this place, like a handful of pizza establishments nearby is just swell. the dough is fresh, the ingredients are as well, and the staff is very amenable. if u find yourself at this spot, stop by.

Great wood-fired pizza. Cooked individually so do not arrive together but that's fine. Did not find much of an atmosphere and would prefer not to be able to look into the kitchen but great service and very friendly and dare I say attractive waiting staff. Expensive though. So if you are a local this is a great spot for a genuine and authentic pizza. If you are on a date, perhaps not the best spot to impress, but you will be sure to get a god meal! Desert was a bit disappointing. Cappucino way below standard for a serious Italian restaurant. Guys cappucino should have no bubbles. I go by the greater than 10 bubble rule. This one had over 100 bubbles. Youch! I would rather stop by Eatily for my coffee.

Take your date to La Piazzetta when you're in the neighborhood.... Cozy and romantic, with seamless service in the background. Unforgettable marinara, if you're into this timeless Italian treat.

Pretty place, but kind of out of the way, at least for us. Great service, excellent house red wine. Homemade pasta, which I haven't had in a long time. Yummy pizza. I really recommend it.

Pros: sophisticated flavors

Cons: food is rich

The food will more than satisfy your taste buds - what Chef Cuozzo does with the ingredients is amazing. The unique pairing of spices and herbs makes each dish POP.

The ambience is so enchanting; ivy up the walls, candlelit tables, skylit ceiling, bare brick wall. You can't ask for a more perfect setting for a lovely dinner.

La Piazzetta is were true Italians go to eat - there are MANY regulars. The chatter of Italian really has you feel that you are in some piazza in Naples.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I have been dining at La Piazzetta for quite a few years now almost since they have opened, and have never been dissappointed. For the person who wrote the mozzarella is old, the chianti is watered down thats Bul... I have imported buffalo mozzarella and diff. cheese from italy that are exquisit every time I go and the house wine is always on point.... "the waiters hands are not clean"...C'MON what nonsense is that. Puttanesca and Alfredo? I have never seen these pasta dishes on the menu before. If you are looking for old italian cuisine you are in the wrong place. Every time I go to La P. my experience seems like it always gets better. Chef Francesco your a style and taste is unforgettable. Not to forget the wonderful staff, always making me feel at home...Highly recommended ...The ossobuco and risotto...WOW

I do not understand how some people that don't like this restaurant is still going for at least 4 times, must be a masochist.
I have a good experience in La Piazzetta, especially with Francesco and the whole team. Excellent service and food. The first time that I went to La Piazzetta I had pasta with seafood, I felt in paradise!!. First time in my life that I had such experience in one restaurant. Since then, every time that I have anything in La Piazzetta is like returning to Italy.

As per a family restaurant, ask Francesco, he knows how to make kids enjoying his food.

This place is for old people who have lost their taste buds. I've been here four times because I am crazy and keep giving it 'one more try.' The service is pretty much non existent - a fairly quick lunch is an hour and half, while a leisurely dinner is three hours?!! You're only eating for maybe 20-25 minutes and waiting and waiting and waiting the rest of the time while the waiter ignores you. How on earth does it take an hour to make carbonara or puttanesca or alfredo pasta? Not an hour. Also, the waiter don't wash their hands. I've seen it countless times. The chianti is watered-down house read. ICK! The salad is never fresh, the mozzarella is old, the cheese is not fresh grated, this place is as bad as the Olive Garden. Mario Batali eat your heart out? Are you crazy? No way, this place is the pits and it always gives me the (rhymes with 'pits).

A very cozy romantic atmosphere. Francesco the Chef is outstanding. Mild mannered, old school tradition, well organized. His passion to cooking is unmatched, he is a culinary professional, but his passion is a gift given to Francesco from his momma Couzzo. Mr.Xavier you're great. Carlo you're a great co-owner. This is the only place where my own dad would eat at least 3 bowls of Marinara sauce Francesco makes, as if it was his favorite soup. Mr.Mario your deserts rock...the prices are moderate, the service is unmatched and the antique bar well it has a history in itself. Great place to take a date out.

I found it by chance last year on a friend last minute recommendation and I've been hooked ever since. If there is a party there, you'll have no other choice but to dance, not because they'll force you, but because the ambiance is SO great. Food is excellent, and so is the service. It was remodeled recently, and it looks even better. Once, they have this young couple, that they sang in English, Spanish, Italian, Sicilian, etc, without an accent in any of the languages, it was so inviting that I saw a 90 years old woman dancing. For a nice family oriented place, dont miss this one.

