Which might be taken the wrong way but at this hidden Upper East Side Japanese, the lack of a crowd is a huge plus. The restaurant has a wonderful staff. They are always very gracious. The food is on par with any of the better sushi restaurants in the area. The special roles are huge, so watch out when you are ordering. You will fill up fast.

Service was attentive but the waitress was surley. The ginger carrot salad dressing was off I think too much garlic My Octopus Sushi was waterlogged, the Shrimp Shumai was mushy, but the Yellowtail Sashimi was fresh. A very average meal.

FOOD: All the sushi is fresh and so good. Start with the tea and the steamed vegetable dumplings. Also, the green salad is so simple but has the best ginger dressing. IF you get sushi try the spicy tuna, the manhattan roll or for something less heavy (no rice) and VERY refreshing try the Naruto Roll.
SERVICE: Fast and sooooo polite.
My boyfriend and I frequent this restaurant!

Pros: Everything...seriously

Cons: None

I love the small restraunts where the owner knows your name.
Will is always at the entrance, and even if I don't come in for 3 months, he will remember me and my girlfriend, and often treat us to dessert! It's the little touches like this that make me want to come back.
In addition to this, the fish is very fresh.

Ko Sushi is a treasure more people should discover. It is cheaper than most sushi places and the quality is higher. The service is excellent. It may be further east than you would prefer to walk, but it is so worth it. I wish I could promote it more. They always have a brown rice option for your rolls (which is something not many sushi places offer.) They also do amazing desserts. LOVE IT!

My friends and I love sushi and this is still one of the best places we've gone to. The fish is fresh and service is always friendly. It's farther from the 2nd Avenue hot spots, but worth it!

Pros: Good Food and Service

Cons: Far from the train stations

We order from Ko at least once a week. The fish is some of the freshest I've had in the city and the rolls and pieces are created and cut to perfection. We prefer Ko to it's much hyped neighbor Poke. Also, Ko is reasonably priced for the quality of fish you are getting. I highly recommend the Hawiian Role.

Pros: freshness, price, service
