The owner is a tool. He sells new games on par with major chains (i.e. Walmart, Gamestop, etc.) and used ones for more than comparative stores. Yes he does provide a service to owners of older systems by keeping a stock of older system games, but when it comes to new systems you are better off going to your local Gamestop. When you walk in the store unless you are a frequent customer you are not greeted promptly or curtiously, basically you are treated like an outsider. When selling back old games he will offer you little to nothing. What you do end up selling to him will be put back on the shelves at most likely 300% mark-up. So basically unless you need to pick up a SNES or Gameboy game just go to Gamestop.

I was told straight from the managers mouth that they mark up their merchandise roughly 100% or more then what they pay. They have the worst return policy of any store I have ever dealt with they allow you 30 days receipt only and NO CASH REFUND under any circumstances. Just over all not a great place to buy from the only thing they have going is their selection.

Do ignore the man saying the store made a mistake. He only makes himself look foolish. At the time he bought the game it WAS the newest version. It is not Gameplayers Unlimited's fault the company released a new version a short while after he bought what was indeed the newest version. His idiocy should simply be ignored.

Ive been going to this store for 9 years now, have bought many games and systems from them, and have sold many as well to them. In fact, I still go to them for game transactions, and information on new games, and help when a system breaks down. They are a good group of people, and they do have a tendency to sell for less then the competition.

As for competition, when it comes to variety, they stomp the other guys. Most offer only the new system games, and give no help when you want to go get copy of older games (I.E. Nintedno 64's Duke Nukem series, Perfect Dark, Conkers Bad Furday). Game players offers all the way back to the original Atari games.I'm more then satisfied with this store and its employees.

As a naive consumer of video games, one looks to sources such as Game Players Unlimited to provide knowledge and insight before making a purchase. The knowledge and insight of the associates at this location have proven to be incorrect, insufficient as well as extremely unprofessional. This company provided me with information that convinced me I was purchasing the most current EA Sports game while in fact, I was purchasing a previous version that would be outdated in 10 days from the purchase by a new version and provided no compensation for their error.
After entering the store an associate asked me if I needed any help, I agreed, as I was under the assumption this employee had a broad knowledge of XBOX 360 games. I told this employee I was interested in purchasing the "Newest" version of this particular game. I was provided with the 2009 version of this game and asked this employee what were the improvements from this version to last years. He was unaware. I asked once again, "This is this year's version of this game?" He replied, "Yes." I walked to the register and purchased the game for $50.00.
When I got home, I popped in the disc and began to enjoy my newly purchased game. For the next few days I played the game here and there until I turned on my XBOX 360 and saw three red rings around the power button! A close friend had this problem and provided me with instructions to send the XBOX 360 to Microsoft.
After sending the XBOX 360 to Microsoft, I saw a commercial for this same game, except a newer version was being released in one week! At first I was confused, then slightly upset as I was provided with information from Game Players Unlimited that I had purchased the "Newest" version of this game. In addition to the XBOX 360, I sent in the game disc I had just purchased, as it was stuck in the game tray. I waited the two weeks and received my XBOX 360 repaired with the game disc. Immediately after receiving the disc, I went to Game Players Unlimited with the original receipt as well as a letter from Microsoft saying my XBOX 360 and game disc were submitted to Microsoft.
I calmly told the owner (Jason) the issue I was having, providing all documentation hoping I could exchange this game for the current version and pay any difference in the price of the game. Please keep in mind the game was purchased and returned for exchange within less than 30 days (about 2 1/2 weeks) with all documentation being provided.
The hot-head owner raised his voice multiple times when speaking with me, insisted I requested the old version when asking for the "New" and "Current" game, and offered me a measly $20 for a used game (used being 2 1/2 weeks old, and in the hands of Microsoft for two weeks, documented). He replied by saying, "I'm not a baller, I can not lose $30." I informed the owner that I had purchased my XBOX 360 from this store previously, as well as all video games, controllers, etc.
In summary, I was provided with inaccurate information on which game was most current, and when brought to the attention to the owner, no compensation of any kind was possible. This location has proven to be extremely unfriendly to customers with a return policy that will consistently make the customer unhappy, frustrated, and ripped off. I do not recommend this company to anyone. I would provide this company with a 0 Star review if it were possible.
Please keep in mind, there are only two other posts supporting this company. Why waste your time with Game Players Unlimited when you can go to a source with real customer service that will take your complaint honestly instead of an owner who will place the blame on the people who support them.

My family frequents this store at least a couple of times each month. Whenever we go there, the owner and his employees are always friendly and courteous. They always are available to give us game recommendations or to try to locate a game that we are trying to find. This store is top-notch!
