The only problem I have with this place is that they do not answer there phone. If your lucky you will get a answering machine telling you to leave a message. I called them 3 times in a row and it just rang .finally on the forth I got the machine and this was during business hours.
This is a shame. They are great vets.

We bring our dog, cat & horses to Dr Dennis Dougherty of Bayport Village Animal Center. Friendly service to us & our pets. Fair prices and a clean center. I would highly recommend you try this office for you animals....

I bring my mother's dog here- a 14-yr old Bichon Frise. We started going to this vet b/c they have a scope that they use for the dog's ears.

2 months ago our dog lost the use of his back legs. We went to the emergency vet 1st since it was over Labor Day weekend & he told us there was basically nothing we could do. Dr Dougherty recommended 'alignments' and gave him a cortisone shot. He used this thing to tap along the dog's spine- we had a few appointments & the dog now walks again! It was inexpensive & a GREAT alternative to surgery (which the Dr said may not even work).

If I lived closer, I would bring my own dog here. I WILL bring him here for any issues that are not regular 'day to day' care issues.
