Don't shop here! The staff is rude!!! There are plenty of other Judaica stores that appreciate customer's business.

Yussel's is the best source of all things Judaica on Long Island. Gift items are very well selected (nothing cheesy!) and it has an amazing selection of books. Debbie and Michael are really helpful and informative. I just got married and they helped us with all our Jewish wedding needs -- from ketubah to kippah! Couldn't have been happier with the service.

We shopped Yussel's Place for both of our kid's wedding items. Their ketubah collections are huge and the expertise in processing them is meticulous and superb. We ordered benchers & suede kippot, purchased a Gabrielli tallit and a stunning sterling kiddish cup as well. Their variety in all of the above is the best on Long Island. Debbie & Michael are patient and knowledgeable. This store has it all!!

I chose to go to Yussel's Place because I heard wonderful things about it and needed to buy a tallis for my son. I was reluctant to shop here reading one of the reviews but the store is local and I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did. They could not have been nicer to us. My son found the tallis he wanted. They even held it for a few days so my husband's parents could come in and buy it for him. They took a picture of my son trying on the tallis and put it on their website. What a wonderful touch. I am soooo glad I gave them a try.

Bought my mom a birthday present. They had what I was looking for. Surprise, when I pulled out a credit, the response was "glad you found something and you were able to use it." Customer service is top.

Don't know what a previous reviewer experienced (everyone has bad days) but my experience at this store was positive. I was greeted warmly and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I needed a gift for someone in the hospital and they were sensitive to my needs. I left the store with the perfect little something; felt better and appreciated everything. They even giftwrapped it. Thank you Yussel's Place.

My fiancee and I went to Yussel's Place on the recommendation of friends who got their ketubah there. We were not disappointed. I'm not sure what happened to another reviewer, but they were wonderful including Debra who found us the perfect one and helped with ordering kippahs too. The store had alot of samples and even volunteered to order others if they did not have it in stock.

Great store to buy Judaic products. Not too many around so I appreciate that they're not too far away. Bought matzha's here. Also great to shop for holiday items, decorations, books. Prices are high, but think it might be compatible to other stores of this nature.

My fiance and I went into this store because we had received a gift certificate. The owner, Debra, was working the register and she was rude to us from the minute she realized we were using a gift certificate. We showed her the certificate and told her we were looking to spend that amount. We asked to see some matzah covers and kippot. She seemed very put out at having to walk to the back of the store to get the matzah covers. I told her we could go back there ourselves to look but she said nope, she would bring some over in our price range - and she said it in a nasty tone. She brought 2 out and said for what we were looking to spend those we our only options. She was also put out when I said I wanted to browse through the kippot myself. I'm not sure why, but is is fairly common for a customer to want to look through the merchandise themselves! To top it all off, my fiance was looking through the books and Debra walked by him and said "You're done." Not knowing what she meant, he said "Excuse me?" To which she replied "You're done." To this day we have no idea what that was about. We did see the other owner, Michael, at the back of the store and he was very friendly. It's too bad that Debra is allowed to wait on customers as she is rude and nasty. There is no good reason to treat customers the way Debra did. In any case, we used the gift certificate and left the store. We will never go back.
If you are thinking of buying somebody a gift certificate to use at this place, don't do it! It is highly unlikely that they will have a good experience when they go to use it.

My sister is getting married and i wanted to buy her and my future brother-in-law a Jewish marriage contract-Ketubah for their engagement. I was really impressed with the selection of artists and designs they carry. Unlike other stores I looked at, they have a large selection of samples to look at. When I chose a style, they were very careful that all the information was correct and that their rabbi would accept the text. I highly recommend this store if you are looking for a Ketubah. Check them out first and save yourself a hassle of not being satisfied at other places.

I needed to buy a gift to take to my future husband's family and I did not know what to buy. There were so many beautiful gifts to choose from and the person that helped me was terrific. I left the store with a wonderful present that was so well received by my fiance's family. It was a wonderful shopping experience. I will be back to buy my ketubah and kippahs there. Thanks Yussel's Place.

Yussels place sells jewish art and gifts, along with anything else that you can possibly think that is jewish.
They have baby gifts, bar and bat mitzvah sets, wedding gifts, jewelry, ketubot and fine art. They accept all major credit cards. Yussels place is open 6 days a week and they close early on Friday afternoon for Shabbat. The store is open late on Thursday evening. They have a nice selection of jewish cd's.
