    In the past 2 years, I have purchased 2 laptops, a desktop, a high end printer, and 3 cameras from Best Buy. I was sold the best extended warranties on all the products, which I was assured would cover anything that went wrong ( except for the products being crushed or immersed in water). I also paid an extra $50 for in-home computer service. First, one of the laptops had to be sent out - the CD tray was not functioning - still not working. Then one of the camera's stopped working and was sent out only to be returned because "impact damage" voided the warranty-they did offer to fix the camera for $130 - more than half the cost of a brand new comparable camera. Then, my printer stopped working. When I called the store, they said I had to call an 800 #, which I did. After more than 2 hours on the phone with a Best Buy rep trying every which way to fix the problem, he concluded that it was an internal problem with the printer and instructed me to take the printer back to the store. They sent it out and 4 weeks later called me to tell me the printer is fine, and quickly concluded that the problem is with the software in my computer, which is not covered under the warranty. They refused to come out to look at my computer (unless I wanted to pay $100+) even though I paid extra for that part of the warranty. Today, I had another camera problem. They didn't even want to send it out because they could tell by looking closely at a certain angle that there was "impact damage" on the screen (which is not part of the issue - it just won't turn on) that wouldn't be covered, so why waste the time. BUYER BEWARE - BEST BUY LOVES TO SELL WARRANTIES BUT WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY NOT TO HONOR THEM. IF YOU DON"T LIKE FRUSTRATION, DON'T SHOP AT BEST BUY.

    Can I give them ZERO stars? This store is the worst as far as communication goes. My mom bought a camera that worked for maybe 2 years. She lost the receipt, but had the extended warranty and found it JUST after it expired (I am talking days). We were in there shopping and decided to ask the man in the camera dept. He told us to bring it back no problem! We went home and brought it back and they couldn't do anything for us. So we wasted our time and gas and the Manager couldn't even give us the decency to come up to talk to us, he sent the assistant who was a jerk! This is after we bought our big screen tv and other smaller (but big ticket) items there.

    It is difficult to get someone to wait on you in the store and they are not at all helpful over the telephone. Once a purchase is made, after the sale service is poor.

    Best Buy is the leading business for any electronics, appliences and repair service. I had to take my pc in 2 different times to be repaired. The service staff was excellent in testing my pc, and coming up with what was wrong with it. Though they are a little high priced (not to bad) but they can ALWAYS fix the problem.. They even tell you if it'll be worth getting it fixed or to just buy a new one. They also fix my pc fast... in under a hour both times... Great and fast service best buy.

    Best Buy is a good store to buy all the newest electronic equipment. They have a large selection from cd's and video games to allnewest home appliances.

    I used to get excited when I went to Best Buy but then I realized that all of the prices I am looking at require a rebate. When I did purchase something I often struggled to get the rebate money back.

    This store has tons of electronics and lots of different price ranges. I like the fact that every once in a while you can also find floor models for a whole lot cheaper.

    I dont shop at Best Buy very often because I dont like thier rebate program. I would rather shop somewhere that had thier merchandise already discounted. I dont want to bother with the hassle of rebates, mailing, saving receipts etc. However, I do think they have a great selection of appliances, and music/dvd collection. Parking is always packed there and the lines are sometimes long.
