I used to take care of the patients there before my name then was Laura Kaminski Now Laura Alasadi .I met a very nice man there with no legs and his name was Casper he would always be waiting for me outside no matter the weather .I hope that he is doing just fine and I would like to wish him and all the others a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year. I miss you all. Take care of yourselves. My email address is lralasadi@yahoo.com. I worked on the 3rd floor both sides.

My mother-in-law is currently residing at James Square.

The facility is clean and the staff if very friendly. Although the rooms are tiny and shared, residents usually are out of their rooms and in the hall or in the day center or the cafeteria.

The staff takes good care of the residents and are sure to call family members whenever a resident has even the slightest bruise, nick, or scrape.

My M-I-L is always clean, dressed nicely, and her hair is brushed and usually put up for her. She is well liked by the staff and they all are extremely friendly to her and very gentle with her.

She has absolutely no complaints about James Square.

They try to make the place cheery with decorations and pictures but it still seems a bit stark and hospital-like.

There are activities and shopping as well as a hair salon. The food looks appealing albeit somewhat bland and special attention is paid to being sure residents get enough to drink and extra calories if they haven't eaten well. Unlike Loretto (see my review), the staff actually cares if someone is losing weight rapidly and will take every precaution to keep their nutrition levels up.

I feel comfortable knowing my M-I-L is at James Square and is safe. She is often taken outside by a caring staff members, something unheard of at Loretto. Both going outside and caring staff members!!

I like James Square. It's not perfect and it's not beautiful but it's friendly and safe and they seem to adhere closely with the patient's bill of rights. We have had very few problems with this facility and are glad to know our loved one is in good hands.

PROS: iFriendly, caring staff, professional, personal attention pad to residents
CONS: Despite attempts, it still seems stark and hospital-like, tiny shared rooms
