They had the best price and free shipping. The transaction went fairly smooth. The camera arrived in a timely manner. The only part that left me a little uneasy was a call that I recieved after I place the order online. They offered me some accessories which is OK, but the information they provided was not correct. They asked if I needed a memory card and when I declined because I already had a spare 4 GB SDHC Type 6 card, they said I would have a problem with that card, that I need a special card or if not I would have a lot of photos that would not come out. They also offered me a spare battery, when I said no they said the battery only lasted 48 minutes. When I got the camera I looked at the manual and it says the SDHC cards are fine and that the minumim battery duration is somewere around 130 minutes. If I had listened to their information I would have ended up with additional accessories I really did not need. At least they did not insist any further after I declined a second time. Anyway, eveything seems Ok other than this incident.

very easy transaction process, especially for myself an international customer, they replied to me by e mail within the hour, elliot the sales person was very helpful, and brought my attention to things i would definetly need as accessories, i never felt as though i was being put under pressure to buy something i didnt need and im glad he helped me make the right choice! these guys even had no problem going slightly above and beyond the call of duty for me, hopefully ill get to shop here again, recommend to anyone!

This is my third buying experience with 42nd St Photo and yet again it was flawless. I am from Germany, so buying in US can be bothersome sometimes because of credit card issues etc... Luckily I can use a US address for my stuff to be shipped to... This time I bought a Canon EOS 5D Mark II body. Got it for A good price and the item was shipped free exactly on the day i wanted it... What can I say? The third was not the last, for sure!

They had the best price for the camcorder I was looking for. After I ordered online, they called me to confirm my order and inquire about accessories I might need. Okay...I'm a professional photographer in Atlanta, GA. I desperately needed to get a new Canon 7D camera body for a good price and quickly. Due to the holiday season, and this Canon 7D being a brand new release, many stores were sold out of the camera body.
So...called 42nd Street Photo, spoke to Robert (really professional, very accommodating sales rep), told him of my situation, and within 5 minutes, Robert promised me they had the camera body in stock, and that I would receive it in 2 days.
Well...here's the incredible part...I received the camera today (2 days from order date) but, apparently the New York store actually was out of the Canon 7D camera body. So, to keep their promise, and get the camera to me as they said they would, they broke open a Canon 7D Kit, which includes a lens which I did not want (or need), removed the lens and sent me just the camera body. Nobody does this! This was unbelievable! Doing this during the holiday season, when they could sell the camera kit for more money than just the body, they put my needs, before their pocketbook!
I can't express my thanks enough! Great job! I will always contact 42nd Street Photo with any of my future photography needs.

Elliot was very professional in knowing exactly what I needed when I asked for his feedback on my camera. He knew where to look for when I asked for a replacement item for my camera. He found the item in stock and procesed my sale items. I told Elliot that I had a problem with a rechargable battery
that I purchased with my camera. He sent a replacement with my order, all I was asked to do was to send back to him the old battery. Nothing but excellent service, that is why I am a long time customer of 42nd Street Photo ! Thanks, Elliot

When i called in to 42nd street photo to place my order for the items that i
was interested in, they were extrememly polite the whole way thru. I
Received tracking information within a matter of hours after placing order
with them. The UPS Shipper delivered well packaged camera in a matter of a
couple days as promised by the gentleman that took my order. 42nd street

Doing business from Maui to New York can be risky in more ways than one, but 42nd St. Photo worked with me over the phone to make sure I was getting camera equipment that was compatible and user-friendly for the planned purpose I was buying the camera.

I needed a part for the flash on my camera, a Kodak Easy Share, and though Kodak took a long time (4 weeks to ship the part), the folks at 42nd Street Photo provided me with a "loaner" camera so I was still able to take pictures on my vacation. They were very kind, professional and helpful. I would recommend them highly.

By recommendation of a good friend, I visited the 42nd Street Photo store while on a business trip. My hotel was across town so it was quite the trek, but it was worth it. Unfortunately, when I got there, I realized I had forgotten my credit card in my room. Still, having known I wasn't buying right then and there, the staff was very helpful in helping me find the digital camera that was right for me. I simply told them the basics I wanted, they asked a few questions, and within minutes I was testing out a SONY Alpha a200k, I knew it was the one I wanted. At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with a point-and-shoot or a DSLR but the Alpha fit my needs well and was surprisingly affordable.The staff was also able to answer questions I had about photo editing software.

I left feeling good about going back the next day and making a commitment to the Alpha, but I couldn't make it and had to return home that evening. That's when I visited their website.

I found the model on the site, purchased it without hesitation, and it was shipped very quickly, well packaged, as one should expect.

I have been using this camera nearly every day for the past few months and I have never regretted the purchase, or the experience of shopping at 42nd Street Photo, both in store and online.

Every time I go to NYC to visit my family, I stop in at 42 photo. They are great, I have purchased many times from them. Even when I've had trouble with products and it had nothing to do with them, they helped me out more than they needed to. I will continue to shop there. Awesome service, order processing, and shipping. I wanted to let everyone know that when you want to save big bucks and receive extrememely great service shop with 42nd street photo. When i called the toll free number i didnt have to wait twenty minutes to get a real person on the phone. It took a total of seven minutes to give them my information and for them to give me my order number and tracking number. We went over all the items that i was purchasing and we were done. My order was shipped the day it was placed, I received a tracking number that night, and a delivery confirmation via e-mail when it arrived. From price, to service, these guys get two thumbs up. Tom
