Ok. We all had to try this rag smell like vegetables to make sure that it was rotten or not, cuz the waiter won't admit that their food had went bad. He kept saying that there's nothing wrong with the food and it's supposed to be like that. Who would eat something smells like rag??
He didn't want to take that horrible food back and even gave us attitude. We had to call the manager in the end, but the manager wasn't polite either. He didn't even say sorry. Bware!

So i decided to invite 16 of my friends to this DUMP to celebrate my birthday. we get to the restaurant and they sit us next to their tree holes, whenever someone chose to move ther seat back we fell into the tree hole.
Five of us actually fell into the tree hole becuase there is no sort of a warning that the tree hole and the floor are 2 inches off. i asked a mangaer to sit us somewhere else and she was very rude and told me they have sat people there before and noone complained hmmm they havent read reviews i guess....regardless after an hour they decided to move us because another large party has left. at this point we have only water on the table noone took our order untill 11:15 pm and the resrvations were for 9pm. Imagine we were starved...
The service was HORRIBLE. they came to us MAYBE 3 times, take our 1 drink order, to take our dinner order and to serve it to us. that drink order took 40 minutes to get to us. PLEASE DONT GO HERE, if you want to have a good time. And the "club" the so brag about well it is a sauna bath, very hot and verrrrryyy crowded you can not fit in.. and did i mention it was 95 degrees outside and the restaurant had no air conditioner just some silly fans.... SPARE YOURSELF......

I went with a friend and had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Our food came in on time and the sangria was delicious! The ambiance was very cozy and comfortable despite the large size. I will definitely stop by again. This is a great place to go out with a group of friends before going out. Great drinks, great location by the meatpacking district, and a great atmosphere!! A+++!!!

my experience at the park in chronological order

1. made my 11 guests and i wait 40 minutes (with reservation) before seating
2. seated us in wrong room
3. ignored us for 15 minutes until i had to get up and ask the manager for water, a waitress and menus
4. waitress watches my bf put down empty drink during appetizers. proceeds to not ask if we want another round the whole rest of the meal.
5. manager asks "what do you want me to do" when at the end of the meal i said the poor service was surprising.... then walks away from me as i'm mid-sentence responding.
6. raises music volume to club level out of retaliatory spite.

Congratulations to The Park for turning the city's prettiest outdoor seating restaurant into my worst birthday dinner ever. You win with flying colors!!

Came here to celebrate a birthday and we were seated promptly. However, it took them about 20 minutes to take our drink orders. We had to ask several times for our waiter. When he finally showed up there was no apology for the long wait. He then took our appetizer orders and said he would return to take our food order. Our appetizers were brought out by someone else about 20 minutes later. Our waiter finally returned to take our order... a entire hour after we were originally seated. What a waste of time. No apologies from the staff. By then we were all fed up and decided to leave without even ordering our entrees I will never come back to this place again. Honestly this was the worst service ever. Don't waste your time or money. There are a million other restaurants in the city with better food and better service. Wish I would have seen the other negative city search reviews before trying this place out... it would have save me the hassle.

A recent Sunday brunch -at 4pm the restaurant was open and serving and was comfortably occupied, after the brunch rush. Food ordered at 4:15 arrived OVER 1 HOUR LATER despite regular queries to the incompetent but pleasant server. One diner's main course was missing, which lead to our summoning the "Floor Manager" and then the "Manager". The missing hamburger took another 20 minutes to arrive (how long exaclty should it take to provide a burger in a working kitchen???) leading to additional frustration. The Floor Manager's hostility was exceeded only by the Manager's rudeness -- he actually accused a 10 year old kid at the table of "making faces at him from accross the restaurant" and insulting him!! Shameful!

I have never dined here so I can't say anything about their food. But I came here numerous times after 12AM for their music and clubbing scene.

Somehow it is predominantly Asian crowd with a mix of theirs as well. Drinks here are standard NYC club price and small. But it is free to get in and they have a cool balcony and music is decent.

