Terrible, Rude Customer Service! I purchased some produce from this market on the afternoon of Jan 2, 2011 and as I was leaving an employee grabbed my jacket and asked me why I did not pay for the stuff in my bag. I was carrying a canvas reusable bag and the employee said that since I was not carrying their own plastic bag that I was stealing. The manager came over and demanded I show a receipt, which I did. He said "Okay- no Problem Then" - I demanded an apology and he said that "I get nothing'. The attitude at this market is customer last. If you want a rude, terse and abusive shopping experience come to the Deluxe Meat Market in Chinatown.

This is one of my favorite grocery store in Chinatown and actually, in the city probably. It is crowded on the weekends and you will absolutely run into some really rude people here trying to push through their ways.

Still, they have a huge variety of meat products here as well as vegetable, fruit and other prepared food. My favorite here is their pre-marinated meat products as well as their Hong Kong Style roast duck, chicken and ribs.

I come here every weekend to pick up grocery. Oh and another good thing is they take Credit Cards!

Pros: Huge Variety and Low price

This place is truly awesome! They have the freshest and cheapest meat, fish & vegetables. Marinated and prepared foods allows me to quickly put together a home cooked meal. Their sushi is surprisingly fresh and I'll admit I'm a sushi snob. When I crave basic sushi but cant afford to go to Tomoe or Blue Ribbon type places, I'll come here to pick up sushi. Their bakery is comparable to standalone bakeries. The owners of Deluxe are doing this community a service by providing such a great store to us. Thank you!!!

It does get crowded but I understand its the volume that makes everything cheap and fresh. Living in the city you have to get used to the crowds.

Pros: Selection, fresh, price

Some of the stuff here are check like the roast meat but it will end up being expensive if you don't check your change for counterfeit money. Since I am a regular shopper there I had been twice given fake $10 bills. The second time I realize it right away and point it out to the store and have to make a huge fuss cause I had step away from the register when I checked the bill.

I lave this place, especially when I got out of my night shift work at 7:00am. It opens at 6am and full of all kinds of goodies, bakery to cooked meals and pre marinated meats, cooked foods for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's a god send for me. Everything is really inexpensive. Stop by when you have a chance. you will love it too

This place is awesome. They have the widest selection of meats. I love their marinated meats/fish and pre-cut vegetables. It makes everything so much easier. Everything is always fresh and so cheap. Although it gets a bit crowded, i think its worth it .

Perfect place to buy cooked and uncooked food. The cooked food are inexpensive and the staff can speak in broken english. They also sell drinks and sushi that is freshly made. The place can be hard to manuever because it gets very crowded during lunch hour and after work hours. Go during brunch hour to get the freshest meat.

This store starts at one street and ends up at another. On the Mott St side, they mostly sell meat and the usual cooked duck, chicken, and roasted pig among other things. In the middle there are vegetables sold. On the Elizabeth side, there is a bakery and you can buy a lunchbox for a very good price. For $2.75, you can have a choice of up to 3 dishes with white rice. It is best to scope out both sides of hot food because sometimes they have different selections. On the Elizabeth St side they have tables for people to sit and eat or stand and eat. There is also a bathroom on the premises. The store is normally very crowded.
