Worst of the worst  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

TOPDJGEAR is a perfect scam, they do not ship the products but yea they charge extremely quick your bank account. Upon asking for a refund they refuse. Be extremely careful giving your money to this place, you won't see it again. BE AWARE many people have being scammed.
As per today Marc Shmueli and Topdjgear has no current address or telephone number, so this way you can not reach them, this tells you that TDG is a scam. I sent all the copies from my payments to claims@topdjgear.com and no money back. To all potential buyers do not send any money to this people their web site is a fake. I am just another scammed victim.

No Refund  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I made an order on April 2,2007 and today I am still waiting to get my money back from topdjgear. On january 2008 Marc Shmueli gave me his word he will send my complete refund and has far as today his words are worthles no refund only empty excuses. Do not trust topdjgear and mr Shmueli he will take your money and will not send your product. Topdjger is a complete fraud and a perfect scam. Do not fall in the trap of giving your money to this people.

Wow! I received great service from them..  5 Star Rating - World class

I placed an order with topdjgear about a week ago. i just received it today. i couldnt find their phone number so i googled them online and found this review page. they have been quite helpful and even spoke with marc regarding the order. i agree they should have a better way to contact them but i just sent them an email directly and received an answer the same day.

The website makes Top DJ Gear look like a leader in online DJ gear, but that's all it is. A facade for what can only barely be called a business.

This is the worst service I have received from a company in my life.

I ordered 2 needles and some cleaning supplies from their website. 2 weeks later my card wasn't even charged for the purchase.My 1st Email was responded to by Marc and was a very short and generic letter to say he was looking in to it. 2 weeks passed. I sent another Email, trying to get some answers. No response for another week. At that time, I had informed "Marc" that I was no longer interested in purchasing the products I had not received, and since there was still no charge on my CC to date, I would just be taking my business elsewhere. There was no reply from anyone.

3 weeks after that Email was sent, I received a package in the mail from them. Surprise! it was the order I had cancelled and declared that I no longer wanted. I informed him that I had, indeed, taken my business elsewhere, was satisfied with the new business I sought out, that I was returning the product asap, and that I expected to be credited the amount owing. I mailed the package back to them before the new year.

That was over a month ago. Since then there has been no reply, and no credit made despite them recieving the returned goods in the 1st week of January this year. Attempts to call them have been met with problem after problem and it has become a little more than a simple inconvenience.

I have now decided after reading this thread as well as reviews on other sites that I am going to take action beyond just notifying my CC company of a charge dispute. I am posting here, and on every other site that will let me write a review as well as filing with the BBB about this fiasco.

If I can offer any advice, it would be to simply take your money elsewhere. These people don't care about you, or their reputation. There are other places on-line that you can get the respect, service, and products you want.

Its been a good experience so far. In my own opinion not bad. Had some problem with shipping but was resolved.Would be nice to have a better costumer service.

Waiting for Marc's answer  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Yesterday, a few hours after I posted on this blogg I received an email from Marc saying he would refund me in on week.
So, I really want to believe that he either really dind't get my order or maybe had a major problem in his logistics.

I'll be waiting for his answer, and If everything goes right I'll be the first one to write a review apologizing for the "misunderstanding".

UPDATE: I received my order. The bottom line is that I sent too many emails asking for information about my order to count. Response to emails sent to support@topdjgear.com was ZERO. Only after I posted this negative feedback and reported the charge to my bank as fradulent did I hear from this Marc character.

It's unfortunate that Top DJ Gear couldn't have been more forthcoming in giving me information about my purchase or even respond in a reasonable amount of time to my requests.

What a load of crap. I sent emails to this company every day since 12/19/2007. Including 2 today. I have not been contacted by anyone from this company regarding my complaint.

This was a Christmas gift for my son. The only thing he asked for and he had nothing to open on Christmas morning.

It easy enough to report this fraudulant credit card theft with my bank, but it's almost unbelievable that this company can only respond to my complaint through this forum.

I finally received my order today, however I would not purchase from this website or recommend to others.

This is purely based on lack of communication during the entire buying process.

Marc seemed more concerned with the negative review and chargeback rather than contacting me promptly with the information I needed.