It is a perfect after party spot and I always come here if I don't have fun somewhere else.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. When I first walked in, it looked really cool. There's a nice big waiting area with a nice fireplace. And when we were seated, it felt like we were really outside, in a park (gee, I wonder where they got the name?).

Because I was here for a birthday, we had a somewhat larger party (13). Still, there was really no excuse for not having any sort of server come to our table for 30 minutes. After someone got the hostess's attention, they sent a waitress to our table. Now I'm sure she was already having a somewhat bad day because she probably had a bunch of tables in the section, but hey, she was going to automatically get 18% from our group. Anyway, she was pretty rude. I'm going to try to avoid making this review sound like a rant.

I ordered the breakfast pizza. It was excellent. It probably is the sole reason why this review is 2 stars and not 1. After a couple more issues with our waitress, whose tone regarding an order with food allergy implications did not please someone in my group, thus prompting a visit from the manager, we were given drinks on the house as well as dessert. It was a nice gesture, and almost made us forget about the rude waitress (who we decided must've been an actress since she had such theatrical explanations for everything). In all, we probably took the place for close to $200 in free stuff, but it was the least they could do.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be going back to this place, but maybe your experience will be different.

Ended up here because we were looking for a quick bite to eat after an event nearby. Had to order a burger twice because the first one came out way overcooked (I had ordered medium rare). The second burger came out nearly raw - a good indication that the cook doesn't know what he/she is doing and is overcompensating. Even more problematic was that it wasn't initially clear that the meat was raw because it wasn't red and slightly bloody like it should have been. It was BROWN. That was enough for me. While we were waiting to leave, another table across the way was "entertained" with a mouse running around their table. Go there if you're B&T and don't know better, but if you value your health, you really need to avoid this place at all costs.

We walked in off the street for brunch, we got seated right away and the food was fine. We ordered the French Toast and the egg white omelet. In perusing the cocktail menu, I was trying to decide whether I wanted to pay $8 for a glass of beer. Then I noticed that on the front of the brunch menu it said $7 for a beer. I decided that although $7 is a lot for a glass of local beer, it was NYC after all. so both my husband and I decided to order one with our meals. When the check came, it listed the $8 price and when we pointed it out to the waitress, she said, "I don't know what it says on the menu, but there's only one price for beer here, $8." I told her to please check the menu and out of principle, I expected to pay what was listed. She said she would discuss it with the manager.

Eventually she did come back with the adjusted check, but with no apology or anything. She just slapped it down and said, "Here, I changed it" and walked away. We left feeling mildly irritated, which unfortunately tainted our overall experience. That said, the room was lovely and the food was good enough for a second visit. From our experience and other reviews I'm reading I think that the owners of this place need to address their management and hospitality issues.

It's unfortunate that I have to give this restaurant such a bad rating as the dining experience was fine - tasty brunch, good ambiance & nice interior. Didn't have a problem with the restaurant until I received my credit card statement. Basically, the statement showed an overcharge tip of $25 for a $40 meal. I called the credit card company immediately & they informed me that it is the restaurant that actually inputs this information. Now I wonder how often this restaurant makes these "errors". Left a message with the restaurant & still waiting for a return call...very disappointing and also wonder if I was just one of the victims of their scams. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was a genuine accident, however, their non-response convinces me otherwise. I wanted to go back to try their dinner but since they couldn't even bother to call to apologize, it only proves to me they could care less and at this point, I won't be returning. It's a shame that they practice such unethical behavior and don't even take the initiative to quickly remedy the problem.

The atmosphere was nice as the night when on after we ate and drank a rodent ran out right next to where we were sitting. We went to the manager and told him and he did not apologize nor did he remove anything from the bill. He acted as if this was normal.Besides that the service was slow and the food and drinks are over priced and just the fact that they did not even aplogize...I would not reccomend this place. NYC has sooo many other nicer places to go to.

