I have had a lot of trouble finding the PERFECT wedding dress. Anyone who has been married knows that it is all about finding "the one", and that is certainly not an easy task. I went to various places to look and still never found

After going to the degrading Boombabies to find a prom dress, SpyBabys was like heaven. Instead of trying to push me to try on dresses I didn't like, they let me look around and pull some dresses before they started pulling them for me. There was a few girls there and only two girls working and they handled it so well! I finally found a perfect dress and it was 20% off! I bought a 350 dollar dress for just 300! This place blows that crap hole boombabies out of the water! Because they're a wedding dress shop they know how to treat their customers!

I went there months ago....many many many months ago to look for a wedding dress. Now that I have had time to reflect I want to write a review:

I had made an appointment and when we got there it was like they weren??t prepared. The girl helping us had red hair and was very not into her job, she saw us and just seemed miserable. They didn??t have a room for us but finally put us on this back room where they stick some other dresses and stuff. I started trying on what was in my size you pull your own dresses. I had a back injury so when the red haired girl (cant remember he name) was helping lace up a corset I said Woa be careful this is painful I have a neck/back injury to my astonishment and my maid of honors she began to pull harder and became very aggressive it was weird and uncomfortable. I just kind of froze. I just wanted out of there. I will never have a hard time sticking up for myself again! I should have yelled at her or something but I was in shock. I just said I didn??t need her to lace up anything else. They don??t have all different sizes there you have to just get into a dress too big or small and guess how it will be. If you want to try on a dress your size ti cost 50 bucks for them to order a ample for you but you can have a gift card for their store? Um no thanks. They seemed aggravated and annoyed that I wasn??t finding one that said YES! IM the dress. But I did see one of their designers had a beautiful gown I would love to try on. At this point the red haired girl disappeared for 45 minutes in the middle of our dress search...... we were waiting for her help.... and the owner became aware and started "helping" us. When I told her the dress I wanted to try on it wasn??t there she told me I would have to pay 50 bucks. Then she??s was like is this the dress you want over and over I was like I don??t know??? I haven??t tried it on she wanted me to place the order and came off very pushy. They can GET the designers they list they don??t have them. Overall it was a very negative experience my maid of honor and I ended up leaving un-noticed. Then the owner called me to ask again if I wanted that dress I saw in a magazine and had never tried on......I said you know what it was a really bad experience and we were ignored and treated rudely she said oh and that was it NO Apology and no goodbye

Pros: You can leave whenever you want

Cons: Rudeness, apathy from workers and owner

I absolutely loved everything about my experience at Spybaby. I had previously gone to New York Bride and David's Bridal, not to mention a half dozen other smaller shops and BY FAR Spybaby gave me the best one-on-one service. They are laiid back enough to let you take pictures and pull your own dresses, but super professional and helpful and willing to go the extra mile and answer ANY questions you have. I found my dress there a few weeks ago and now I'm just deciding on my BM's dresses. You get a discount if you order your BM dreses through them as well.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE, GREAT SELECTION, HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!!

P.S. Appointments are reccommended - especially on the weekend. You can probably go during the week and not have a problem, but if you are going on Saturday be sure to call ahead!!

In Oct. 2003 I tried to purchace a dress from this store for my wedding in Oct. 2004. I paid a deposit of 50% of the dress an was told it would be ready around April, fine. But when my wedding was moved up to Dec. 2003 and I purchaced a different dress. The owner would not give me my origional deposit back. I felt that was very unprofessional.

Any mother who has every accompanied her daughter on a shopping excursion for a prom dress will testify that this can be a frustrating experience. But visiting Spy Baby Boutique can turn this negative into a positive and make finding the right gown almost painless.

Spy Baby is tucked into a tiny shop in Syracuse's Armory Square. Gowns are literally smashed into racks, but trained staff has a keen eye for which gowns will work, and which will not, and can quickly pull out the best choices. They also offer shoes and other accessories to complete a girl's dream prom outfit.

Spy Babies also has bridal gowns and dresses for wedding attendants. This shop is a must for anyone looking for that special dress for any event.
