    Gm, Tim Lundberg, of Amherst store, is a moron! BOYCOTT BEST BUY but if you are going to shop there DON'T SHOP AT AMHERST STORE! Went to this Best Buy location to get customer support for online purchase I made. Talked to general manager, Tim Lundberg (first of all, ew). Wow. What a waste of time. He had an attitude the entire time I was voicing my disappointment with the customer service I received at his store. I barely received a luke warm apology. How did this guy get this gig?! Best Buy, what are you doing having this guy represent your brand? Apparently I am not alone...there are SO many bad reviews about this store and their customer service. You would think Best Buy would do something about it by now. BTW after 5 hours on the phone (not exaggerating), 2 hours of driving, $10 in gas, and 2 hours in their store me, myself, and I straightened out my order issue. Thanks for not doing your job, Tim Lundberg. Maybe he will realize that my $450 purchase PAYS HIS SALARY! I am NEVER giving Best Buy my money again!

    Bought my computer three months ago at this store, began seeing strange lines in the picture upon resuming...took it in only to have the stone-faced geek squad guy tell me that they could keep it for two or three days to run a diagnostics, but that if it was a software problem then I would have to contact Microsoft...Let me get this straight, I said...I just spent $1,000 on a computer and you're telling me that I'll have to spend more money to correct a problem on a brand new computer? The response was uncaring and arrogant...and wrong, as it turns out. The stone face didn't move a muscle...i left with high blood pressure. Had to go to the Galleria Mall, found the Best Buy there and went in just for the heck of it...found polite, sympathetic people there. Omir did the diagnostics for me in less than 24 hours, assured me that it is not a software problem and gave me some alternatives to deal with the problem...If you have a problem, go to the Geek Squad at Best Buy in the Galleria Mall and be treated like an intelligent human being by nice people.

    This is your typical best buy store, so it has all the problems that comes with a best buy store. Its nice if you don't have any problems but don't expect to get any service if you have problems, and if you buy a warranty there expect that they will find some kind of loophole so they don't have to honor it (same with service contracts).

    If you are shopping for electronics you REALLY should be shopping online for the best deals.

    nice store if you don't have any problems, if you do expect long wait in line and no satisfaction. nice employees but hand are tied when it comes to a problem.

    PROS: large store lots of stuff
    CONS: no service for problems (without paying extra)

    I had a question about the DVD that was 'released' on a Tuesday. It was supposedly be physically there by Wednesday so I called local Best Buy on the niagara falls blvd...(which is this store) through deaf services. He was like.. "Hello, this is Brian" then the medium (worker for Sprint)asked him to accept my relay message. He was like "uh no" and hung up. Yes, the medium types everything the person says on the other line.

    This store is pretty much a staple in my shopping life. They have anything you would ever want. Their return policy is great. As long as you have a receipt, pretty much anything goes after 30 days. This is one of the reasons I like it there. Their prices are competitive. The only thing I do not like about this store is that I know more about the product than the sales people sometimes.

    PROS: Good selection
    CONS: lackluster sales info

    This Best Buy is the only one in the area that I'm aware of. It was nice to get one in the area to add some choice for electronics purchases, but Best Buy does not always have the best deals or the most customer friendly policies (e.g. restocking fee for returns). But as a big electronics chain it has a decent selection of stuff and you can find a good deal here and there. Overall, nothing special, but nice to have one in the area anyway.
