Best of all no one knows I have extensions because they blend so well with my natural hair!! The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The new makeover of the salon is gorgeous and very upscale!

A few months ago I had my Brazilian Keratin treatment done in a salon that my friend recommended to me and I WAS NOT HAPPY! 3 weeks ago I was walking around the neighborhood looking for a new salon and walked into artistik salon to require about their services and prices. I was recommended to Jacob. He gave me a free consultation and offered to redue my Brazilian Keratin treatment and I am absolutely happy with the results! The product he used was just what I needed to get the frizz out of my hair and add more shine! I am now Jacobs weekly client for blowdrying and styling my hair. Jacob gives a fantastic wash and blowdry! He listens to the look you want and matches it. He uses great products and will select the products based on your hair texture, color, quality as well as your requests. I have been going to him almost every week!!

A while back I decided to give it a shot and walked into artistik salon on 77 street to have my hair styled and let me tell you, I was amazed by the result. Thank you Jacob! Every time you do my hair it feels and looks great! I am now at artistik salon every week! The staff is friendly. Albert always smiles and is very welcoming. I had gone to a Salon, which will remain unnamed where the stylist ruined my hair. My co-worker is always raving about Artistik Salon and her hair always looks great. I had nothing to loose, so i made an appointment with Albert . I was in desperate need for anything, Albert did my color and highlights, Anthony did a haircut and finishing style. Vivi gave me THE BEST shampoo and head massage. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience or with the way it turned out! I would not recommend anyone else! Artistik Salon is the way to go!

Blonde Ambitions: I love ALBERT!!! He is the without a doubt the best stylist I've ever Met. Not only did he listened to what I wanted, and gave me exactly that, but he also used the best and most gentliest products on my hair (I wanted blond, blond, blond!) so that after several years of damaging my hair thanks to other stylists in the past - with his care my hair is now soft and shiny :) He does excellent highlights, natural looking and not too much and not too little. Albert has the perfect touch so as Vivi for a WONDERFULL shampoo and scalp massage/treatment. They are trully artists and you can see that they love their work! Can't wait to come back!!!!

Hi, I'm sorry to go against the grain on this one, but this place is so scary. I went to have highlights done. The guys that did them totally did them the wrong color so not only did I still have my roots, I had multiple colors or hair and roots. It was a mess. He offered to fix it, so I returned and he put some toner in that kind of dulled the multiple colors, it still doesn't look good and I'll have to go have it redone. Even worse, the poor woman seated next to me was having her roots done. She had a dark auburn colored hair and when they rinsed her hair her roots were FIRE ENGINE RED. Then one of the guys there was like "don't worry, we'll dry it for you." What? I felt so bad for her. These people do not know what they're doing. Very scary, don't go.

At First I have to say that Albert is very creative, talented and amaizing hairstylist!!! He's been doing my hair for the past 5 years, I've gone from blonds to redhead, from redhead to brunnete with caramel highlights. In the summer I love being a rich golden bonde, towards fall and winter he creates stunning one tone medium brown with highlights. Every single time I live this salon I get a lot of compliments. My hair always looks extremly shiny and feels like silk. It feels absolutely wondefull when people on the street would stop me and ask me "what salon? and who? did your hair?" The assistan is very sweet, accomodating and gives the BEAST head massage while getiing a shampoo.
I also may whrite that I have a boyfriend who is 10 years yonger then me and he ALWAYS adores my hair as well. Albert totally changed my life and my hair! Love Artistik Salon, especially Albert

I came to this salon by recomendations of my friends who found this salon on citysearch and love getting their hair done by Albert! I had a pleasure of having Albert to do my color and single process as well. HE is really talented and creative stylist/colorist. My hair never looked so healthy and shiny after i left the salon. I was due for a good change haircut and Albert created a stunning even all around bob, aahhh wasn't I amaized!!!!! My boyfriend loved my new look, and I sent him to Albert as well. I can't wait to come back to Artistic again to see Albert.

For the first time in NYC I found this little salon on citysearch where I accually had my perfect highlights done by Albert. No attitude, no drama........ I loved this salon from the moment I walked in. Albert is very creative and proffessional. There are a lot of different tones of blonds, me and Albert decided to create rich golden blond and rich caramel blond to add depth for the dimention. Boy were we right!!!!!!!! I love the color.. definitely coming back to get my hair cut and Brazilian keratine treatment in 4 weeks.... And can't wait to see Vivi for OUTSTANDING shampoo and scalp massage.

