Spumante Restaurant located in East Meadow is without a doubt a hit. The bread basket was phenomenal with home-made focaccia and a delightful sunried tomato, garlic and olive oil spread. The menu had a great selection of antipastos, salads, pastas, and main dishes. We ordered the spaghetti gamberi, st.peters fish and chicken cacciotore. Everything was very tasty and extremly fresh. The dessert list was more then I had expected from italian cheesecake, different types of mouse cakes to home-made cookies for those who went without desser. Overall a great experience and highly recommended if your in the area!

Spumante serves large portions of mediocre standard-issue Southern Italian food in a mediocre setting. The owner/host is friendly enough, and the customers, who appear to be primarily East Meadow locals, seem to be enjoying themselves. If you are not a discriminating diner, and if convenience of location or large portions is your primary concern, this place might fit the bill. But the food is clumsily prepared without care or finesse. The baked clams were so past their prime as to be inedible. Chicken and pork were overcooked and dry, and the norm is to smother most dishes with gloppy cheese and what tastes like an inexpensive canned red sauce. The wine list is ridiculously small and inadequate. Service was spotty, with some long waits and inattentiveness. Spumante may be locally owned, but quality-wise there isn??t much difference between it and Olive Garden.

Spumante is a lovely restaurant - very pretty dining room with a view of Eisenhower Park The food is well prepared, the service very good and they are willing to accommodate you if you want a change in the recipe. They make a great warm balsamic vinagerette salad - which you may have to ask for if not on the menu - it is very large and can feed anywhere from 2 to 4 people. If ;you have a need for catering, they have a catering hall above the restaurant. The parking is ample.

I love everything about this place. I went there after a show at the Coliseum and just fell in love. I had the Home made braciole with cavatelli and my husband had the lobster special. We both agree that they were the best we ever had. The service was very friendly and happy. The homemade tiramisu was so delicious. I can't wait to go back!

I recently dined at Spumante Restaurant and what a treat! For starters, I ordered the stuffed portobello. It was a delight, filled with peices of sausage and served in a tasty, light tomato sauce. Just the right size for a meal opener. For dinner I enjoyed the Chilean sea bass served over black linguini with olives, capers, and a yummy tomato sauce. My companion had the homemade gnochhi and thought he'd died and went to heaven! To round out the meal, we enjoyed a peice of homemade italian cheesake and espresso and cappucino. Be sure to bring your appetite as the portions are huge. The prices were very reasonable and the staff upbeat and friendly. I had a terrific experience at Spumante's from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and hurry on down!
