I would like to suggest you do not do business with these people.They are incompetent and disorganised.It has gotten worse since Josh is running the show.Go to the Triple -A-Center on Malby street in Massena.It is part of Kinek and you can easily create an account online.It is also much closer to the Canadian border.

@ Dale... If you had a genuine issue with the way that the Ship-it Shop conducts business, then this review would hold a little more weight. What actually transpired that day is not accurately documented in your libel-filled review. You came in early on a Saturday before we had received any of our deliveries for the day. We asked you to return a little later once the deliveries had arrived and we had a chance to sort through some of the packages. Around this time the USPS truck arrived. We asked you to allow the mail courier some space to bring the parcels in and place them at the table to be checked in. To which you replied: "That's rude." You and your significant other left for a brief period of time at which point we began checking in parcels. If I remember correctly it was a rather heavy Saturday and we had received about 80. You returned a short while later with your significant other. He came in and inquired as to whether or not we had come across your parcel yet, to which I replied we had not. I then proceeded to check through the 40 or so parcels we had yet to check in. I told your significant other that your package had not arrived at our shop. He told me that he would return momentarily. When he returned you were accompanying him and you insisted the package had arrived. You had with you a tracking number, which when tracked did show that the parcel had arrived in Massena, NY. I personally looked through the 40 remaining packages a second time. When I explained to you that the parcel may have arrived at the Massena Post Office, but not to our shop yet, you insisted that I was withholding your property and threatened to press charges. I believe at this point I referred you to my boss who is also my Uncle. When you continued your ill informed rant I told you that you were no longer allowed to ship here (which is the actual reason you have not). At no time did I say or even hint that my boss did not care about any of your concerns regarding his employees and the way that business is conducted in his store. We understand that the parcel containing the roller skates for your event that day was extremely important, but nothing would have escalated had you not accused us of withholding your property and threatening us with legal action -- especially after I attempted twice to save you an extra trip across the border by looking through the remaining parcels. I just wanted to clarify this for everyone to see. It's one thing to have a bad experience with an outfit and inform possible customers to be wary. However, it is not acceptable to lie and defame our business because you were frustrated that your parcel had not arrived on time. On a side note we do accept shipments up to 150 lbs. here. We don't accept freight shipments because we don't have a forklift or a loading dock. Please ma'am, the next time you decide to write a review that people may take into consideration when deciding on whether or not to use us, try not to omit so many important details/change the story so it's convenient for the point you are trying to convey.

HORRIBLE customer service. They insisted my parcel wasn't there. I found it myself since it was huge - it was marked under someone else's name. Then later that day, they told us not to bother asking for our parcel shortly after it is delivered because they have too much work to do. Sorry, but it is a hassel and expense to cross the border to pick up a parcel - don't tell me to come back another day because you don't feel like going thru 40 small parcels to find mine. The 17 year olds working there need a reality check. When I questioned if a mistake was made, they went off the wall and said don't come back and don't bother complaining to the owner - he doesn't care - "he's my uncle".

I haven't gone back since. My last few parcels have been sent to Triple A Building Center. Much more professional - and cheaper for larger parcels (Ship-it Shop doesn't accept very-very large parcels). And they're open later in the evening and on Saturday & Sunday!! - thats worth the extra $2 for me!

$2 extra also gets me piece of mind that it will be accepted and held and released to me (ID required) in a professional and courteous manner.

I had some magazines shipped to the Ship-It Shop thinking that I could then pick them up and bring them back to Canada and save about $20 in shipping.

Little did I know the Shop wouldn't call the phone number listed on the envelope containing the magazines. After waiting five weeks, and having already left a phone message at the Shop, I called the store. The man who answered told me they throw magazines away because the store get all sorts of junk mail all the time. He said I should have called. Actually, I did, as mentioned above, only nobody called back.

This is an understandable junk-mail policy. However, it is completely unacceptable that they threw away a package that was obviously marked differently than run-of-the-mill junk mail. They threw away $20 worth of fiction magazines that I wanted to read, without bothering to follow up. In addition, nowhere on the UPS stie, which lists The Ship-It Shop details, does it say that they will throw away magazines if you ship there without talking to someone.

Ship-It Shop? More like S#$t-It Shop. Fill in the expletives however you like. Thumbs down to this business for not coming through, and not really caring at all about a package coming in with the name of a customer, as well as a phone number, on it.

I can't help but agree with the other negative comment written earlier. I have dealt with these guys for the past couple of years. The owner, Rich, has finally made everyone as miserable as he is. They are unorganized and sloppy at best. Everything is OK there until you question their service about a package. They argued with my wife last week about the arrival of a product only because they couldn't find it. Even after UPS confirmed that it had been delivered. It was sitting right under their noses beside the cash! Great customer service for sure. She was so embarrassed. Spend 2 more dollars and go down the road to Triple A building center, better service!

I highly recommend the ship it shop. They are very honest people that work and own the place. I have never left dissatisfied. It is pathetic that the customer who was disappointed couldn't even leave his or her name.

We have been dealing with the Ship-It Shop located in Massena, NY for several years as our drop-off place for orders we have placed with American companies via the Internet. We have consistently been super-impressed with the very excellent quality of the service we have received. We live in Canada and take advantage of the reduced shipping costs associated with vendor charges for shipping within the US versus Cross-border shipping. Not only do we consider the Ship-It Shop's charges to be very reasonable, but we also avoid the heavy expense of custom broker charges by declaring them personally at the border. I can't say enough about the very professional, high quality and friendly service we have always received. I recommend it without hesitation, you won't be disappointed.

It is a very convenient location and every dealing I have had was professional and pleasant. I believe the previous reviewer needs to remember we are all entitled to a bad day once and a while.

My experience in dealing with The ShipIt Shop has always been very professional UNTIL I had the unfortunate experience of dealing directly with the owner - Rich Centrella.

My inquiry to confirm their receipt of 1 of 2 packages, per the UPS Tracking confirmation of delivery, resulted in the questions being repeatedly put back on me, instead of the owner having the knowledge or care to present true customer service and present me with options or do the leg work.

It turned out that all along they did have the package yet their ancient tracking system of marking on a whiteboard, was not updated. Travelling from out of town, made this experience very stressful as the owner challenged me on the day it would have been shipped, insisting it was impossible as UPS or FedEx do not ship on Saturdays. Instead of presenting me with options he repeatedly asked the same question 'what day' to which my answer resulted in an endless loop conversation of 'That's impossible...' all the while on my cell phone, travelling in per the UPS Tracking confirmation I had previously received.

I have never seen such an unprofessional and arrogant attitude from of all people, the owner, Rich Centrella who blatantly said he didn't care if children were present while he confronted me.

The end resulted in Rich Centrella, having all mighty power, refusing to accept any future deliveries from me.... just ??because?? he could... he??s the owner after all!