I recently walked in for a cut and I can honestly say that the girl, Barry, was surprisingly good. Not only did she listen to me and give me a great cut, but the additional $25 for the blowout was well worth it. And she was very nice!

I came to visit my sister for holidays in NYC and asked her to make an appointment at the hair salon where she always gets her hair done ( her hair color and cut ALWAYS looks so great that it drove me insane). My hair was a major disaster from all the coloring and bleaching. My sister recommended me to see Albert. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with warm welcome and everyone were so nice to me. Treated me very well with a glass of wine. Albert is magnificent and works magic! He gave me a free consultation to which we agreed and pursued to work on my hair. I LOVE THE RESULT! The golden blonde color, the shiny light blonde highlights, the hair cut!!!!!!!!!! WOW! Vivi is exteremly polite and gave me the best hair wash, head massage and scalp treatment. Thank you ALBERT! For the first time I went in for their specials and it definitelly worth a try! My hair was a major dissaster from coloring and highlighting it at the different salons. I have been going to Artistik Salon for 4 years and always recieve an OUTSTANDING service and better all of that my color always looks shiny and haircuts are FABULOUS!!! Albert had created many different colors and haircuts in the past 4 years on my hair, suggested from long layers to a short bob, and I couldn't be any happier everytime leaving the salon with a different look. I ALWAYS get compliments on my color and cut everytime I leave the salon till I'll come back the next time to see Albert. He also did my hair for my wedding day and other 7 bride mades and all of our hair up-do's looked GOURGEOUS! Everyone loved my hair on my wedding day. Albert is very talented, creative and passioned about what he does with hair. I recently recieved AMAIZING BRAZILIAN KERATIN TREATMENT and it made my life sooooo much easier. The treatment took away all the frizz from my hair and made it very soft and shiny. Now I dont have to deal with my hair every morning for 40 minutes blowdrying either styling it, just wash and go. I have been going to Artistic salon for 4 years, where I found the most talented and creative stylists!!!!! Not only they will make you look beautifull also they will make you feel GREAT inside of you. I always have my color and highlights done by Albert . My overall color is milk chocolate and golden blond highlights, also It was a big decission for me to cut off more than 10 inches of my hair at my last visit , but Albert walked me through it very nicely. He is very creative and talented so all of his stylists and assistants, and most of all he never rush. Now I have shiny rich color and layered bob and my hair NEVER looked the same, plus I get lots of compliments everyday. I recomended him to all of my girlfriends and co-workers, all of them are very happy and loyal to Artistik salon and Albert.

I just moved to the area and everything is pretty new for me. One day I decided to color and highlight my hair BUT was very scarred just to walk into any salon in the area, because I am very particular about my hair. I found this little, great hidden salon on citysearch and decided to give a shot. Luckily this place had an oppeneing spot for me. I feel very lucky I had Albert to do my hair. My hair was a major dissaster from highlighting it for so many years, with dry freezy ends. Albert took his time, paying attention to all liitle ditails that needed to be done on my hair in order to make it look healthy and shiny. I spent 2.5 hours in the salon, everyone were so nice to me and had great attitude. While Albert was finishing blowdrying my hair I saw each section on the brush with the shiny, even color and there I was pleased. I am very greatfull for their incredible work performance on my hair. I am highly recomending this salon to everyone and especially ALBERT MY MAN!!!

I am always so nervous when I get my hair done by someone new. I just walked into Fine Artistik for a cut and highlights and I couldn?t be happier. Albert suggested I go for a completely new look and explained his vision to me. He even named the cut ?an end to something old and a new beginning? which is the perfect name because I actually feel much lighter and more joyful since Albert worked his magic on me. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the cut and color! He is an artist! He is excellent at both coloring and styling. He is warm, funny and I am so grateful I finally found Albert! My friends love my hair too and everyone keeps asking me where I went for my new look. I hope you treat yourself to having Albert work on you too!

At this salon, I recently got one of the worst haircuts I've ever had. I've read great reviews about this place, particularly about two of the stylists there, however the woman who cut my hair was not one of them. I went into the salon and asked Lisa, my stylist, if she could fix a not-so-great cut I'd received earlier. I asked her if she could keep it longer in the front, shorter in the back, and I also asked if she could keep most of the length, since it was pretty short to begin with. She answered yes to all of these questions, told me she'd only have to cut an inch off, and assured me it would look great.