I have had great experiences shopping with this company!  5 Star Rating - World class

I have been shopping with these guys for over 5 years and always had a great experience. I have always received my items in 2 or 3 days (guess it helps to be in the west coast) and I have compared their prices to everyone else's on the web and they were always the cheapest. Never had to deal with customer service issues.

The customer below, Noelle R. placed their order on the evening of December 17, 2007. The order shipped the morning of December 18,2007. The customer was confused and ordered the package via Ground shipping not 2nd day air as she claimed. The package shipped from NY to California which usually takes 5 days via ground. Due to the holidays it is out to be delivered today. The customer received a tracking number verbally over the phone today and just tracked it herself. I dont think she could dispute the validity of this information.

Noelle..what is your order number? I am sure your order was not charged and did not shipped. It is our policy to only authorize a card and then charge it upon shipment. I doubt your order did not ship if your card was charged. We do not have any record of an email from you. Please contact us at support@topdjgear.com

For those of you who have made purchases with credit cards such as American Express and Mastercard. Contact your bank ASAP and file a complaint, let them handle it like a fraud.

Hopefully the site will be shut down soon.

Never received my credit and they won't answer my emails  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

SCAM****This company is really ridiculous. I ordered a mixer last year and of course it was not the one my husband wanted. I got an RA# and returned it, they emailed me and hit me with a 20% restock fee and said I have a credit on file with them and can use it any time. I have tried calling them with the old numbers from the emails that they sent me and they are disconnected. They REFUSE TO ANSWER MY EMAILS. I have been emailing for months. All I wanted to do is order something else for this Christmas and pay the difference. I have copies of everything, order #, RA# and an email of how much my credit is. They really need to do the honorable thing and get the product out or issue credit. What kind of company has no phone number to contact them. They have a cute little picture of a "Customer Service Lady" that would make you think they are ready to help you but this is a SCAM.... They will take your money and run.

Got Taken to by top DJ gears  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I bought some speakers, a mixer and some cables about 400$. All I received was the mixer. I called and actually talked to Mark a few times and everything was supposed to be shipped. But it was this far just a waist of time. So I did like every body else and filled a complain with the Better Business Bureau (www.us.bbb.org). Hopefully I get something out of it?

This site is a Scam. They do not even contact the vendor to ship out your product, they do not have any product and you will never get any products- the owner of the Site (marc) pockets the money until you complain enough (typically for months), then he will send you a refund once he gets more orders. It is a pyramid scam.

Marc has been sued before. He is being sued now and he will be sued again. DO NOT ORDER FROM TOPDJGEAR.com. Warn everyone you know. If you are a DJ then tell your friends. Tell anyone who might even think of ordering from here- it is a scam.

This past summer, a company that was processing our credit card transactions had put a hold on our account and did not provide us with the funds that were due to us. Those funds were needed to fulfill orders that were placed and to provide refunds to certain customers. The situation was created as a result of a higher than usual amount of disputes initiated by a number of customers. The reason why this had occurred was that a disgruntled ex-employee who was terminated had accessed our customer database and sent customers emails that they would not receive their products and/or refunds that were due to them. In addition, a number of our competitors took advantage of the situation by posing as customers and added fuel to the fire by contributing to a number of blogs and message boards on the Internet. Some were even bold enough to suggest to our customers that they should shop at their company instead and provided their web site’s URL. They WILL steal your money. You will not get it back. Marc will lie to you over and over and over. He is getting sued by Many people as i post this. Topdjgear WILL be out of business very soon. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY YOU WILL NOT GET IT BACK.

How many bad reviews do you need to read in order to avoid this company? How many stories about people being charged for orders that don't ship (which is ILLEGAL to do) in months have you heard?

Yet, the owner has the audacity to say that 99% of the problems have been fixed?! How can you believe someone that has lied to his loyal customers over and over again!? How can you trust someone that posts desperate reviews of his own company and does not bother to spell check?

If you been ripped off by this company, contact the authorities and get your money back.

Spread the word.

