The Scene
Billed as the travelers' alternative to New York's overpriced, undersized accommodations, this European-style hotel lives up to its reputation. It is located in the ever-hip SoHo district just steps from chic, trendy restaurants and bars. Ask the friendly multi-lingual staff for dining and nightlife suggestions--you won't be disappointed.

The Details
Just a few of the services available include cheaper-than-normal airport car service and on-premises laundry service (both self-service and dry-cleaning). The real draw here, though, is the price. For relatively reasonable rates, guests can enjoy a sizeable room. Some of the suites will accommodate up to four adults. The smaller suites have shared bathrooms and kitchens. All rooms come with satellite TV and modem lines for Internet access.

Off soho suites is just as its name suggest, an off the track kind of hotel that will cater to people who are on more of a restricted budget, but who also have a little bit of money for some luxuries. They have a great little caf in the hotel for your dinning needs, and they give discounted rates for long stays.

It's definitely not deluxe, but it is right across the Bowery from ever-expanding Soho. You will not find a cheaper hotel downtown. The rooms are suprisingly large and are pleasant enough. Don't expect a mint on your pillow, however. It's certainly not the garden spot of NYC, but the neighbhorhood is not particularly dangerous, and not really forbidding in the daytime. Don't walk around alone after midnight looking clueless and you'll be fine.