Well, she proceeded to spend 45 minutes cutting my hair a little bit, then cutting some more, and then cutting even more. She spent 80% of the time cutting one side of my head and 20% the other side. It became clear rather quickly that she had cut at least 2 1/2 inches off my hair, along with cutting at least three layers.

Toward the end of the cut, she asked me what I thought, and I HAD TO POINT OUT TO HER that the back of my hair (which was now longer than the front of my hair, completely opposite of what I asked for and what she said she could do) was uneven on one side. She said, "let me see," and then attempted to straighten it out. Again, she asked me what I thought and I told her that it was a lot shorter than what I asked for and not what I wanted. The only response she could give me was, "Well, in a month you'll love your hair."

What about now? For the record, my hair will not look better in a month, because half an inch of hair would not make a difference. Don't get me wrong, she was a very friendly woman, however I don't think she should be working at this, or possibly any, upscale salon. She should NOT have told me she could do what I asked for if it was not possible. She made a mistake, tried to fix it, and failed miserably.

Bottom line, if you go to this salon, make sure you get one of the more experienced stylists.

This salon is deffinetely worth a try!!! I found them on citysearch. From the moment i walked in I was welcomed with a BIG WARM smile. My Stylist ALBERT was running about 10 minutes late but after when he came up to me and appologized. For the first time I had a clear consultation about my color and haircut, I had to explain my previuos terrible color experienses. ALBERT is a great listener and CREATIVE stylist
He explained every step he was making towards coloring my hair. He made me feel comfortable and i was very relaxed because I trusted him. The vibe is GREAT. I left the salon with GORGEOUS,SHINYand SILKY hair with long textured cut and side part bangs. He also recomened to purchase and use LOREAL shampoo & conditioner they use in the salon, I LOVE IT!!!!!

I found this salon online, and decided to give chance for my makeover looks! For MODERN and UPDATED color and styles go see Albert at Artistic salon. For the first time I brought pictures and showed Albert how exactly I want my color and haircut. He turned my old, faded away color damaged hair into a shiny healthy hair. He is a great individual, very professional, creative and understanding. Not only my hair looks FANTASTIC I also feel young and cute!! i am writing to comment about my recent visit to this salon. i read the reviews about joann and i and my best friend got our hair cuts by her and we left very happy. she has excellent communication skills, a warmth to her and advanced cutting skills. she is commited to the latest in hair styles and and cutting techiniques. i requested a specific style and she delivered exactly what i wanted. please dont waste anymor time going to any one else. we are going back to joann!

I had never wrote reviews before, but I feel like i have to write for this salon. I had long hair, and few different colors.Albert was wonderfull, understanding and during the consultation he offered me to cut my hair in layered bob ( I was very neurvious) and left me with beautifull brown color and caramel highlights. He gave me a haircut that it changed my life!!!! It"s stylish, modern and easy to manage for me on a dayly bases. I have never had people stopping me on the street and would ask me where I got my haircut. Guys are great! Can't wait to come back.

OMG!!!! I have never been SO IMPRESSED with my highlights and haircut after I left this salon. I am very high maintanence, new to New-York and was very nervious to try new salon because of my previous salon experinces, but here I found this GREAT little hiden salon. I had my time booked with Albert, and from the moment I walked in I was welcomed with warm personality and later witha glass of red wine!!!!!. He is really talented and creative and most likely he listened to me and kept my hair long, only added lots of layers and gave me long side bangs. My hair now is VERY SHINY AND SILKY exactly how it should be!! Needless to say how many compliments I get on my hair daily, I love my hair everyday I look in the mirror!!!!!!

I went to Joann recently, and she gave me fabulous long layers. I have never gotten anything spectacular done to my hair unlike this haircut. I love the fact that she was talking everything through on what i wanted done and she was very patient. My hair is so thick and very wavy so i thought it wouldn't be such a great idea and would be hard to maintain, but she did a excellent job. I am deffinitley going back to her again. Go to joann ! I deffinitley reccommend her 100%.

I was in despare to find a good stylist and colorist. Not only good, Albert is REALLY an amazing colorist!! My first experience in this great little hair salon left me with a GORGEOUS shiny chocolate brown hair with caramel highlights. I can't thank enough the staff of this salon they way I was treated. Everyone is very accomodating and sweet. Also I have to mention that Albert was very busy and still found a time in between to get me on his schedulle. They use an exellent hair products to prevent the color from fading and freezy hair. The shampoo I had recieved was AWESOME, with special scalp massage. DEFFINATELLY COMING BACK!