Make sure other people don't fall for the same trap.

i wish there was an option to rate this company no stars...

i ordered 4 styli from topdjgear six months ago (03/14) and they still haven't fulfilled the order. despite countless e-mails, phone calls they don't answer, etc. they still have my money and the 2 outstanding styli from the original order.

the 2 e-mails i have received blame staff changes and mix-ups in shipping - SIX MONTHS....! and they STILL can't send me what i've paid for!

i am complaining to the better business bureau and contacting every single website that does business them i am so utterly dismayed that a company can ignore & treat a customer in such a manner.

good luck doing business with topdjgear! i'm now buying everything from DJDeals.com - and i've had nothing but a pleasant buying experience from them.

i suggest you do the same if you're in the market for dj-related purchases.

of course i could be very unlucky, but then of course, they could easily have sent me what i paid for...they've had six months!

...i like the 'e-mail this review to this business' button. that's a joke! they don't answer their customers' emails, fulfill orders, or return this customer's money...

TopDJGear Steals Your Money  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I'm a DJ from Baltimore, MD.

I ordered a CDJ from TopDJ in March. After multiple emails stating that the item had shipped, I was greeted with an email saying that the item was backlogged. Again, more email updates with bullsh!t excuses. I was told that storms in the mid-west delayed my shipment. I was told that the manufacturer was behind schedule. I was lied to again and again.

In August I made contact by phone and was told that they were under new management and that I should send a request by email for a refund. Last week I emailed for an update and this was the response I got:

My last resort is to place a claim with my credit card. I hate to do this, b/c credit fraud costs EVERYONE.

Liars! Do not order!!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I placed an order at the beginning of June. I have called several times to get status of my order, obtain my tracking number, shipment date etc. Of course they do not have any information of your request (like most orders they give you an estimate date, not TDJ). It has been over a month, I still have not received my order! Cust.service is awful and difficult to get a hold of. When you write an email, the emails are short, vague & they do not have any manners stating that they are sorry for this inconvenience. They also do not update you on your order and that is when you start to suspecting FRAUD. They are obviously good at lying and ripping people off. I wish I had found out about this site sooner otherwise this could of been prevented. If you look at the positive comments, they are more of a sales pitch, not a real person. Myself and like others who have been ripped off!!! We are the real people speaking!!!! Please do not use these people!!! and don't ever really trust internet buy.Scams are everywhere!!!

My nana bought a gift from Top DJ Gear, the item was on backorder, and after a long wait we canceled the order printed out the confirmation. The money was still withdrawn from my Nana's account despite the fact that the item was never received and consequently canceled! Four months later my 77 year old grandmother is still out of all her money. Ripping off the elderly is the lowest!

In January, I ordered about $500 worth of equipment from topdjgear.com. Soon after, I received an email saying that one of the items I ordered was out of stock and asking whether I wanted to wait for it to arrive or order a different item. I wasn't really in any rush, so I replied that I would wait for it to come in.

About six weeks later (which was more than a month longer than the customer service rep said that I would have to wait), I got an email saying that my order had shipped. I got a package with one of the items I ordered in the mail, and expected to received the remainder of my order to arrive soon. It's now June, and despite my incessant attempts to contact someone from Top DJ Gear (by phone, email, customer service forms on their website, etc.), no one has refunded my money or shipped my order. No one will even pick up the phone or respond to me at all.

I even emailed Marc Schmueli, the president of the company who left "reviews" on a number of different sites, spouting lies about how "rock solid" the company is. He emailed me back the next day promising that he would personally ensure that my account was taken care of immediately. He said to let him know if I wasn't contacted by a customer service rep within 24 hours.

Well, guess what. A day went by and, much to my surprise, no one contacted me. I emailed Marc again to let him know, and haven't heard from either him or anyone else from Top DJ Gear since.

Don't buy from this place, I can't stress that enough. Top DJ Gear is a con operation posing as a legitimate business. It's disgusting to me that the president of the company can go on every review site, vouch for the business, and make false promises when he knows full well that all the negative reviews are true.

If I could give them a negative number of stars I would.

PLEASE believe me, I don't think i'll ever get my money back, and from the looks of things it's how they make their money thousands of dollars a day just stolen from hard working people.

