My husband & I have been going to Tonio??s since it opened and have never had a bad experience. It??s our favorite restaurant. The food is excellent and Tonio makes you feel like a member of his family. My husband especially likes the Zuppa de clams. Whether we go as a couple or with a very large group to celebrate a special occasion, we have never been disappointed. I have a serious food allergy and they are always extremely helpful in tweeking a dish to accommodate my problem.

This gracious Italian restaurant on 7th Ave. in Park Slope alway seems to be empty; but why? The food is delicious, the service friendly and Tonio, the owner is the sweetest man alive. We've been there on several occasions and Tonio was wonderful with our kids. All of the dishes we sampled (pastas, veal and fish) were excellent--the real thing. And the wine list was first-rate. So, go, and keep this wonderful Park Slope institution alive!

Not only is the food "average", I find the owner to be a bit sleezy. It saddens me that so many good restaurants in the Slope have closed and I think the only reason Tonios is still open is that he owns the building.

Pros: Good location/close to subway

Cons: Food/Staff

.

This restaurant has a different ambiance than most places in park slope. The service was 4 star quality and the food was outstanding.

Every time I go to Tonio's the food is delicious and Tony and his staff are always friendly and accommodating. I grew up in Park Slope and have seen the rise of more pretensious, less food and service oriented establishments. Tonio's is always great...and the large window looking over the garden helps to create an intimate experience. I will continue to come here.

Pros: Food, Service, Ambience

Cons: Parking on 7th Ave

My g/f and I walked in one night, the owner greeted us at the door and took our coats, sat us in the back room (non-smoking at the time). The wait staff (all latin at an italian restaurant) was very nice and attentive, multiple to our table. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. We've been back. Dress nice/casual and enjoy.

Pros: Price, Service

.

My date and I were both taken back by the lack of the friendly attitude from the owner of the restaurant. The prices could be a bit more reasonable if they wouldn't charge $10 for a small cappucino and a 'out-of-the freezer' teramisu!
