Complexions is the best spa/salon I have ever been to the in the Albany area. It offers services of the quality you would expect from New York City, but at a price that is right at home here in Albany. Their hairstylists are great, their massages (especially the hot stone) are incredibly relaxing, and their facials and skin treatments are second to none.
In short, Complexions is a must visit if you are looking for a massage/haircut/facial in the Albany area.

My wife has a friend, David, who she now thinks knows everything. Maybe he does. He told her to go to see Denise and complexions on wolf road because she could make her age spots on her face vanish. David had it done over the summer. Well she went, and now I have to go. I think everyone my wife has ever met will have to go... After doing some research we were amazed at how little it took to erase years of sun damage and this is the most reasonable price we have found for it. It runs about 250.00 per. session and that is half of what other rates were. This new salon on Wolf road is a calm peaceful and beautiful spa. Very professional and such a nice change from the chaos of Kimberly's or Jean Paul. The Decor looks like a high end spa in NY or Chicago. and its a Green building. Highly recommend..

I have curly hair and so I am super picky about who does my hair. I went in last month and the woman was amazing. She knew about my hair type, my coloring, and new product to adjust to living in a new climate. I would continue to go back.

Pam was a great stylist. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be going there again. Their prices were very fair as well. I was very happy with my haircut and will be returning. I highly recommend them
Complexions is amazing. I've been there to get my hair styled, as well as to get massages and I have NEVER been let down. The services rival anything I have ever been able to find in NYC, and the best part is that they are located right in Albany. How could it get more convenient?
Pros: Amazing Service and Quality
I have been visiting Complexions since 2001. I have moved out of Albany for over 5 years now, but I still make the trip to Albany to frequent this Spa. If you are vacationing in the area, I urge you to visit this spa, you will not be sorry!! They recently moved into a new space which is breathtaking!! The services offered rival those found in larger cities and I have found them to be a better quality. I have tried many different treatments, and I have never been let down over the years. I highly reccommend this Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Pros: Relaxing Atmosphere, Well Trained Staff, Excellent Quality and Variety of Services, and VERY VERY CLEAN
Cons: None
Complexions just opened a new spa, and let me tell you it is FABULOUS!!! The lockerooms (ladies) has a steam and sauna room and personal lockers so you pick your code! They bring you to a nice lounge area to relax and the service provider comes for you. I never been to a spa that offered soo many different types of services and have such a knowledgable staff. I had a hot poultice thai massage, this is something I never heard of and it was so relaxing. I also got to bring the poultice home with me! I saw Kimberly who did an amazing job. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in, unlike most spas! If your in the area you better come here!!!
I recently visited Complexions Spa and was very happy with the massage, facial, and haircut I received. It was a very warm, friendly environment. the massage therapist did an excellent job, I loved the heated massage table. Also, the esthetician was very knowledgeable and recommended a few things to help me with my skin. I was also very excited to hear about their new spa that will be opening in May. I am glad that it will be close to where they are now because I found going to Wolf Road to be very convenient.
Pros: loved the friendly staff
Cons: none!
Visited spa for a massage but wasn't too thirlled about the environment. While the massage was nice, there was not much of a sitting area. It was awkward when a work area door would open becuase you could hear way too much information and talking about things clients should not be hearing. The decor was ok, but it didn't seem all that clean. When I used the ladies room you could see hair on the floor that looked like was tracked from the salon....2 weeks earlier. Floors in the hallway seemed worn and not all that attractive. The sinks and toilets looked dirty and I didn't feel comfortable using them. cleanliness was not up to par...especially for the price.
Pros: Parking, concept of decor
Cons: no comfortable seating area, follow through of decor and upkeep
Unique facials & knowledgable massage therapists! Certainly not the same ole' treatments at the other area spas. Very talented stylists and the medi-spa estheticians really know their stuff. This is definitely Albany's best keep secret, however it's been in business for over 20 years and is one of the few CIDESCO Beauty Centre's in the nation. The nicest aspect is the down-to-earth staff that do their best to satisy their customers needs and treat everyone as if they've known them forever. That makes me feel comfortable, not intimated. I can be myself whether I need to relax, relieve sore muscles, resolve skin breakouts or to be waxed in some not-so comfortable places. Finally, everything we need in a place where everyone knows your name!
A day spa should be relaxing and enjoyable, not waiting in an uncomfortable setting, for your name to be called by the snooty esthetician, having to hear all the gossipy chit chat that goes on around you.. So much for trying a new place. Sticking with a real day spa next time- where they dont push products and make you feel old
