I had arthritis of my thumb. The therapist (her name was Nancy) was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The splint she made was very comfortable and, most importantly did wonders for my golf game. I had previously gone to another therapist but didn't get nearly as good results so my doctor said to try south shore hand therapy and I am glad he did.

I disagree greatly with the people below me (Jim and Linda). I had a great experience rehabbing with the therapists at South Shore Hand Therapy. I came in with limited mobility in my left hand due to an accident and now am able to use my left hand like nothing happened. They gave me exercises and splints that allowed me to recover successfully!

I had a similar experience with a deficient splint and therapy. I chose to switch to a practice in Massapequa and am so glad I did. The therapy, professionalism and atmosphere of the practices can not be compared. I can not recommend this practice.

I had problem with fingers, and the therapists at South Shore Hand Therapy helped greatly. They were courteous, helpful, professional, friendly, prompt, and responsive to my needs. It's hard to believe the writer of the other review went to the same place. I would recommend this therapy office very highly and unequivocally.

I was sent to South Shore Hand Therapy to have custom made splints. The splints were poorly made and broke within weeks. The orthopedist who had referred me to this practice said the braces were "clearly deficient" and he did mention that he would take this into account in terms of future referrals to her.I returned
to this provider to have new splints made only because my insurance company would not reimburse a new provider.
When I returned to the therapist to have the splints re-made, she placed the blame on the material of which they were constructed., and on myself, as opposed to her own workmanship.
She did not allow me to ask questions that were important, and dealing with her was most unpleasant.
My medical needs were not properly addressed, and this, coupled with the surprisingly unprofessional and nasty attitude of the owner/occupational therapist made this an extremely negative experience.
I would strongly advise against using this provider.