We ate dinner here a couple of weeks ago with my sister and her husband. The food was decent, but service was slow, especially considering that they weren't busy at all. Plus, the restaurant was very cold. On top of that, I found out last week that they overcharged my credit card by $26, and have not returned multiple emails and phone calls regarding this. Needless to say, if you eat here, be sure to save your receipt!

Walked up on a Saturday around 11pm. There was no line. Girls were being turned away if they wearing flip-flops. Are you kidding me? It's mid August. The annoying little door girl was enforcing this. Ended up going to Cabanas at the Maritime where we had a great time.

One of my friends got assaulted, and management refused to help - they tried to pretend that there was no assault at all! Some African American male named Brian or David, and some ugly chick at the front door - they are insufferable, rude, obnoxious, and incompetent people.

Drinks are expensive and small, and not mixed correctly. Crowd is decidely B&T, mostly South Asians and other Asians. Lot of short guys thinking they're hot stuff. Music sounds like they just tuned the radio to Z100. Too hot upstairs, and I saw fights/shoving with security doing nothing. ugh, what happened to this place, is it under new management?

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. This is my first review and I created an account specifically to warn people not to give this place any business. At least there was no line, but there's obviously a reason for that.

My husband and I ate at The Park recently. We were drawn by the beautiful garden and the location--right off of the new Highline Park.

The atmosphere was wonderful--obviously someone has put a lot of time and effort into every detail of the design of this restaurant. Wish I could say the same for the food and service! The food was really overpriced for the quality (and we were charged more for one item than was listed on the menu). And although everyone (servers, management, bussers, etc.) was pleasant and well-intentioned, they DID NOT have it together. Both my husband and I have worked in this industry and we are more than forgiving as guests, but the list of things that went off during our meal was astounding, from a med-rare steak that came out well done, to timing (drinks, bread, ordering) slow and off throughout--to having what we needed (like silverware), almost every little thing that could have gone wrong did. What's more, we watched in amusement as every time the food runners brought out the food, they went from table to table to find out whose it was...

Maybe we just came on an off day? This place has great potential to be much better than what we experienced!

Basically, I ate here twice. The second time I had brought my mother here for her birthday and the experience was actually quite nice. My mother then took my father to the restaurant a while after. When they came in, they were seated in the general area. My mother asked if they could sit by the fireplace and was told no at first, but then was told ok by the waitress. After they moved and placed an order, they were told by the waitress that their credit card would have to be physically held along with their ID. They were disgusted, paid for what they had already ate and left. Why would you allow someone to sit in an area that would have these requirements and not tell them before they were moved there. I mean these were not 20 somethings, they were my parents 55 years old and up. COME ON!! They were told by the waitress that the cards and id were held because "People skip out on the bill". That was ridiculous.

Ate Easter Brunch at the park today. Not only was there a LIVE WORM in my salad, but the general manager was completely unapologetic and admitted that it "happens sometimes."

The service was extremely slow - we were there for over 2 hours - and we were automatically charged 20% gratuity DESPITE THE WORM. Completely unacceptable.

Food average at best.

Look out for insects. Not recommended.

So this is my first time EVER writing a review and this place p*ssed me off that much for me to sign up. The atmosphere is pretty nice ill give them that, restaurant next to a high ceiling cafeish area with trees and then the club upstairs...the main problem with this place is SERVICE! just horrible in general, took the waitress 20 min just to bring the table six shots and when we didnt tip her over 20% she started to make a huge scene about it, she started complaining how it was a slow night and whatever and that we needed to tip her more...but wait, if it was such a slow night then why did it take you 20min just to bring 6 shots????? BS! later that night we asked her for some water for my gf and she just walked away and i ended up just going to the bar and getting it myself, this place is horrible AND if you're a guy or with a bunch of your guy friends don't expect to get in without a girl on your arm, they are strict as hell with the 1 to 1 ratio AND theyll test you by asking both of you the other's names so just a heads up!!! just dont go ..there are better lounges/restaurants out there that offer stronger/cheaper drinks, no hardcore bouncers, and better service! :-|

