Sales person in the window treatments department was rude. After placing my order over the phone (only because of convenience), I asked if my receipt could be faxed, emailed or sent to me in the mail and she game me an attitidue and told me that she would have to pay for the stamp out of her own pocket (she did end up mailing it to me though). I then received a letter in the mail several weeks later asking me to call her as she tried to reach me and I had not returned her call. Clearly she lost my phone number because I never received a message from them. She told me that my doorman didn't accept the delivery and in turn the blinds were damaged in the mail and had to be reordered. I have lived in my DOORMAN building for over 8 years and they have never turned down a package delivery. Needless to say, the blinds arrived over 3 months later and when scheduling installation I was told that I could not get a Saturday date because the same person who measured had to install and mine doesn't work on Saturdays. I specifically asked the sales person when I placed the order if they do Saturday installation and she said yes. In the end, they accommodated me but only after I put up a fuss. I would never go back. And I don't recommend their services.

            Pros: Nice, friendly installation man

The worst service ever... over the past 20 years. I avoid this store unless I absolutely have to go in. And since it's almost the only game in my neighborhood, I did just that. I asked for a product that the "salesman" wasn't familiar with... I explained that I was looking for a glaze that could be tinted and put over concrete. He first looked at me like I had two heads, then insisted I tell him what I wanted, by name. He became increasingly annoyed with me when I explained that I couldn't, since that's why I was there... to be HELPED (Hello!). I was finally helped out by a customer who directed me to Home Depot, along with the name of the product. This is not the first time I have been given attitude by their employees. (Forget about trying to buy blinds from them.. the last time I tried that, I walked out after ten minutes of being ignored by the salesperson). Time after time, I have found their "service" to be condescending and nasty. It appears that nobody likes working there and that the customers are always wrong. Who needs it. I would rather try Beacon Paint or make the trip to 23rd street to the Home Depot. Which is exactly what I intend to do. The neighborhood stores can barely stay alive these days. Alienating your customers is a sure fire way to lose them. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Cons: Unfriendly, bad service, major attitude, unhappy sales people,

We ordered our roman shades through Janovic and we will never use them again. Our sales rep only works three days a week and they are not very knowledgable at all on their products. A month after they've been installed, the blinds are not straight so still waiting for the second time to come and fix them and they are expensive. Once we placed our order and gave the money, they are very diffcult to deal with. On the installation date, they were late for three hours and when I called customer service they couldn't get a hold of them.
