These people butchered my suit. The jacket was cut too tight and the pants too short. I would never go back there again. To top it off, father and son were extremely rude. Horrible experience. There's a tailor on 7th ave and 20th that are friendly and do an amazing job. They were able to fix the mess Cardelino made.

Pros: Close to my house

Cons: Horrible job

I've used this shop twice now and both times I had to have them redo the work. The first item was a sheer sarong-type wrap I planned to wear for my wedding. All they needed to do was shorten it a bit and put a finish seam on the fresh cut. The stitching on the new seam was very loose, and sloppy and MUCH bigger than the dainty finish seam on the rest of the skirt. It was glaringly obvious. They explained that it was a tough fabric to work with, but if that was the case they should have known (being tailors and all!) warned me ahead of time. I explained again that this was for my wedding and that it was unacceptable and they redid it in a much more satisfactory way.

I went back recently because the shop is convenient to my workplace, and I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. I brought an expensive designer dress in that simply needed the slack taken up in the shoulders. The original dress had a gather stitch in the front, but the back was smooth. When I first dropped the dress off I was very specific that I wanted it to remain EXACTLY like that. Just went to pick up my dress and the shoulders are an absolute mess. And they're not even matched! In the back of one shoulder there were two small pleats while the other one were more 'gathered.' BOTH backs should have been smooth. The seam was also not butterflied open to sit flat on the shoulder, but lumped to one side and sewn forward which wouldn't allow it to lay flat. This should have been a Sewing 101 job - it doesn't get much simpler!

In all fairness these two repairs were done by the young guy. I asked the owner to remove the stitches so I could show him exactly how it should be and made him promise that he would do the repair himself. I'm hoping it will be fine when I pick it up next week. I will definitely not be back. Be warned.
