tell you to call back later, and then hang up without waiting for a response.

Worst dealer I've ever dealt with. Except for the older man who must be the boss, everybody who answered the phone was rude and couldn't care less. Their parts prices are astronomical as well, assuming you would actually ever get them.

Several other locals had warned me about this place, and that his service was so bad that Harley yanked his dealership rights. I should have listened, don't make my mistake. His incompetent employees cost me a lot of hassle and money since I couldn't get my bike fixed in time, as was my only source of transportation.

John Sovie the owner of Sovies Cycle Shop is nothing but a liar. I ordered over $2,000.00 in parts from him back in June of 2008, but alls he did was say that the parts will be in every month that I inquired about them thereafter. I checked with him in August 08, and September 08 he called me to come by his shop so he could make a copy of my registration for the VIN# that he needed it to order some of the painted parts, so I stop by that day and gave him my registration. October came and still no parts and he said for me to store my bike over at his shop and he guaranteed that they would be in soon. I agree to store the bike at his location on two conditions 1. he would be done with the install of new parts by April 09 and 2. that he put my bike in covered storage and that he covers up my bike with my supplied bike cover. He agreed, but Sovies did neither of these when I picked up my bike on April 2, 2009. None of the parts were installed and the bike was covered in dirt from front to back. You could even tell where it had rained on the back of the saddle bags. The bike cover was still in the saddle bag and it was clean, so it wasn??t used. I knew in January 09 Sovies was not even going to install the parts, because he called me and asked me what was he suppose to do with my bike that he could not remember all the parts that he was suppose to order for it even though I gave him a list of all the parts with part numbers. John Sovie is an idiot and a terrible business man do not buy anything from him. I tried to buy local and got burned for doing so even when I was warned not to buy from him and that was my mistake and I hope it won??t be yours. Buyer beware!