Pros: "outdoor" cafe, if you smoke you can smoke inside.....management doesnt care :-|

Cons: service, overpriced/weak drinks, strict dresscode, strict 1 to 1 ratio, b*tchy waitress

The behavior of the staff in this place is unbelievable, and in some instances, downright illegal. In one instance - I WAS PHYSICALLY PREVENTED FROM LEAVING THE BAR. If you go to the rear part of the bar, there is only one way out, which is through the front entrance. On the night I was there, they decided that the front part of the bar was too crowded, so they set up a velvet rope and a bouncer preventing people in the rear part of the bar from going into the front part. The only problem is that THE ONLY WAY OUT WAS THROUGH THE FRONT PART OF THE BAR. Even after explaining to the bouncer and the clipboard girl that I just wanted to LEAVE, I was told I had to wait. Great - now the rest of my party is leaving, and I am basically TRAPPED in your bar? I hope they don't send their bouncers after me now that I'm posting this review, considering they seem to think nothing of the fact that it's illegal to detain your patrons. Better double bolt the doors tonight!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Expensive Drinks, Being Held Against My Will, You Know...The Usual

Went here a few times and my friend was over charged on his credit card. Complained and did they did nothing about it. Decided to go again for a friends birthday. Had bottle service and when the bill came charged us double for the bottle. Complained that the price on the menu was different from the bill and the bartender said "oh come on its not that much of a difference".. like she was trying to justify over charging us. Dont trust the bartenders at the bar on the top floor either.. especially the tall black bartender.. he will screw you over on your drinks and expects a huge tip.. I tipped him $5 for 2 drinks and the next time i came back for another my drink had no alcohol and i went to complain to him and he said thats for being cheap on my tip... the mexicans downstairs however are great. Either way unless you want to be ripped off and treated like dirt dont go to this place. If you must go .. dont buy drinks. Oh and the ugly lady at the front door is a huge SOB too... Hope you read this you ugly C*^U*NNN*T.. get a read job.

Haven't been to The Park in a while and decided to take clients there who are visiting from Sweden. I was hesitant to take them to The Park because my previous experience there was less than stellar but I figured it would be a nice night to sit on the garden. The hostess along with one of the waiters (very rude) were not friendly. Didn't look like they wanted to be there. Then we were fortunate enough to be sat in Debora's section on the garden. Her service was excellent. She first helped us choose a great bottle of wine and we let her order food to go with it. Did I mention she's very easy on the eyes? My clients were really impressed and we had a great time. If you go, make sure sit in her section. SHE IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!

I have been to the park a few times. The first time i came on a weeknight with a few co-workers and had a great time. Though the bill was super high, we figured it was worth it since we enjoyed ourselves. The other 2 times i came was on a weekend and the people working the door were rude, obnoxious and unnecessarily so. They forget this place really isnt that serious yet they act as if this is the only place in NYC. The only good thing is the bartenders are really friendly. Food is nothing special and I think in the an area such as Chelsea there are way better places to have dinner and drinks.

The Park has a very nice atmosphere and very resonable prices considering the area! We went out tonight (6 girls) for dinner and drinks, originally booked in the garden but when arrieved there found it to be over heated! so we ended up sitting inside for dinner and went out afterwards in a cool side of the garden, right before it started dripping over us! (so much for their covered garden). The food was average, scene was hot, but service was horrible!
When we first got there it was only 3 of us, we were told we can't sit for dinner unless the whole party is there!, and the rest of us weren't showing up for another 2 hours! after finishing dinner we went out for coffee. After making our orders the waitress seemed to missunderstand one of them. After 2 people came out from the kitchen to ask us who ordered the latte, and we're like we didn't! she came up to us telling one of the girls YES YOU DID with an attitude!, and she kept insisting and saying you should know what you're ordering! WTF it's just a latte!!!!! to just get rid of her we were like listen we didn't order it but you can leave it it's not worth this discussion! she took it and walked away!
All i can say is that the staff is really rude, we loved the place but we're def. not going back.

