Pros: Everything on the menu is good

Cons: It's located in Times Square - aka tourist central

Visit often... the nature of consignment shops is such that customers are dropping off new merchandise regularly!! Dressing rooms are postage stamp sized- one large fitting room would be much easier than trying to "fit into" a closet. Clerk working the day I shopped didn't go out of her way to help me in fitting room. Re. the pant racks in back of store: poor lighting above made it hard to see sizes on pricetags! I might return but I'm off to Clothes Mentor in the meantime!

Simply Pasta is the perfect place to MANGIA and save some $$$. They have a reasonably priced menu with a variety of good italian eats. The restaurant has a very dim decor and I love it!

This is my favorite place to go for dinner before catching a show. I have never been disappointed with any of my dishes, but my favorite is the chicken and sausage pasta. The fact that they are able to get you in and out quick if you are in a hurry is great. A must try if you want good food at even better price in an nice non touristy Times square restaurant!

I have been to this restaurant several times over the years and this was a shock to me so I thought I would share.

A girlfriend of mine and I went to have a glass of wine and dinner after work and all seemed fine at first. The staff was nice and they were quick to sit us. We ordered wine and looked over the menu.

Then when we weren't ready to order food straight away, our waiter disappeared for a while. Then passed our in haste for a longer while. We finished our wine and kept looking out for our waiter when we realized an hour had past. We decided to leave and went to the host to tell them what happened. Instead of saying sorry he asked if we wanted another table. After we declined, he said he would go get our waiter. Then he arrived with our bill and said he was waiting for us to flag him down. NO sorry! He took our money and the host asked if we were sure if we didn't want another table. Still no apology.

I would give this experience less than half a star, but a minimum one star was required.

We wont be back.

It is the best place in Midtown for the best price. The best service ever. Best Martinis. Best Bartenders and Best Servers.
Somebody says:" too expensive", go to McDonalds and have dollar menu for el chipos.

Not the best italian food I've ever had but the decor is nice. It's a little tricky to find but worth finding if you're looking for an easy, less expensive place to have a simple italian dinner. Go see the holiday show at Bryant Park before or after dinner, that's always nice. Have fun everyone!

Fifi really is a wonderful shop, lots of styles and sizes. Wonderful accessories also. Every now and then there are coupons in the Clipper which are an added bonus. The shop is clean, well organized. A little cramp for space. Not your store if you are allergic to dogs...but she is adorable.

The pizza was very good too (thin crust etc.), though they don't have a large selection. This is a great place for an inexpensive dinner before or after theater.

Simply Pasta is a lovely, small italian restaurant right down the street from RENT. The food is good but definitely overpriced. If you get lucky enough, you could catch the cast of RENT here every now and then. I did and I got to meet Joey Fatone. The staff is also very nice.

The food is reasonably priced for midtown italian. . . . but how could it not be when the food is so poor. Also, who takes the trash from the kitchen out the front door when the restaurant still has patrons in it.? These guys. What restaurant in midtown closes at 10 on a Friday night? These guys.

Great food, reasonably priced. It's a bit busy at lunch and you can't get a reservation but I've had to trouble finding a table for up to 4 people. Staff is in a bit of a hurry sometimes but that's ok because the food and bill come quickly.

I'm not a fan of Italian food, but I went to this restaurant, since my friend wanted to go. I was impressed with the atmosphere af first. Then, with the food and affordable price. It was a great experience. I would definitely go back!

i was meeting a friend who works nearby, so i decided to see what was available in terms of coupons on restaurant dot com. this was listed so i checked out their website and their pictures looked great. the menu looked appetizing as well, especially for the prices. we had a enjoyable meal, though the baked clams were a bit bland. my friend ordered the beef medallions, and asked them be prepared medium rare. they came out medium well, so we sent them back, and within 10 minutes, we had what we wanted. i ordered the linguini with chicken and scallops, and the sauce was very tasty. we got the banana tiramisu as recommended by a previous post, but it was too creamy for my taste. overall, it was a great dining experience, and with the $25 off $50 coupon we had, it was all the better. i highly recommend this place for an inexpensive italian meal that tastes great as well.

