Commodore Chocolatier

I will never forget my first taste of white chocolate from the Commodore Sweet Shop. My grandparents lived just a couple of doors away on Broadway and what a treat it was to visit this incredible shop. Thanks for keeping it alive and continued success.

A place like COMMODORE CHOCOLATIERS is what is still GREAT about the City of Newburgh...The Owner took time to show
many kids/parents how candy can still be made by hand in todays HIGH tech. world. Every kids received a FREE Candy Cane.. What a GREAT family, Great PRODUCT.. somethings are worth the extra time....

I love to hear my parents speak of their visits to the Commadore during their courtship days when it was a soda shop. We have moved to SC and miss our favorite chocolate. Whenever we return to the Newburgh area it is always one of the stops on our itinerary.

This chocolate shop is the best! It has been in business since the 1920s and it has remained in the same family throughout. The chocolate is out of this world. The Owners make the chocolate and care for the counters themselves. They are fabulous people and their hard work reflects in the product. The decor of this shop is all original art deco! It is a delight for all the senses! If you are in the area don't miss it! The only regret I have is that they no longer make their homemade ice cream.

not sure what to get someone? stop by the commodore on broadway in Newburgh. they have one of the biggest candy selections in the area, and it's incredible. especially during the holidays, be sure to place your order early, as people will line up. be sure to try the chocolate covered strawberry's, which is what they're known for.