This has to be one of my favorite places in the City. This atmosphere is relaxed and sophisticated. Dress up if you want to go there so you could fit in. Inside, the decorations are beautiful at this Mediterranean Style restaurant. When you first walk in you will see a bar, to the left are the tables to dine, the upstairs is a lounge/bar, and the second floor is more like a club zone with a bar. Did I mention they have an outdoor portion? All this variety in one place. I highly recommend this place. You can dine and have a few drinks, then dance the night away.

I'm not sure who was worse, the bartender who did not pour the sangria my friends and I ordered or the waiter who spil a glass of sangria all over my friend!! Appetizers were ok but the main dishes were overloaded with salt.

This was probably the worst dining experience of my life. I guess I should have left when we ordered a pitcher of sangria from the bar and the bartender gave us glasses and the pitcher and walked away without pouring our drinks. It only got worse from there. They forced 6 of us to squeeze into a semi circle booth where we were virtually on top of one another. The waiter had such an attitude and seemed so annoyed that we were there. He then proceeded to knock down my glass of sangria which went all over my friend's pants and HE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE OR GET US NEW NAPKINS, WE WERE BASICALLY CLEANING UP THE TABLE OURSELVES.

The food was horrible and salty and we all jumped up to leave before the dessert menu came. I've had a better meal at my local diner and at McDonald's. Please don't waste your time. The lounge area is not any better....the music was bad and the DJ couldn't seem to regulate the sound. Not the greatest crowd at the bar either.

I work around the corner from The Park, and having an enjoyable lunch there a year ago (ambiance is great), I started going frequently. Recently the service and food has been going markedly down hill as has their delivery service.

I waited 1:20 minutes from the time I ordered my food until it FINALLY arrived. The hostess ignored my calls as I checked on where my order was. The food was like ice when it finally arrived and THEY STILL BILLED MY CREDIT CARD. No, "I'm sorry, your food was late." no "I'm sorry we're swamped here." _ they weren't it was a Monday at 7pm. Come on people, get it together! NOTHING. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to the Park. That's one place I won't visit or order from again.

So we decided to get some dessert and happened to pass by. We've seen it before but never ventured in yet, so we figured we'd give it a try. We asked and were seated outside and as we ordered, a THING (can't say the which 4 legged scavenger m-word as it's prohibited by citysearch) decided to run a few feet behind us. OK, it's outside(ish) in a park environment so a THING, while not the best thing to see, is understandable, if not. It kept running down and left us (and our dessert) alone, so we hurried up a bit (one of our party isn't exactly fond of them, putting it lightly). Next, a bunch of waterbugs (that's what the waiter called them) crawled by and flew at us and our food. If you don't know what they are, they are 2 inch long, ugly as sin and fly. We quickly got up and moved our seats (and food) to another table away from any tree or dirt or nature in general. As we finished up, yet another THING ran by us and into the restaurant itself. We notified the waiter and he was quite sorry for the experience. As for me and my friends, we understood that when you basically have an indoor (and very pretty) park, you're bound to have some uninvited guests. Still, it wasn't an enjoyable. Desserts were pretty good, my favorite being the banana wontons. The crisp of the day (peach in our case) was very good as well. Creme brulee is good but standard. when is it ever bad if done correctly? I would go back if only for drinks on the insistence of others. I'm not going to eat any food when I know what's running and flying around.