For the first time I went to Artistik Salon for highlights and a haircut. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the highlights and a haircut I received fom Albert. He is really talented and creative. I just moved into the area and I was very unsure about where to go and get my color done. Here on citysearch I found this wonderfull little salon. My first experience was UNBELIEVABLE. Albert had to match my previous color and highlights. I honestly never had a beautifull and shiny color and highlights before. Back home my stylist did them very ashi and moussie color. I loved the way Albert did my hair. I am definitaly coming back to the Artistic salon

I never had wrote any reviews before , but i feel I have to for Artistic. I had scheduled an appointment to see Albert for my highlihgts and haircut. I was stunned and amaized with a unbelievable results. I had asked Albert for light blond highlights, but he advised to have them caramel blond for fall and towards winter time, so the color wont make me pale looking. Followed with a long layered haircut and long-ish side bangs, framed even layers I felt in love with my hair and myself!!!! My highlights looks so natural. The receptionist was very accomodating, Ilhan the assistant gave me the best shampoo and head massage. I love the fact that they are all from different countries and speak many languages. I went to work the next day I had tons of compliments and my girlfriends had to take me out for drinks, that finaly my hair looked outstanding!!! I sent all my girlfriends to see Albert. Thank you Albert and I will come back next month!

I was reccomended to go to joan from citysearch and i am so glad that i went to her because it was the best thing that i had ever done. I have asian hair and it is very hard for me to find someone to cut my hair and i was very pleased to meet her. She is an expert and she did exactly what i wanted. She is also a very good listener. I would reccomend anyone to joan especially people who have asian hair.

I had to check out the website of this salon from my home in Australia. I had planed my wedding in NYC and needed a hairstylist to do my hair. I spoke to Albert over the phone and he sounded very sure of his work. His only words were that he need to see me in the salon early in the morning the dayof my wedding. Where and How can I start telling that Albert is really an artist. He did my hair exactly the way I was picturing myself as a birde. I ooked stunning, and out of this world with my hair!! Plus Albert had to add highlights into my hair before styling it. Also, my girlfriends had thier hair done with other stylists at Artistik and everyone just looked incredible!!!!! I love this little place and can't wait to come back!

I walked into a salon and had my haircut by joann, i had told the receptionist that i wanted a specific blunt haircut i had wanted something that looked like Victoria Beckhams but not that severe. I was assigned to joann, who is the best. She listened with intent, and she is was really skilled in how she cuts hair, NOT everyone can use the razor like she can as razor can make hair appear damaged if its not done by a competent person. You must request only Joann because what she has done to my hair was far more than amazing and i've had my haircut In high end salons. I am going back in 6 weeks! People stop me on the street asking "who cut your hair" and i said Joann at Artistic. Joann is AMAZING !!!

I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to write one for Fine Artistik. I have been here about 5 times, and I always leave thrilled with my hair! Albert is my stylist, so I can't vouch for any of the others, but...

Albert is fabulous! His highlights are beautiful and natural. He listens to what you want, never gets chop-happy with his cuts and doesn't have that typical uptown snobbish attitude. I have no inclination to go anywhere else! Oh, and their prices are MORE than reasonable for NYC.

My visit to this salon was great!!! After making an appointment for my hair extenssions I totally love my hair! I had always dreamed about LONG, FULL,SILKY HAIR. And it was possible after me and stylist Albert had a consultation about this whole hair extenssions work. I just can't believe how naural it looks. I even can color my hair, I am 100% grey.I let Albert color my hair. What a INCREDIBLE job they all had done. The assistant who washed my hair was very gentle and accomodating. I love the fact that they are from all different countries and making sush a wonderfull work. I had a dinner that night to meet my boyfriends family for the first time and let me tell you I've got million complimets on my hair!! I sent all my girlfriends too this salon. I hihgly recomend this salon to everyone.

After reading all the reviews here on this site I've decided to call and make an apointment anyways. It was my firest time getting my color and highlights in New-York. I was very loyal client to my hairstylist in France, but I would love to share this with everyone that I found this little,cute, charming salon yet proffessional. Albert did my highlights exactly how I pictured it will look. I am so happy and thriled with my hair. I love it when every morning I wake up and look in the mirror. They are great and proffessionals. I cried all night because of the cut Fabio gave me yesterday. I am trying to grow my hair out, and I emphatically asked for no layers. And yet he chopped up my hair and gave me extremely short layers. It is going to take months and months, if not a year, to grow out what he did to me today. Do not make the mistake I did by trying out this salon.

