It has been a week since I had enrolled my 12 months old daughter in Tutor Time. Every morning it is a joy to see her smile and looking forward to spend time with her friends and teachers at Tutor Time. The environment is very warm and cozy. I like the fact when the weather is permit my daughter goes outside to play and she loves the swing. To all the daycare that I had visited for over six month, I did not see any playground. The entrance, security, and staff was not as warm, compelling to come in. Tutor Time entrance, staff had welcomed me and my family. The teachers who are taking care of my daughter I feel comfortable to ask them question about my daughter and they are prompt as me. When I called to check on my daughter I asked them same questions in a different way and I got the same answer that makes me happy because they are not misleading and I know what my daughter is capable of doing. \r\n\r\nYes, Tutor Time is the most expensive in the Capital District but you will not get the kind of service like tight security, video camera, playground at Tutor Time. I love the security which make me feel safe to leave my daughter. It took me six months to finally decide to a daycare for my daughter and Tutor Time has impressed me so far. I like the staff already. The Director and her assistant are very approachable, and have a warm personality. I will definitely post if I become dissatisfied with Tutor Time. Yes, I would refer my friends, and family. In fact, my friend cannot wait to have her child to go to Tutor Time. I am sorry you had a bad experience. I guess I came in a perfect time, new staffs, new director. I would give Tutor Time a second chance.

Pros: I love, love, love the conveniency parking, time ( I can drop my daughter from 7am until 6 pm). I will give Tutor Time a thumbs up for me and one for my daughter (she loves it so far)

Cons: Nothing yet

My child was at Tutor Time on Jordan Road for 5 months (4/07 - 9/07). My husband and I chose this place out of a perceived reputation and location convenience. We definitely did not choose it for cost. Tutor Time is one of the most expensive daycares in the Capital District. While my child had a good relationship with his teacher and she seemed to really like him, thats where the positives end. The baby rooms are stark white with no decorations or stimulation for the babies. I didn't notice it so much until my son started moving around and he would spend time in the room next door. There were litlerally only 5-7 toys and 3 of them were the same thing. It's very corporate and clinical. \r\n\r\nEveryday I would walk into the building and a staff member was at the desk waiting to cross my child's name off a list so they could get the numbers down and combine rooms or send staff home. Almost every time I would drop my son off the staff conversation would be: we have too many, so and so you have to take a kid, or call so and so get her in here to cover or send so and so home, we only need one staff in this class now. There was never a stable calm environment, staff was in constant shift mode. Everyday it was ALWAYS about moving kids and staff. \r\nAlso, the room was so small that you couldn't keep a bag in there so if you had to bring bottles, diapers, clothes... you can' t leave the bag you have to bring it back with you later. This is annoying for parents where one drops off and the other picks up. \r\nFor all the hype in the colorful corporate brochures they give you about playing with your child, singing, listening to music, gross motor skill play... it doesn't happen. At least not at this Tutor Time.
