I usually get my trims from local salons which " expedite " their customers. I decided to try somewhere else and I found this place. I have no regrets what so ever coming to this wonderful salon. The waiting room has this comfortable couch, candy, and a selection of magazines. I didn't wait long enough to even read one of those magazines before my stylist came to greet me. I was given a robe and then sat down to discuss the specifics of what I wanted to have done. I managed to lose my stylist's card ( arghhhh ), other wise I'd recommend her to everyone. She has short white hair and and is extremely knowledgeable in hair care. Oh yea, they also cover you with this blanket when they ( the stylists ) wash your hair. I did not do high lights so I don't know about the service in that. Though I wanted to only trim two inches, it still took a while. I meant that in a good way as to all the effort and care to making my style to look fantastic ( also to correct some mistakes from my previous trim arghhhh).

I would have to say that the best color I have ever gotten in the CIty was at Hiro Haraguchi by this amazing man - "Zane". I am not a "true" blond - but really, who is??? And I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on a regular basis about my color. He really is a genius and I would HIGHLY recommend him!

I think Micheal Murphy is the best colorist in all of new york. I think he is the kind of red heads and I have never had such lucious locks until I met him. What skill and talent and totally professional. A real class act. Expensive but worth every dime. Thanks Michael Murphy. I hear you are now in the NAO salon and spa on 58th st and Madison ave. I'll follow you anywhere.....

They are probably the best place to go if you have straight hair that won't take a curl. They can give you a really nice perm that won't have you looking like little orphan Annie. The place is very spacious with a lot of light and really nice round mirrors. But like any place else in Manhattan it costs a lot of money to look pretty.

My girlfriend just came from Chicago and was very impressed with hairstylist and colorist's technique. Everyone was friendly and was surprised to see that there wase no showcase for products, which meant no pushy products sales. She truly enjoyed her stay there.