Someone I know recommended this place to me and I loved it. Located in a good spot - about half way between my midtown office and Penn Station to go home. Also not too congested bc it's a few blocks off from the hub of Times Sq. The food was extremely affordable (I think $10-$15) and also quite tasty! The chicken marsala was a bit salty but very flavorful, and my companion seemed happy with her pasta dish. I was also impressed by the fact that they had complimentary bruschetta in addition to the bread, as well as biscotti that came with our check! And, service was very good. Food came VERY quick, and our waitress was attentive - just the right amt. On a Tues night, it wasn't too packed, and they let us linger over the end of our meal rather than rush us out. I'd definitely return!!

This is a great & reliable restaurant to have in the area. It's an especially nice option for those traveling to/from Grand Central Station who want something a little nicer than the fast food places at the GCT dining concourse (be sured to budget enough time to cross Bryant Pk if you need to catch a GCT train!). The food is delicious, the bruschetta for the table is a nice & unexpected variation from the typical bread basket & the selection is wide & wonderful. Prices are inexpensive & service is fast. We are repeat diners here!

Went here with the boyfriend after a reservations snafu at another restaurant, and it turned out to be the best accident that could have happened. We arrived right before the "pre-theater rush" and were seated promptly, although we didn't have reservations. The decor is gorgeous and the atmosphere is very laid-back and casual. It's your everyday Italian menu, no surprises here -- except the prices, which were extremely reasonable, cheaper than your run-of-the-mill Olive Garden. I got the seafood ravioli and boyfriend got penne vodka, both of which were fresh and delicious. Their bruschetta is to die for, and the fried calamari appetizer is equally tasty (although almost as expensive as an entree). The only drawback was our waiter, who vanished after taking our order and reappeared just in time for the check. After we'd finished our dinner, he came over with a plate of chocolate biscotti and the check, telling us to let him know if we'd like to add anything, and he took off before we could actually order anything. While the biscotti was great, we didn't stick around for any other dessert, as we were fed up with the waiter. Granted, the other waiters seemed to be very attentive, and if we do come back, we'll make sure to have a different waiter. Despite his antics (the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5), the food was great, and you certainly can't beat the prices. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and would love to come back again.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is fun...we especially love the clever "pasta decor" and colorful ceiling and while waiting for our meal, we enjoyed checking out the scenes from parts of Italy on all the walls, lighting is excellent, staff is friendly and efficient.

Never a bad meal. Polite service. The pizza as well as Tortellini Carbonara are most excellent. Great place for parties - plenty of room.

I have been to many pasta places lately. This one serves various dishes but none of it quite special. I prefer the Olive Garden closeby: better value for money.

I took a group of 9 teenagers for dinner after a day of museums - the service was excellent and the food delicious - but to top it off, the check certainly wasn't over the top ($125 for 11 (2 adults too)!! The restaurant is very convenient to Times Square and the Theater district - I'm returning with another group in 3 weeks. Would be great for
couples too

I agree with other reviewers that this restaurant is certainly better than most in the area and it is very reasonably priced. However, why is it so dark in there? Couldn't they add a little extra light?

This place has been quite a find. I've never been overly thrilled with many of the Theater District Italian places. Most of them are overcrowded and suffer from poor service and overpriced food. I found this place a few months ago and have been back since to be sure the first experience wasn't a fluke.

The menu is loaded with great Italian dishes. It's hard to choose. The prices are fair and I had a courteous and attentive server during both visits. The ambience is perfect at night, a little dark and cozy feeling. The decor is a mix of traditional and modern. Give this place a try!

The food here is very good but they definitely overcharge. The decor is very lovely in it's old world Italian charm. It is often packed and you may wait awhile for a seat. It is also very loud in the restaurant. You have to strain to hear what the other person is saying.

I was looking for pre-theatre dining with my 13 year old son. With theatre on 42nd St., there is not too much to select from besides fast food or chains. We did some searching and found this little gem! Great prices - food was very good. Shrimp were large and tasty and generously portioned. Wait service was attentive. Lots of groups, including some with children. Will definitely try this one again!

This place is slightly off the beaten track just outside of Times Sq. The exterior is nothing fancy, but the interior is attractive and inviting. The waitstaff is great and they accommodate groups well. The food is solidly good with standard Italian dishes as well as some other choices. There were also a few vegetarian options. The portions are just right and I think this is one of the better values per plate in the area. They also have a nice wine list and good dessert.

Nothing spectacular but the food is good, tasty and fresh and can be had for a reasonable price. Not the best spot for a romantic dinner, being rather noisy and crowded despite it being a decent size, but a great place to grab a decent meal you will enjoy. A favorite at my office for birthday lunches.
