.

This was absolutely the worst place I have ever seen in my life. My mother was sent there for rehab after two brain aneurisms.
She was only there three days and ended up back in the ICU due to their errors.

The place is dirty! You can see stains and dirt on the walls and floors. The rooms are little and very much in need of paint and sprucing up.

The care is awful. There are too many patients per aide and it shows.

They were not around much and would put my mother in a wheelchair and let her sit alone in her room for hours. They were well aware that she needed to be retrained in all aspects of life as she had brain damage that was reversible with retraining yet they didn't try to retrain. She often would sit in her own urine until we got there and changed her ourselves.

She was not to take any pills by mouth as her swallowing was just coming back. She had a feeding tube when she went but they removed it the day she got there against our wishes. She was able to swallow applesauce and pudding type foods but not liquids yet and certainly not pills.

They gave her whole pills to take with water and the end result was aspiration into her lungs and a near death experience that kept her in ICU for months. She was never the same.

This place needs more staff and, if they aren't equipped to handle head trauma patients, should not accept them. I know they do rehab on people who have minor things to work through and some have said they are decent.

That could be. But for us, the experience was our worse nightmare come true.

They didn't communicate with us, they didn't understand the levity and brevity of my mother's needs and they simply could not care for someone who needed full time assistance.

They failed my mother, they failed us, and they made a near grave error.

If you or your family member is referred there, check the place out completely, ask questions, be sure whatever you or they are going there for is something they are equipped to handle. If your loved one h
