We stayed at the Hilton on 2/6/2011, to see a play and go the the MET. Overall, not a bad hotel, but limited service, and rude staff. I was appalled when they charged my debt card $100.00, and yet gave me a balance of zero at check out. This is not a good practice. I would never stay here again....

I gave this hotel 2 chances to make me happy....they failed horribly both times. First time I went I had tickets to the Tony's. I locked them in the safe with my car keys and since the idiots there have the safe attached to the fridge at the bottom...It leaked water in to the safe nearly ruining my tickets. Also, this hotel must have some kind of policy on do not disturbs signs that has the maids knocking on your door when the sign is up. This is a true story...I had my ""Do Not Disturb"" sign up and housekeeping actually called me to verify that I did not want to be disturbed. Think about that for a moment. So the second time i stayed there I decided not to put anything in the safe. When I hung the ""Do Not Disturb"" sign this time they knocked on my door to make sure I really didn't want service. THIS PEOPLE ARE INCOMPETENT BEYOND MEASURE. Seriously folks, I'd recommend staying somewhere else. No late fare room service, the bar is DEAD and the foot traffic on the street is such that you can't negotiate to get a cab or to walk to the subway. I'd go to the Doubletree. Basically they have the same rates and the foot traffic is slower. You can also hail a cab easily because they're always driving by, unlike the Hilton where you have to catch a cab on 41st and construction makes that street totally dead. You can easily wait 20 to 30 mins for a cab there.

Pros: heh...they offer express checkout

Cons: too many to name. Seriously.

This became our favorite Hilton a few years back. It's an incredible location in Times Square, but also gives you a bit of a reprieve from the normal hustle-and-bustle of big Times Square hotels with the lobby and bar up on like the 25th floor.

This is a pretty impressive block of 42nd street, especially if you remember just 10-15 years ago.

I stay here every chance I can when in the CIty.

No doubt Hilton Time Square has an exceptional location.
But I expect more. They don't provide a shuttle from the airports to the hotel, which seemed like a no brainer when it comes to customer service.
The rooms are incredibly beautiful and very comfortable.

I'll have to say that when it was raining, they provided umbrellas for all of their customers. That was really nice, but I bet as much it was to stay there, it was included in the price of the room.

PROS: great location, everything is in walking distance, great rooms
CONS: Don't have shuttle from airport, you get what you pay for

Hilton Times Square is in a prime spot for any tourist as its name suggest. Time square has everything for a tourist from the bright lights to huge buildings. They have good rates at off season, however during the year at ideal traveling times, things can get to be a bit pricey.

Located between Central Station and Times Square, this hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to many Broadway theatres and restaurants. It's also got great rooms for when you're not exploring the city!

This is great 4-star hotel in Times Square. This is the perfect location if you plan on being in New York and seeing Broadway shows, everything is within walking distance. Rooms are very nice. We had a great view from an upper floor. They also have a very cool martini bar with huge windows and great views. I recommend coming here, even if you're not a guest of the hotel, for post-show drinks.

I'm giving this a three-star rating based exclusively on the hotel itself - not the location. If you factor in the location, it is raised to a four-star rating.

The room was nice - had an "adjoining door" which I'm not a big fan of - I could hear people talking and laughing loudly in the next room. Fortunately, it didn't last through the night. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I thought the common areas (hall, elevator) where a little unkept - but as long as the room was nice, I consider that less important.

Ice was available on my floor, however there was not an ice container in my room. I didn't bother to call for one - and bought bottled water at a nearby shop. My room (on the 29th floor) had a nice view of 42nd Street, very good air conditioning, and was a very nice size.

It was a little tricky finding the entrance to this hotel from 42nd Street - it's a narrow entry - very low-key - to an entrance that takes you to two elevators that go up to the lobby on the 21st Floor of the building. The front desk staff were very nice and welcoming. As a Hilton Honors member, I also had a "welcome letter" upon my arrival.

The value was average for NYC standards - I've paid a little less for a better room - but then again, those rooms weren't in the heart of the Theatre District and Times Square.

I stayed at the hilton May 25-29,2005 the hotel is very nice inside and out. We arrived at 6:15 am and even though check-in was at 3:00 pm they allowed us to check in anyway since there were rooms that were ready. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and we had a geat view of the city and the Hudson River and the rooms are spacious. The hotel is in a great location close to subway, food, shopping and of course Times Square! I would absoulty stay at this hotel again!\n

We just returned from the Hilton Times Square. Though we weren't in the room that much, we liked the hotel a lot and would return there anytime. Our room was nice and clean. We had 2 doubles, a desk and a small sitting area. There was a coffee maker, nice art work (limited edition pieces), and paper each morning. We did not use room service or the hotel restuarant, but they looked good. The only thing we didn't like was the lobby was on the 22 floor so you had to change elevators to get to your room. The bell hops were a great help with luggage and taxi's.

This hotel has the perfect location for visitors to New York. Half a block from the Times Square subway station - from there you can easily travel anywhere in Manhattan. Yes, the rooms look like any other chain hotel, but they are large, clean, quiet and comfortable, with all the amenities and great views of Midtown and Times Square. The staff was great - very friendly and helpful. We travel to New York every year at Christmas time and will definitely stay there again.

I visited the city in August and after a lot of searching we chose this hotel. I am glad we did. Being from the South (Charleston) we are accustomed to friendliness, and the staff made us feel right at home. I have stayed many places but no where as friendly and helpful. the rooms were nice, included a safe, and a perfect location. I will definitely go back to see the city, and next time I do not have to search for a hotel
