I had the worst experience I've ever had at a primary care physician's office in my entire life. I have recently moved to NYC and needed a primary care physician. I needed a physician for two reasons: because all women should have one 2. because I needed a referral for surgery. The staff at Dr. Alice Coghill's office was very friendly and warm. When I called to schedule the appointment they reassured me that Dr. Alice Coghill would be able to handle everything I needed. Well, when I arrived, once again, the staff was nice, but Dr. Alice Coghill was another story..... She entered into the room very unfriendly, asked me why I was there, I told her and she immediately told me to get dressed ( this was news since the nurse had asked me to get undressed and I expected an exam). Then she returned five minutes later yelling that I needed my OBGYN to handle this (which my OBGYN was the one who told me I need the primary care physician) I told her that there was no reason for her to be getting upset, I'm new and I just want the work that I needed to be done done... she had no compassion. Basically, she left the room, came back with the referral, handed it to me, shook my hand and said, "nice meeting you." and left the room. That was it. She never asked if I needed anything (which I did) she didn't say anything.... Unfortunately for me I actually need a lot of testing to see if all of my medical concerns are going to be okay. She was unwelcoming, the least caring physician I've ever met, and the least bit professional. I would NOT recommend her to my worst enemy.

Pros: The staff is very friendly

Cons: The actual physician ( the one who actually matters) was very unkind
