STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! This is a friendly warning to whoever considers calling them. They have been in business for a long time, but their service has disappeared.

On Friday I called to make a reservation and wanted to use a credit card. I was told they now have the credit card machines in the car. The driver showed up 15 minutes late (and I was going to the airport, so on time was essential). The driver did nothing but complain and was honked on twice as he almost cause 2 accidents by cutting people off. He was distracted by his own complaints (which made no sense). Once we arrived at the airport, I handed him the credit card. He misplaced it while taking out his license and card machine from a black garbage bag (now at this point I should have ripped the card out of his hand, but I still thought I could trust him - I trust people, I think they are trustworthy like me). He started rummaging through the garbage bag for the license and the card machine. I saw he was having trouble with this new process they have so I offered to pay cash - and did!!! When I prompted him to return my credit card, he sais "did you give it to me?". He could not find it anywhere. We called Four Ones and spoke to "Rocky". He is, he thinks, everything, including God. He suggested he trusts his long-time driver more than me. Not a good practice, as the adage says "the customer is always right" but at least you give them the benefit of the doubt and listen to them. He would not offer any solutions, suggested I call the cops. I called but as there were no loves in danger, the cops never showed up. The driver was not a criminal and did try to find the card everywhere, but could not. The card disappeared in thin air. He even looked inside my bag, as he thought I still had it. I didn't. I was in tears by this time, as I was going on vacation with no cash and no credit card.

I was going to my goddaughter's graduation and instead of paying for a nice dinner for the family, I ended up being their guest. There is no worse feeling. I spoke to Rocky a few times, and he repeatedly told me he has no time to waste on me. Really nice customer service.

I called him upon my return. According to Rocky (and not Sylvester Stallone - even that one has more humanity than this one), the buck stops with him, there is no one higher than him at the company. Well, if that is true, then it is clear why this company's service has dived. Again do yourself a favor and avoid them, unless you want an old driver to complain the whole time, and if he manages to avoid car accidents due to other drivers' prudence, then he will misplace your form of payment and question you if you did give it to him. Then the manager will accuse you of lying. No thanks, NEVER for me again!!! I have used them when needed for 3 decades, but this was my last time.

I have used this service several times for about three years now, and I have never had a problem with the service. I always made reservations to go to LaGuardia, and they were never late. If anything, they were early.

I have never had a problem with the driver or the cars. I also requested to be picked up at the airport and they came with no problem.

The worst car service around. I have used Four Ones many times. They are always late and always say that the car is on the way - even when they aren't anywhere near. They hang up on you and sometimes don't even show up. You are lucky if they show.I use only if I can't find anyone else and am desperate. The drivers are OK but, the staff is RUDE.

I saw everyones past comments and thought I had to put in my 2 cents. I've called this service on a whim when needing to head into Manhattan and another time for a pickup at JFK. I've had no complaints! In fact the driver was very friendly and pleasant and I'll for sure be using this car service again. It gets worse and worse. When I visit my family now, I'm going to look for a different service to take. The driver was pissed because my suitcase was heavy even though I never asked him to touch it, let alone pick it up, and then got annoyed with me when we got into the city and I was trying to explain to him that he couldn't drive down a certain street due to it being cut off and even said to me, "What? You think I wouldn't see it when I get there?" so I got tired of even trying to talk to him even though I watched him drive to the wrong address which he realized when we got there. He was a massive jerk, rude, disrespectful, trashy and creepy.

***And to one of the previous reviewers who worked for Four Ones who says that NYC cabbies are rude, I think you only feel this way because you work for Four Ones and that's the quality there. Lindy's in Queens is never rude and the majority of yellow taxi drivers in the city aren't. I was born and raised here. Rude cab drivers aren't common.

Everything people have said is correct! They want to go their own way! They're rude, this is NYC! All cabbies are like that!But, I was a driver with them for 3 years! They're still around, because pretty much: "LEAD THE WAY!"

I have used this car service for years and I have always had a very good experience with it. The drivers were always on time, provided safe service and eclectic conversation. I am surprised at the reviews this company has gotten and definitely recommend it.

I've used Four Ones quite a bit during the past 3-4 yrs. I've always used car service to get from home to airports and in more than a decade of doing so in the NYC area, Four Ones charges the most of any service I've ever used, yet in my current residence, I travel the least distance ever. Their prices are at least 50%, and usually much more, higher than others. They have on two occasions not shown up (both times, I was travelling during the week for business); both times I called them out of desperation and they dispatched cars at that time. Once, a driver insisted on stopping at a deli to get cash before taking me to the airport.

