A bit too pricey, for the type of service and foods. I like it though. They have pretty good menu. It seems like they are attracting the younger crowds more so than the older ones - all of the times I've been there, the girls at the register don't look any older than 14... I loved the food there. It's great.

I went in to order a burger and by the time I got my food it was cold and disgusting! I spoke with one of the employees asking them to if there was a way to change it for something else because I wasn't eating cold food, instead I was told to wait until she could finish typing on her cellular device and then she would help me! And even after waiting, I was told her manager was not there to change my order!! I mean if you have employees like this.. how long before your business closes because of snobby little teenagers?

I love this place, and it's one of a kind. They have the best fries and the best Chicken Gyro I've ever eaten. The decor is vibrant and fun, and in the summer the whole front opens up and on the weekends its a scene. They also have great salads and their tzatziki sauce is amazing! Long live Pita Pan!

Pros: Really good food and a fun place to hang out while people watching.

Cons: They stop serving some items later on in the night, guess thats why their fresh.

I eat here about 3-4 times a week. One of my favorites is the chicken gyro with the mustard sauce....it is really, really good! I used to eat here before the renovations, and by far the service/food surpasses the former. They have since restaffed and it has paid off. The food is a good value and they deliver long distances...its great for late / lazy nights. The staff is friendly and the food good. The area is generally clean and I will continue to go there...

While the food was decent, it was stone cold by the time it got to us. I tried calling to check they had the correct address - the man I spoke to was plenty rude saying the guy was already coming and hung up on me before I could double-check the address. This crappy service is just not worth it.

I go often because I love the gyro. It's a little bit more pricey than the competing gyro places in Astoria like BZ grill, Gyromania, etc. You need to order two (2) gyros to get the same amount of gyro as the other gyro places, which costs a little more than one gyro at another place. The fries are amazing. I ordered souvlakia, those sucked. Too small and the meat wasn't the best.
One thing that bothers me is that sometimes their staff is extremely slow. I don't know what takes so long about gyro and patates.
I recommend just going for gyro and fries, nothing else. The frappe is good. They play good music and it's a nice environment. Overall, a good place, with good gyro and fries. Can't say much about everything else in there.

Pita Pan, is simple, trendy, unique, healthy, and priced just right! Where else can you get clean and tasty food? This place excels, it has created a place for neighbors of all ages. A place for all palats, vegetarian or not. Yeah so they were closed for a bit, and every professsional knows there are hiccups on start ups, but pay very close attention, this young hip place has already knocked the socks off in ASTORIA. I hope you really enjoy, I do and love every bite, every time!

We used to love Pita Pan and ordered food for delivery there once a week. They were closed for a while and they recently reopened next door. Today (a saturday afternoon) we ordered our old regular order: a couple paninis and two mesclun salads, which used to be their side salad or small salad. The paninis were still good, although they used to to have so much free range chicken in them that you could take some out and put it on your salad. About 1/3 of my panini had no chicken in it and I had several large bites of just bread. The salads were truly terrible though. They now cost 3.50 each for a small handful of slimy wild lettuce mix and a little bit of feta thrown in. Granted, in the past, they were simple salads, but they were cheap and you got a lot more lettuce in them, with a really good balasamic vinagrette which wasn't as good either, unfortunately. I hope this and the bad review before were just the results of Pita Pan getting used to their new location.

Pros: Used to have great food for relatively cheap...

Cons: The "Pro" may no longer be true.

We heard some bad reputations from our friends who live in the area, but since we visited the area we gave a try the other day. We have to say it was total chaos taking orders, two guys in front of us complained they got wrong food. Anyways, so our turn to order comes, and then one of the waiters brought in a customer from outside, and cut us off. No ?excuse me? or nothing, oh well, this must be Greek thing. So we wait for our turn. But all of them were just standing around and not taking orders, too busy yelling back and forth. We waited, asked who can take our order, they mumble something and kept ignoring us. So we simply left the place. Maybe they have good food, but rudest service we?ve ever explained in NYC. Never go back (and my friends were right, Pita Pan has rudest customer service)

I must say....I am a regular customer at this restaurant...They have created the best gyro/souvlaki/chicken souvlaki that you can not get anywhere else in NY! Their food is top quality, not greasy (like every other place) or messy! Their portions are just perfect! You eat here and finish your meal not being overly stuffed...I love how they made this eatery with a twist of being health conscious...Whole Wheat Pita Bread is an option...Chicken gyro is also an option and delicious! The TRADITIONAL greek salad is a must try! From the Panini Sandwiches, to their gyro/souvlaki, french fries, dips, and even dessert (chocolate molten cake- one of my favorites) PITA PAN is a destination place! For all those gyro lovers out there get ready....and don't worry if you are a vegetarian, the zucchini fritters await you! Pita Pan got my vote! Two Thumbs up to the staff and food...keep up the good work!

Cons: None

I love this place. First of all, it is trendy without the pretention. Super clean. The owner and the counter people are very friendly. But most importantly the food is delicious! The pitas are not overstuffed and messy. They fill them up just right. The pork and chicken souvlaki are cut into small bite size pieces, and that makes it so much easier to eat. And whatever their recipe is for taziki, it is just right!!! Meat is top quality, not super fatty. They put french fries inside. At first I didn't think I would like it, but it's the BEST!!!

If you live in Astoria or are in the area you MUST try one, or two...but maybe two won't be enough and you may have to eat THREE!!!