Wow, what a great place to eat and party on a Saturday night! We sat in the garden with a great ambiance & style. The restaurant is very well decorated and not too overwhelming. The food was fantastic. Our table ordered the salmon, tun, and penne pastas in which all were delicious! Our server was great, very attentive and on top of everything. The calamari & steamed mussels were fantastic: filled with flavour!! Pricing for the meals were very reasonable & appropriate. The portions were just right.
At midnight the penthouse opens up & turns into a club. The music is the penthouse is more club/dance, whereas in he atrium, garden & main room the music was mostly hip hop/club/pop. I honestly did not hear one bad song! Service at the bar was very fast, and waitresses are aware of everyone sitting in the booths.
Overall, this was a fantastic place to eat in NYC. If you want to enjoy a great meal, have fun on the dance floor or sit and chat with friends over a few drinks go to the Park! I have been recommeding this place to everyone and I will definitely be returning next time i'm in the city! :)

This place was a beautiful spot -- one of the prettiest outdoor seating that I've seen. But thank goodness that it was beautiful because there wasn't much else to make the experience great. The hostess was rude as can be and the service mediocre. One would have expected more for the price.

I recently went there w/ my family and friends for dinner to celebrate a fun accomplishment. The decor and food were excellent as always but our server Corey was horrible. He was never there and when he was there he was rude and full of bad attitude. Corey was even rude to my older parents who were just happy to be out with all of us for dinner! Quite frankly ,Corey was the worst waiter I've ever had which says a lot considering I was a NY waiter for awhile. I might return and give The Park another shot so long as Corey isn't working there.

Absolutely heed the prior advice on having a girl with you if you're a guy trying to gain entrance. On a Friday night, despite the heavy rain and complete lack of a line, the bouncer uttered towards the ground after I showed her my ID "You need a girl with you". I tried explaining to her that I was with a large party already upstairs and was again greeted with those same words of denial, without so much of an aversion of her eyes from the piece of paper she was looking at.

I threw a birthday bash here on a Saturday night and followed some of the recommendations to NOT get bottle service and I'm glad I didn't. The music is so GOOD it gets you pumped!! And by 1am all the couches free up and you end up finding a place to sit anyway. Coat check is free and getting in around or before 10pm on the dot is a must if you don't want to wait. Guys must come in with girls or you won't get in! The line to the rooftop opens at 1130, but wait till 12am to head up. A Bartender had a fight with my friend so I suggest getting bombed at the downstairs bar before heading up to the rooftop to party. All in all I had a great and wonderful time there. It's a bit claustrophobic and very very Asian. It lacks a lot of skeevy ppl which is nothing short of awesome. You can dress up or dress casual and you'll fit in. Drinks are a tab expensive ($10 for a Grey Goose cranberry) but even nasty clubs like Webster Hall still charge that price. Also, there is a smoking section right down the stairs from club.

we went to meet our friends at a going-away party. kate (the bouncer), a tall light-haired woman, wouldn't let us inside because we were all guys despite the fact that the girls were inside. i know this may be common among bars and clubs but kate was enjoying herself being rude towards us and i deduce towards others as well. it would not have been a big deal had it not been for her rude and mocking attitude.

if you want rude service you'll find it here.

While the Park has a beautiful indoor garden, sleek design, tasty food, and a yuppie-ish yet good crowd, my recent experience there on Saturday night was appalling. They have few bartenders there to support the high volume crowd which means waiting an inordinate amount of time for drinks. The first bartender I went to took other people ahead of me despite my patiently waiting there and signaling her for about 10 minutes. I left that bar and went to another one only to encounter a more awful bartender. I like to be polite and quickly introduce myself to bartenders. Both male and female bartenders appreciate being acknowledged as genuine people rather than just your provider of drinks. Unfortunately, when I did so with this one, she angrily shrugged her shoulders, yelled, "What do you need!", and before I could respond, she took two other customers' orders purposefully ignoring me. I then stated what drinks I wanted but she refused to serve me . My friend and I left. We go out several times per week all over The City and never experience this degree of hostility, rudeness, and arrogance. Consider going here to sit down with friends or a date for the food but skip the bar scene and instead head to any number of other places in Meatpacking (i.e., Gaslight, Brass Monkey, Gansevoort) where the bartenders are real and nice.

