Everything you would find at this store, you could find elsewhere at prices that are MUCH MUCH lower. The mark-ups are a result of the wealthy population in Park Slope who are willing to support a local business. Be prepared to pay

I do love this store. Love how it's jammed packed with everything a child could want. The service is excellent---which is why I shop here even though I could buy the same item cheaper on Amazon. I simply feel like it's important to support a beloved local shop--even just one--and this is mine.

sure it's crowded (if you go on Saturday morning) but it's stocked with lots of toys and the sales people are very helpful in finding specific things you are looking for or recommending gifts. go off hours if you want to browse in a more peaceful way. Of course Target is a little cheaper and has more stuff, but why would you want to go to that place--which, by the way, is usually out of stock of what you want? I have always been able to find what I need at Little Things, and it's locally owned and nearby.

Little Things is a great neighborhood toy store. It's crammed to the ceiling with toys, and you can usually find what you're looking for here, or get distracted by something else. The service has improved in the last couple of years. Prices seem fair.

If you are looking for a gift for a child, you can find it here. While the store is not big, you can usually find something. The staff is helpful and they will gift wrap for you.

The salespeople at this store ignore the customers, let a long line form even when there are three salespeople at the register (always only one ringing and the rest talking about their weekends). They are rude and not helpful. The toy selection is fine but the customer service is AWFUL.

Ah, Little Things. I remember spending a lot of time there when I was younger and it was located in the space where Starbucks is now, at 1st Street and 7th Avenue. It then split into two stores a few blocks away, with one store containing jewelry, fancy scarves, gifts and beanie babies/stuffed animals, and the other acting as more of a regular toy store. Somewhere along the line, it seems that the more upscale half closed, and now all that remains is the store with toys and craft kits. It's still the best (because as far as I know, it's the only) place to get toys and other stuff for kids in the area.
