Fay Da is a typical Chinese owned and run bakery in Flushing, NY. You can find baked and other treats such as egg custard tarts (so good but so bad for you), dried/roast pork buns, ham and egg sandwiches, cream coconut buns, hot dog bun, cheese stick, curry beef puff, steamed buns, lemon rolls, and much much more. The mousse cakes are very pretty. Chinese cake is spongy and light. For a refreshing drink, try a bubble (pearl) tea which is typically black or green flavored teas with big tapioca balls that you suck up with a giant straw. The employees at Fay Da may not speak English that well, but you can usually get your point across. Prices are very inexpensive. There are several locations in Queens (Elmhurst/Flushing) and Chinatown. Check out their website at http://www.fayda.com/ Their website provides great descriptions of the food items.
