I walked into Deli Plus in the Port Authority Bus Termninal and asked to BUY a packet or two of mustard. I was summarily told that if I was not there to buy anything then I should please leave. They could not help me. When I said I was willing to BUY the mustard and that I was not looking for any handouts, all of the employees siply walked away. If they had offered the slightest modicum of customer service I could have become a fairly regular customer. I come throught the termin al twice a day every day. Now I will never set foot in their establishment again. (I wanted to give zero stars.)

Its a quick food joint, overpriced, not very delicious, but when you need something fast its there for you. If you've got more than 5 minutes, though, look elsewhere.

Pros: Right by the Port Authority

Cons: Pretty much everything else

.

The manager attempted to charge extra prices for my order, refusing to show a proper receipt for our order and claiming that the prices on the menu were outdated. He was very arrogant and never apologized for his actions. I ended up canceling the entire order after an argument. I would have called the police to close this place down, if I were not in a hurry. I do not recommend visiting this place.

Deli Plus is on the lower level of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan - right across from the NJ transit ticket windows and a famous George Segal sculpture.

It??s a big open, well-lit, cafeteria-style space with food counters along two walls and lots of private tables. I??ve always found the staff friendly, accommodating and efficient. The prices are reasonable.

There are lots of selections of good, hearty food for breakfast with baked goods as well as eggs, pancakes etc. I was impressed to have a variety of breakfast meats (2-3 bacons, 3-4 sausage types) to choose from.

For lunch or dinner you might find anything from stuffed peppers to roast beef, fried chicken or pork fried rice? there are usually about seven entree selections including a daily special to choose from. There are also pre-prepared wraps (I??ve enjoyed a buffalo chicken wrap), sandwiches, salads or they will make you a delicious custom sandwich. Along with juices, waters and sodas, there are barrels of ice with different beer selections.

I??ve never had trouble finding a table for myself. There??s room for luggage next to your table too. It??s a prime location for reading, but take advantage of the giant plate glass windows that front the deli for some prime Big Apple people-watching! Port Authority is cleaner, safer and more convenient than ever. Clean bathrooms are on both levels.

Deli Plus: clean, friendly and delicious? missed your bus?.... relax, nosh and people-watch while you wait for the next one.