I switched to a new car service that I find to be half the price, yet with professional, timely, courteous drivers. I'm not planning to use Four Ones ever again.

The driver arrived at the appointed time. I had a comfortable ride with diversions to avoid traffic which was appreciated. We arrived in time for my appointment. Also, good conversation.Pat Mc - Forest Hills.

Return from the Vet - I was picked up at the appointed time - a little earlier. The driver came over to me - I was sitting on the set with my cat. He asked if I was waiting for a car - I said yes. Off we sent. No problems, and we were home promptly. Very good.l

My pick up time came and went. I called them. They said 3-4 minutes more. Called again, they hung up on me. Then they never showed. I had arranged pick up the night before. I missed my flight. Use them at your own risk.

I was a little worried when I read some of the reviews after I had booked their services. I have a tight schedule and needed to catch a flight without much time to spare. I booked the car in advance and the driver arrived exactly on time. The car was nice and I made it to JFK in plenty of time to catch my flight. I'll be calling this company again.

when I see one of their cars on the road I get as far away as possible, had near collisions with their cars three times -- have seen them drive up on sidewalks, cross yellow lines into oncoming traffic and go down one way streets the wrong way.

Yeah, so they're not your normal cab company, they're a car service, and they've got some flavor. But they're always on time, always nice to me and mine when they pick us up and drop us off. When I moved here, they were great, even gave me quick pointers on the way to and from places on where to eat, best places to shop, best bargains. I love them. So five stars for being themselves and still being great.

Most of the vehicles should not be on the road, given their mechanical condition. There is no professionalism at all, from the dispatcher to the drivers. If given the choice, I would take mass transit over this car service.

I can only guess that the good reviews below are plants from the company itself, because my wife and I have been using them for the last couple years off and on and they are truly awful.

Like some below have stated, they are late consistantly, and calling multiple times, sometimes 30 mintues to an hour after scheduled pickup does little except to cause you more aggravation.

The comments regarding their drivers are dead on, they are crazy and will make you worry for your safety, especially Gary. We finally found a new service and have said goodbye to four one's for good.

I am stunned by the fact that they are still in business. I just moved to the neighborhood and recently used them for the 5th and LAST time. The dispatcher (always someone different) gives you the standard 15-20 minutes speech when you need a car immediately, however, they consistently show up a half an hour late (and that's after 2 additional phone calls).
The last guy I drove with had been smoking prior to my getting in the car and the whole cab smelled like an ashtray. When I told him that I was running late for a doctor's appointment he told me that I should have called earlier for the cab and not to blame them. I told him that I had called an hour earlier for the car and that his company lied to me once again.
The worst part are the drivers. I have never seen such a weird cast of characters. Clearly these people can't get jobs ANYWHERE else because they all seem to end up working here. I have also experienced them using ethnic and racial slurs and in this day and age, it's not only disgusting, it's illegal. I would say something to them, but I am afraid that someone might come after me. I am sure there are drug problems as well, because one of the drivers was talking so fast, he could barely get the words out of his mouth. I blame mangement for all of this and they need to take a serious look at the way the company is run not to mention take training classes in customer service. All I can say to anyone who wants to use them is "beware and travel at your own risk".

Rude and unreliable is an understatement!we tried them several times to pick us up from our apartment to go to the local airports. Anytime of the day - even with advanced booking you can not rely on them since they will take your booking and NEVER send you a car until you literally beg and argue with them. My initial feelings towards this company were good. I called around to get the best rate from an address of Queens Blvd to the Red Hook piers as I was taking a Princess Cruise. Their rate was 22$, the best I found. I got picked up on time but when I arrived at the dock the driver said $30. I explained I was qouted at $22 and the driver called the dispatcher who said it was a mistake and the price was $30. I also asked the dispatcher when booking about picking me up 9 days later when the ship returns and he said no problem, call when you dock and give us the time you want to be picked up.

I was going to disembark the ship at roughly 9:15 so I called and asked to be picked up at 10AM. The girl who answered the phone was polite and said hold on for confirmation. An obnoxious man whpo was the dispatcher got on the phone and said we don't do pick ups there, only drop offs and he said get a yellow cab and hung up the phone on me.

