My parents stayed here on their last vacation to visit me. It is the absolute best hotel in NYC. It is cozy and sweet while being in the middle of 14th street and right next to the Meat Packing District. Every morning breakfast ans coffee are available. Along with a morning flyer, with suggestion of things going on as well as the weather. So cute and helpful. Everyone who works there is down to earth and incredibly helpful. I will continue to steer friends and family there when they come to visit.

Chelsea Pines Inn was the perfect place for my husband & I on our honeymoon (12/08). We were looking for something in a reasonable price range, with modern accommodations that wasn't the size of a shoebox. Oh, and proximity to a subway station was key as well. Chelsea Pines fit all these categories, and more! The bed was quite comfortable. The room was always clean, as well as the common areas. We ate the continental breakfast every morning, and especially enjoyed the freshly baked bread - a different flavor every day! The room included a refrigerator, a flat screen TV and an iPod dock on the alarm clock/radio. And the staff was second to none as far as making us feel welcome and helping us out when needed. And the subway station is half a block away - couldn't be more convenient! We loved our experience at Chelsea Pines and will definitely go back on our next stay in NYC.

This little hole-in-the-wall "bed & breakfast" is nothing fancy but you just can't beat the deal. I've stayed here a few times and always gotten a great rate. I get the rooms with the private shower but shared water closet. The bed is tiny but the room feels clean. As are the shared facilities. For a gay man basically just looking for a place to crash at night this little inn is perfect. Right near the nightlife and shopping. Very close to the subway. The guys at the front are helpful and friendly, but not overly so. I've never quite made it up in time for breakfast, but it's included. Book very early for any of the gay holidays. Because of the great deal, I've had trouble getting a room even on normal weekends.

Pros: All in the price!

Cons: Very small rooms

This hotel has a variety of room sizes/price ranges, in the perfection location bordering chelsea & the west village. The hotel (the rooms especially) are very unique. This place definitely feels like an urban bed and breakfast.

Very inexpensive. I stayed in an economy suite without private path (had a very tiny shower in the room). Laundromat 2 blocks away. Very close to the Chelsea nightlife. Phone line quality was poor (could only get 19.2 connection to work) so don't expect to work while you're here.

Pros: Very Inexpensive, Near Chelsea nightlif

Cons: Some rooms w/o bath

A favorite lodging for gay travelers, this hotel sits on the border of Chelsea and Greenwich Village. It's perfectly placed within walking distance to the area's bookstores, bars and clubs. The friendly staff will do its best to…
