.

In the middle of one of the most rural counties in upstate, NY, Mario's stands out as my personal favorite among pizza parlors across America.

Being an avid traveler, having visited nearly 40 of the 50 states, plus Canada, England, France and Wales, I have not found another restaurant that can hold a candle to Mario's.

Opposed to the variety of foods offered, their professionalism and quality has never varied.

From pasta dishes, like lasagna and spaghetti, to appetizers like garlic bread and jalapeno poppers, you can find it all here.

You can get a slice of pizza, a round pizza pie, or a sheet pizza (if you have never heard of a sheet pizza, please visit NY state).

For the best tasting subs, try a ham and cheese with everything on it. Not too bready, not too sweet, not too salty, but just the right combination of spicy oil and vinegar and rich cheese.

If you are coming home from a your child's sports game, you will feel completely comfortable dining in a t-shirt and shorts. If you are like us, you will love it enough to even have them reserve some tables for your wedding rehearsal dinner.

You can dine in or take out. But be forewarned, if you order a sheet pizza for pick up, you may find yourself arriving back home with less than a whole sheet left. You have been warned!!!

PROS: Top notch food, quality sit down service, reasonable prices
CONS: Not open Monday's