Well I took his advice as I was lucky enough to have a few yellow cabs lined up outside on the dock. I took a yellow home for $35 which was a deal as the car services waiting there were charging $55-70 for the same ride. It appears as if most of the car services don't have arranged pick ups but do wait at the dock and charge twice what they do to get you there. I took the cab drivers name and personal cell as he told me he lives in Queens and if I ever need a ride there or to thw airport again to call him directly and he or one of his friends would pick me up in a yellow can.

This company has a lot to learn regarding customer service and honesty. I would rather walk then use them again.

How and where can I start? Besides the usual rude, crude and otherwise unprofessional manner of "gary" who seems to have utter distain for his job and life. Comes across as a cackling, adrupt, rude, and downright unprofessional individual. THen there is the late cars, the cars that take 30,40 min to an hour to get to my house, that other services take 10-15 min if that. I have been left in the lurch not knowing if they are coming and going.Asking on the where abouts of the car being sent, I have had "gary" hang up on me, curse at me. Let's just say i'd like to have an exchange of more than just words. The drivers though some of them are polite, and courteous, some are are down right racist,absolute gutter-trash with their racially & ethnically colorful commentary as if my being white gives them a soapbox to shout from. I sit there in astonishment, as to where these people come from. I would say if you haven't had an issue yet, you soon will, just give it time. They have been reported to the BBB from what I have seen on plenty of occasions, and I am in the middle of finding an approach and or number in which to have the "higher-ups" informed of "gary's" colorful behavior.This dude needs to be promptly fired and kicked on his duff. Id say go to any local Queens taxi service which have similar pricing to them, e.g. Central is highly rated, they call me or refer to me by name, Hoyt taxi (hoyt is a bit more expensive $2-4 on average but the cars are absolutely awesome not one single dirty, crummy jalopy, always a killer Lincoln town car, or executive and also very fast service as well on average i waited 5-10 min, same with central.). In any event, I feel its my duty to inform others of my experiences. I will put it simply when the time comes when you have a run with good ol' gary... "i told you so" the halarious thing is, the drivers cant even stand him.

THen there is the late cars, the cars that take 30,40 min to an hour to get to my house, that other services take 10-15 min if that. I have been left in the lurch not knowing if they are coming and going.Asking on the where abouts of the car being sent, I have had "gary" hang up on me, curse at me. Let's just say i'd like to have an exchange of more than just words. The drivers though some of them are polite, and courteous, some are are down right racist,absolute gutter-trash with their racially & ethnically colorful commentary as if my being white gives them a soapbox to shout from. I sit there in astonishment, as to where these people come from. I would say if you haven't had an issue yet, you soon will, just give it time. They have been reported to the BBB from what I have seen on plenty of occasions, and I am in the middle of finding an approach and or number in which to have the "higher-ups" informed of "gary's" colorful behavior.This dude needs to be promptly fired and kicked on his duff. Id say go to any local Queens taxi service which have similar pricing to them, e.g. Central is highly rated, they call me or refer to me by name, Hoyt taxi (hoyt is a bit more expensive $2-4 on average but the cars are absolutely awesome not one single dirty, crummy jalopy, always a killer Lincoln town car, or executive and also very fast service as well on average i waited 5-10 min, same with central.). In any event, I feel its my duty to inform others of my experiences. I will put it simply when the time comes when you have a run with good ol' gary... "i told you so" the halarious thing is, the drivers cant even stand him.

I called the day before to arrange an early morning ride to the airport, and then again the morning of to confirm. When no car arrived as scheduled, I called to check its whereabouts and was assured that one was "on the way." After 15 more minutes of standing on the street with my luggage, I called still another time and was rudely placed on hold for five minutes before I finally hung up and called another service. They picked me up within three minutes. I would rather walk to LaGuardia than waste my time with Four Ones ever again. How they manage to do business amazes me.

This car service is a staple in Queens. Whenever you need to rely on a car service to get you to an airport, and appointment, or anyplace you need to go, in good or poor weather, call Four Ones. Their number is easy to remember..they always pick up their phone..they are there when you need them..and they get you where you need to go on time and without incident. A permanent number to your important phone number list. I always relied on them to get me to the airport on time (and to pick you up there too). Reliable and not too pricey.

Since there are so many car services in queens you dont know who to call. I always call 411's . They are reliable and they are always on time. Just tell them you are going to the airport and will have a larger car for you so the luggage can fit. The may be alittle pricey but they are worth it. This the only car service I use .

Four Ones has the best cars of any car service that I've used. They're a bit more expensive than other car services, but it's worth it to pay to get a decent car with air conditioning. I usually just walk to their shop and usually I have to wait less than 5 minutes to get a car.