If you go in the daytime, it feels like you are dining in an Open Garden, because of the glass Rooftop; at night, it's romantic and the atmosphere is great.

The food is incredible! The best thing I had there so far was the sweet potato soup, mashed sweet potatoes (when in season)and the lobster tails with champagne sauce!

I've also had some private parties there with family - excellent food and service.
Chef Francesco made this past New Year's Eve memorable.

Pros: excellent wines, best risotto, Owner's present

Cons: none, none

Often crowded. Music is sometimes too loud, but the staff will turn it down if you ask. The reason it is loud is because of the acoustics in the restaurant that allow conversations to carry clearly and easily, and the music blocks that out. Their music selection is usually relatively good and unique, though. They sometimes have a live piano player who does lounge singer type stuff, but quite well. Can be fun.

That's all I can really criticize them for :)
Best Italian food I have had in Brooklyn!!!
They deliver, too.

I was visiting from Massachusetts and wanted to take my daughter to dinner. I did a search for places to dine in her neighborhood. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the food ( unbelievable ) the atmosphere (felt like I was in Italy) and the prices ( very reasonable) The cold antipasto stole my heart and palate. My daughter is a chef in Manhattan and she was impressed as well. Her veal was outstanding . I recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food. Oh and the cannoli OH MY GOSH the best I have ever eaten. I will go back there several times before returning to Massachusetts

I LOVED the food here! The service left something to be desired. My friend and i went in and waited to be noticed let alone seated for a good 5 minutes, when we flagged a waiter who was no help and were seated by a bartender. We chose to sit outside, which was nice, but the outdoor furniture isnt the most comfortable. I would recommend to them better outdoor furniture. The waiter was nice, not very attentive, but overall ok. and the food was AMAZING. I would go back just for the Penne with zuccini and cherry tomoatoes was soo good, and what my friend go he loved too, i'm not sure what it was exactly some potoato pasta. but anyway great food ok service

From the moment you walk in , you will be taken back by the atomosphere, and the food is better than any Italian Restuarant I have ever been to.

I absolutely reccommend La Piazzetta to families, dates, girls or guys night out and perfect for parties. I have had several parties here and they were a hit!

Everything from the service, food, atmosphere and wine list is great. Since it is not in the trendy part it is more of a unique and traditional italian restaurant. The food was excellent. I would recommend the Gnocci, ravioli or risotto. The pastries are delicious too. Try this place you will not be disappointed.

The food at La Piazetta has great flavor, subtle yet incredible taste. I love the friendly feel to the whole place it felt like cheers. From the moment you step in everyone greets you like you been there before.

The high glass ceiling brings great warmed and the lighting is something very special you won't find anywhere else.

It's also great place to drink wine as they have a good selection.

I highly recommend this restaurant for big parties as well as to romance someone.

I've tried plenty of the neigborhood restaurants and they're OK, but this one has something different about it. You can go out to eat here on a first date to impress a girl and not go broke in the meantime or for a business lunch to close a deal, or just in jeans on any night of the week for a simple plate of risotto at the bar and still feel comfortable. Even though I had only been there once before I was made to feel as though I was a regular customer. The host made me feel right at home and even the chef came out to greet my table. I was very impressed by that! Try any one of the homemade pasta dishes, they're inexpensive and delicious.

I have lived in this neighborhood for many years now, and I have watched business come and go. I remember when La Piazzetta (Graham Central) was a laundromat and it just amazes me how the owners were able to transform it into a pleasant ambiance. The food is gourmet level at a reasonable price. My wife and I can't get enough of it, so we make it a point to go once a week to wind down and catch up. My only complaint is that I wish the music was a little more versatile.

I rather take a 10 mintue train ride to La Piazetta from union sq cause for the price and great food is worth it. The price is right also... brooklyn prices not manhattan... hehe.

It was raining so hard the night we coincidentally took shelter underneath the canvas awning of LaPiazzetta Restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Shockingly it was the first time we've ever noticed this restaurant. We sat outside under the star painted ceiling watching the rain drench the sidewalk, only 10 feet in front of us. It was cozy and we kept dry. Javier, the waiter came over with fresh warm bread with olive oil and balsamic for dipping. We enjoyed the soft music while waiting for our homemade pasta and Salmon stuffed with crab meat. Delish! The atrium dining room where we enjoyed warm strawberry crepes for dessert and homemade anisette was romantic yet casual and the sound of the rain beating on the glass ceiling along with the live jazz band made for a very memorable night. We've been back 4 times so far and still love it.