Customer Service is ok when inquiring or placing the order. Once placed and the money is spent, you're pretty much left under there discretion. I placed an order In early febuary 2007 and in May 2007 never received it. I was given the same excuse over and over. Even told the product I ordered wasn't released yet. Any smart consumer researches the product before placing the order. Just like the signs on all roller-coaster......You take this ride at your own risk, in this case....your FINANCIAL RISK!!!
I cancelled the order and now await a refund, hopefully it will come soon. But if this company has this many problems, they just need to hit the drawing board again to gain or keep there customers.

Don't even think about buying here  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Here is why you should never buy anything here:
1) Misleading - advertises free shipping, then charges you without giving you an opportunity to opt out (You click "next" expecting to be provided with shipping options but instead, the order is placed with an exorbitant shipping charge!)
2) No updatde - Status of your order never updated on the website. You are completely in the dark.
3) Your credit card is charged immediately. This is the one thing they know how to do fast.
4). Empty promises - Their website says they will respond to your email enquiries within 24 hours. They have never responded to any of mine. As I write, my first email enquiry is more than three weeks old, still no word.
5. Poor phone support: You call n times before anyone picks up the phone. Then they put you on hold till you give up.
6. LIES, LIES, LIES: This is the worst. I managed to get through on phone three times. Each time, they told me the order had shipped and they would email me the tracking number. The order never arrived - nor did the tracking number.

I am writing this more than a month since I placed my order and my credit card was charged. This is the worst experience I have had since I started shopping online more than 10 years ago.

I placed a 2100.00 order online with these guys. They quoted me a price on line, they promise guaranteed service, prompted shipping next day, etc. After I placed my order, my account was drafted pretty quick. I send emails via their web-site for days asking the status, i received no responses. I tried calling their customer service number....good luck with this!! No one is hardly ever answering the phone. Finally after 5 days of placing my order I finally get some one to answer the phone, I still have not received any responses from my many emails. They tell me over the phone that nothing has been done with my order and that they needed to charge me another 500.00 because they quoted me wrong.....take it or leave it!! At this point I had no choice, because I had a show coming up which I needed the equipment for, already lost 5 days, I told them this and they promised me they would ship it that day and send me the tracking info. Days went by and I received no confirmation of shipping, sent many more emails, even tried calling again.......still no reply's or answers. Finally I got some one on the phone and they told me everything was shipped, days went by.....the pony express was quicker than this. Still no tracking info, tried emailing again, calling....days later I get some one on the phone (after 10 calls, 7 email) they tell me my order was shipped yesterday, 5 days after they told me it was already shipped! The manager even promised my my gear would be at my location by a certain date, after I explained to him about my show. Still to this day after 25 days of the original order I have not received my order. If this business is trying to support the entertainment industry then they have nobody's interest in mind other than their own.

Try other business's first, my opinion is try calling the customer service line before using an on-line store.

I ordered USB turntable in December 2006, 2 days after placing my order $169.95 was yanked from my account. A few days later I received an email telling me this product was in high demand and i was put on a waiting list. I gave them until mid January to ship it, nothing happened. I called them and they said, "Well, according to this list yours should ship out sometime this week, I'll e-mail you a tracking code." I fought them until mid February and then demanded a refund he told me that it had already shipped out, but to the wrong address. I asked him for a tracking code to prove that it shipped out, he said that's not possible. I asked him if i could speak to the manager, he said i'll transfer you, he HUNG UP. I called back many times and finally got a guy that claimed he was the manager. I said i wanted a refund and he said ok i'll send it to the accounting department and you should have it in about 5 days. it's been 3WEEKS, NO REFUND!!!!!!! I AM FILING A COMPLAINT BBB

Consider carefully before buying  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I was billed twice, and the order was never shipped, and they first refused to give me a refund, and ultimately stopped answering emails alltogether. They do not answer their phone either.

I have now finally recieved a refund after about 2.5 months.

PROS: Seem to have a lot of items, but make sure they are in stock
CONS: Poor customer service

Good In-Stock  5 Star Rating - World class

I needed to purchase specific fuse caps for my ASHLY amplifier and this was the place. They had all the professional brands and I was impressed. My three thousand dollar professional amp was in their hands. They helped me find my fuse in the back room really quickly. It was cheap to. I was in and out in about twenty minutes thanks to the friendly sales rep. It was a terrific experience and will do business with them again if I ever need anything.
