The Plaza has emerged from a $400 million transformation to reflect a new and contemporary spirit. While traditions remain, such as opulent Beaux Arts decor, Afternoon Tea at the Palm Court, and the legendary Oak Room and Oak Bar, exciting new offerings include the elegant Champagne Bar and stylish Rose Club, an interior Tranquility Garden, and white glove Butler service on every floor. Also new to The Plaza is a world-class Retail Collection, a Caudalie Spa, Fitness Center by Radu, and a Warren Tricomi Salon. The Plaza offers 282 guestrooms, including 102 suites, which boast the largest square footage of any luxury property in New York. From the sumptuous decor to the impeccable white glove service, The Plaza is an extraordinary hotel that offers every indulgence from the moment a guest checks in.

The Plaza is located next to Central Park which makes it convenient to many things including the high end stores like Bloomingdales and also the Central Park Zoo.
This is an elegant, expensive hotel that I treat myself to once in a blue moon. The Oyster Bar on the first floor is wonderful, serving raw oysters that are mouthwatering and go well with champagne.
The rooms are superior and room service is amenable.

The Plaza hotel is famous from being in many movies and books. Remember Eloise? And it does have the panache that comes with being a very sought after address. The Oak Bar is a great place for drinks and getting a real feeling of being in New York.

My husband and I are world travelers. We've been to some of the greatest resorts and hotels in places like Dubai, Spain, Bahamas, etc etc. The point is, we've been to all and seen it all and yet at the end of the end I want my head to rest on none other than a Plaza hotel suite bed.
Their rooms are fabulous, and beds are ultra lux.
YOU MUST experience the Plaza for yourself, since words can't really describe.
Also, now that they have included a retail shopping center after my cup of coffee and pastry from Demel Bakery (yuuummm!!) , or glass of fine wine from the Oak Bar, I can stroll down and do what a gal loves to do best: shop shop shop!
My friends and family loves the gifts I buy them from the Plaza Botique, and the Qiviuk gloves I bought for our winter Aspen get away were a live saver.

What are you waiting for...book now!!! Maybe I'll also go and bother my husband about visiting NY soon ;)

Pros: gorgeous decor, fabulous service, lovely people

Cons: not enough vacation time to stay there!!! (haha)

Luxury at its best I have to say. Any ime we stay in The Plaza when we come from London we get the extra attention and extra care. It is very good stay for a business trip overseas. All the amenities and Barocco apartments with 18th century furniture are the must to be used at least once to fall in love with this place. No detail is left alone without staff attention. The visit to New York starts here!

Pros: Service

Cons: none
