I want to thank Jerome for correctly diagnosing and solving a problem with my Saab. Two other mechanics were unable to get it right and after listening to my experience, he was able to retime my timing belt and have my car running smoothly.

My entire experience at Ludlow was exemplary. After the repair, Jerome walked me through the work that was done and what was done incorrectly in the past. He even printed diagrams to illustrate the work that was completed.

After a couple of aggravating months with another mechanic and a Saab dealer, this was a welcome surprise.

I have so many positive things to say about my experience with Ludlow Garage I could write a book about it. After having my intelligence insulted at a Mobil service station where the idiot manager there told me it would be over a thousand dollars for repairs I knew I didn't need or he wouldn't pass my car for the state inspection, I immediately took my car to Ludlow Garage. Jerome did my inspection and passed my car within an hour. So when I got into an accident, I knew Ludlow was the only place to go. The tow truck driver, Ron, was so kind and helpful. I especially needed this after going through a tramatic experience. Ludlow is the best. They fixed my car at a fair price and finished the job ahead of deadline.

I was happy with this place. I usually bring my car in back home but it needed some immediate repairs. They told me everything involved and explained the problem to me. I did pay more than I wanted, but car repairs are overall expensive these days.

One of the best repair places in downtown ny! Fair prices (for nyc) good turn around and great communication. The shop is ALWAYS busy, but I have always had same day service. Would highly recommend.

I went to Ludlow Garage for a brake job and my experience was overall very positive. They took my car right away and had it examined. They told me what the problem was. They showed me what the problem was. They explained what needed to be done. They gave me an estimate with a complete breakdown for each part and labor, which was a very reasonable amount. I took the can in at 10:30am and they estimated to have it ready around 12:00 (I finished at about 12:30, still pretty good by car repair standards). They charged exactly what they said. The manager Jerome was a very polite and reliable fellow. Plus they accept all major credit cards and they are open on Saturday.

I recommend them as a peace of mind haven in the car repair jungle. They are worth a trip to the LES.

Ludlow Garage was recommended to me by a competing garage!

I needed bodywork after being rear ended and was surprised not only by the estimate (which was honored) but by the frank explanation of the estimate and of the work that would be done.

Yes the garage is busy, the waiting area is clean and the restroom is not only clean but handicap accessible.
Since my initial visit I've gone back 2 times to the continued QUALITY of service and FAIR cost.

Ladies, if you?re tired of going to a garage where you may have been treated in a condescending manner, save your money and get good solid service over at Ludlow Garage.

The job that was done on my car was good, except it took forver to get done. Maybe they should hire enough workers to get the job done on time. Too many jobs too little workers.

Ludlow is the best Garage ever!!!! They are all very honest and u can count on them always. Both bosses are great, Mario and Jerome. Another great worker is Stefan, he is very honest and helpful. They all really care about their customers and from all the other places I've taken my car to, they are soooooo reasonable. I don't mind waiting for my car because I know it is in good hands. I don't agree with the person above where he/she said that the job was undone. People need to be patient and can't expect things their way only. Things go wrong with cars, especially for those that wait to long then find out there is something wrong with it. You have to keep up with your car. Ludlow is the hospital for cars. I've been going there for 8 years.

I was sent to Jerome by a friend of a friend who raved about him. And since then I have sent the news on. They are excellent mechanics who want to fix your car and keep you satisfied with as little hassle and as little money as possible. This doesn't mean that they can fix every single problem on the first try, sometimes it takes a second look to solve a problem. But, Jerome will always stand by his work and try again if necessary. When a cold engine problem turned up again, he towed my garage back in at his own expense, charged me only for parts (not labor) and had it running in no time. I highly recommend using this garage.

Had a job done on my car and after the job was done, it fail to start. The car went back and forth to this garage four times. The response time for pick up was half hour like they said. I only went to this garage to get a cylinder head change and other problem are happening after the job was done. Since the job was done in Febuary 23, 2006 my car stalls when you turn it on in the morning. No recomendations, not a happy customer.

I'm not one to post reviews but Jerome and his staff are so exceptionally wonderful that I want people to know how good their business is. There are always professional, fair/honest, and courteous. I never feel like I am being taken and I appreciate that they take the time to explain to me what is wrong with my car. The only draw back is that sometimes, especially in the morning, they are busy with everyone dropping off their cars at once.

Jerome and his staff at Ludlow garage are honest, reliable and know what they're doing. While the location is difficult (busy attorney street) and the garage is extremely busy, this is the place to get the straight story and great service. I find the prices fair, especially because you never feel ripped off. Ludlow lets you know what something will cost and sticks to the estimate. I've been going here for years...the only bad thing about recommending them is letting the cat out of the bag. Best mechanic in NYC.

Ludlow Garage is a good mechanic shop for any problems you might have with your car. The only problem with them is that they can get very busy and it might take a while before you can get your car back. The gargage is always clean and they take very good care of your car.

I had a small accident with my car and they guys took my old fender off and repaired it with new paint so that it looks like new. I couldn't tell the difference between the old one and the new one. the prices they charged were a little cheaper than the other more shady places, so I'd definitely entrust my car with these guys. Over all I'm a satisfied customer.

They're not the cheapest garage around and they are always extremely busy but they have good equipment, a nice clean garage, more than one qualified mechanics, and they take care of your car like it's their own.

They've been able to fix my vintage mercedes and they also service my old subaru wonderfully.

The service was excellent. They were fast, friendly & thorough. It was a great experience overall.

PROS: clean, courteous, knowledgeable
CONS: manhattan prices