I went based on other reviews and was not disappointed at all! I had gotten a bad haircut at another salon and Joanne was amazing at fixing my hair. She listened attentively to my concerns and walked me through what she was going to do to my hair before beginning. I completely trusted her and have an incredible cut to show for it! After reading all the great revews on citysearch i called Artistik salon and made an appointment with Albert.I really needed to update my style- both style and colorwise. During a consultation Albert sugested adding long layers and deepening the color of my hair. I desided to trust his jugement ( the best dessision ever!!!). My hair is silky shiny very healthy looking and feeling, and the layers added a lot of volume to my long previously limp hair!!! My appointment started on time, everybody there were very accomodating. They have a really great team working there, I felt right at home!

I found this place on citysearch and I don't regret it. As a first time client the receptionist welcomed me to have a consultation with Albert. When he looked at my hair he told me what needs to be done in order to make it healthy and tones of colors would be good for my complection. My hair was so damaged from the previous highlight job, but Albert took a GREAT care of my hair. I couldn't believe I had BEAUTIFULL SHINY brown hair with mocca/caramel highlights. My hair was so smooth and back to being healthy. NOONE ever gave me such an AMAIZING color and finish style blowdry. In other salons I would spend 40 min for only blowdry but it still would n't come out the way I wanted it. Albert is FANASTIC at what he does. He REALLY takes a GREAT care of the hair and clients. I was standing next to the mirror for half an hour and couldn't stop looking and touching my hair. The price is right for my highlights and healthy hair!!!!

I came to the salon last week for the first time. The receptionist recomended me to go to Joanne because i have really long hair and am very spessific about how much should be taken off. Joanne herself has long hair< she is also a great listener and does exactly what is aked to be done. While we had a cut consultation she also mantioned hilites. i have never colored my hair before and told her that. She was very proffesional about the whole approach and just told my options and showed me some colors. After i saw a beautiful hair cut she gave me i decided to actually come back for color. I did...And was not dessapointed- Joanne gave me very sattled hilites that left my hair looking very natural just sun kissed. I highly recomend this salon- the service is great and the prices are very reasonable!

Awful customer service, scatter-brained hair stylist and comically overpriced services for location & low talent of the stylist.

I left with green tinted, wet hair and a ridiculously high bill.

GO ELSEWHERE!

After a bad highlight job at another UES salon I decided to do some research. The reviews for Artistik were so great I decided to give it a shot. My hair was in desperate need of a great color and that's exactly what I got. I have never had better highlights, even from the more popular salons in NY that clear out your bank account.

The salon is small and they still use some old fashioned techniques.. ie: a hair dryer on the foils instead of the big dryers that come down over the top of your head ,but the staff are great, I have never felt more relaxed at a salon.

Am looking forward to going back there in a few months time!

I read all the great reviews and decided to see for myself. I made an appt and went. I told the hair stylist what I wanted and he sent me to get my hair washed. He took all of 5 -7 minutes to cut my hair. He didn't seem to care about the fine details at all. He kept trying to get me to get highlights in my hair. I asked him how much they costed at he threw down and number. I was like next time. I mentioned that it was fast. He said he was professional. I couldn't have believed. He didn't even check that anything was even. He started to do my layers in a way I never had seen before, but I figured I would let him work. Then I mentioned are you going to layer my bangs. He must have forgotten. He was like yeah and started to hack away with out a clear path at my bangs. I was mortified. He was going to let me walk out with my hair in a frizzy wet mess. At that point I should have just walked out. I needed blowdry and even that was unsuccessful...He was burning my scalp and ears at times. If you want a nice haircut please stay away from this place. I wasted $82. Im going to get a new hair cut to fix the damage. I believe I am fair and impartial. I was so upset to come home with that cut.

While on a recent visit to New York, I took the recommendation of a fabulously well tressed friend to seek the services of Joanne at Fine Artistik Salon.I coudn"t be happier with the results, this is the best haircut I have had in years in addition to taking years off my appearance. Along with her professional demeanor and warm smile Joanne made my trip to the city from good to I can't wait to come back again for my next haircut! I highly recommend Joanne to anyone who wants to look and feel like a million bucks!
