This store is not as well stocked as some of the other Best Buys in NYC. The selection is a bit smaller and at times, it can be hard to find the things you want to purchase. It does have good sales regularly though, so it balances out.

PROS: Good sales
CONS: Long lines

my complaint was that i went to best buy in march and bought a scanner, a new one i can't remember the brand, it was onsale. anyways it was onsale with a 30.00 rebate back in the mail. so i paid for just the normal warrenties and i went home with my newest scanner. after getting it home, i hooking it up well, it worked great, there was terriffic resolutions and it communicated with my computer very nicely, except when i tried to access the internet while the scanner was hooked up, it would dial on but i was cut off after about 25 seconds and a box would appear and state there is a modem confliction. so i tried and tried over and over again to try and make the scanner work online, and nothing would work. then after i called the scanners headquarters about 3 or 4 times to try and help fix my problem, well the tech. said you need to contact your internet provider, so i did and then my provider stated you need to contact the vendor, so i did what they said and then i called back to the techs and they stated contact the place you picked this item up at, because it sounds more of a computer problem and since its under warrenty i called the compaq center who makes this computer, then the tech. there stated you have to contact best buy where you got it. i got a hold of tech. support there at best buy and talked to a service person, and he said oh yeah we can fix the problem just bring in your computer and we will route another port into your system and it should take a short time, and cost only 19.00 to do so, well i was a bit upset in why did i not get told this before i bought the item. anyways i broke down my system and got ready to take it out and get it fixed, then i called again and talked to another tech. he said the same thing but raised the price of fixing the computer from 19.00 to nearly 50.00, i told the tech. but i was quoted 19.00 by someone else and he laughed and said no way can that be.

Best Buy in Chelsea

I would recommend this location only when you choose an item online for pick up, or call the store to have the item waiting for you. This is a very hard store to browse, as the selection is quite disorganized and crowded. However, I have always had good luck with the in-store pick-up. The staff there is rather nice and helpful, and the lines move quickly.