The rude service of the door bouncer is simply overwhelming. This was Friday, Nov 16th, at around 11:30 pm. Each time he let in a woman he would blatantly turn around and stare at her rear as she walked away, until she turned the corner. He did this repeatedly while the rest of us waited in amazement. One woman, having seen him do it to the the women in front of him, even turned around in disgust and shook her head. He still didn't stop! He was wearing a scarf around his neck and a hat, I think he had stubble, he looked swarthy and he wasn't attractive. He needs a lesson in propriety.

After hosting a viewing at a nearby art gallery with many of my closest friends, I decided to lead the group for dinner and drinks at the Park. Imagine my horror and embarrassment when it became clearly apparent to my guests and I that the inside garden dining area was well-populated with animals (think the Mickey and Minnie variety). After several sightings on the walls and trees, one actually ran up next to my friend who was seated adjacent to the garden. This sent the whole table scurrying (pun intended) for cover. We quickly made way for the exit of the restaurant. We communicated the situation and what we had observed to the "manager", who only seemed mildly concerned and our commentary largely fell on deaf ears. With a half-hearted apology from him, we were offered 50% off the food we had ordered (not the entire bill). Given the circumstances, we were absolutely flabbergasted by the offer (to have to pay for 50% of the food prepared in that kitchen! given what we witnessed). But as my guests were becoming squeamish, I settled the matter, paid the bill, and left the restaurant vowing to never return and to also warn would-be diners of the issues with this establishment. More troubling, the restaurant showed a complete lack of concern for the welfare and experience of its patrons. Both during and after our discussions with the waitress and the manager, the restaurant continued seating people in the same area despite the obvious infestation. Unfortunately, the evening out with my friends that I was looking forward to had been ruined.

My family was visiting the city and I took them here... and I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere is beautiful, the food was great and the service was really friendly. Definately recommended.

This place is big and is good for large party but gets kind of annoying if you're not all together and you're searching for people the whole night. There is music is okay and the dance floor is upstair and can get crowded and hot. There is no cover for this place which is a plus but there is a 2:1 guys:girl ratio. They have a greenhouse type of garden where you can sit and smoke. Oh they do serve food late at night too. I heard the chicken potpie is really good!

I went here this summer with a large party and the manager said we would be seated in 45 minutes. We waited. 45 minutes later, she said it would be another 30 minutes. Okay, we understand. We are a large party. The hostess came up to us and said sorry about the long wait. The manager then tells us that she is not sure she can seat us. Mind you, it is a special occassion and eight people are hungry and wanting to celebrate. The hostess approaches us again and says she is sorry about her moody manager. She is difficult to deal with, sorry.... At this point, the manager sees us whispering and I motion to hostess that manager is watching. Hostess casually walks away and when manager return (almost two hours after our arrival) says sorry, but the restaurant is completely booked and there is no way to seat us. We leave, infuriated. The coat check gentleman asks where we are going and we inform him of the situation. He moans. Recommends a great place down the block. Half of my party leaves, other half goes to great new place. The night was okay, but the manager is one to stay away from.

I went there with a group of friends for dinner. So let me begin to tell you what was right about it. Great atmosphere. Very sceney, a nice 'outdoors' seating area that's actually indoors, and there's a lounge area for those who just want a drink.
But here's what's wrong:
-the food was not good
-the staff was rude, especially our waitress who said we couldn't come back if we were going to split our checks again!
-the obnoxious guy who kept coming to our table (not our waiter but like a bus boy or something) who asked us a million questions, took our food before it was finished, etc.
-the drinks were so small. My mojhito, which was not cheap, was like shot glass sized, and my friend ordered a diet coke and it was tiny. They also kept whisking away her glass to give her refills with out asking and mentioning they weren't free.

So I guess that's it. I've been to a ton of restaurants in the city, and that place had by far the worst food and service of all!
