I disagree with any review that states Dr. Otto is cold and her associates are great too. They have nothing but compassion for the animals and their owners. Dr.Otto is one of the best veternarians that I have met;she really an truly cares about the animals she takes care of.

I have to agree with the person below. People at this clinic are rude, uncaring and cold. Had an awful experience and will never return. Someone wrote below the doctor is cold, I have to agree totally and that runs through the staff also! Glad there is a new animal center opening up on Genesee Street across from where IHOP was.

On 3/31/11 I contacted the vet to make an appointment for my cat. When talking with the secretary I explained that I would be out of town and my boyfriend would be bringing in my cat. I explained that all I wanted and could afford was a rabies shot and deworming medication for my cat. The woman that answered the phone said she made a note of that and that it would be no problem and each procedure would be approximatly $20 each, amounting to about $40. On 4/8/11 I received a call from my boyfriend saying the bill came to $117.00. I immediatly called the clinic to speak to someone. The vet that had serviced my cat that day and who told me she was also the owner said my "boyfriend authorized the other procedures." I exaplained that I had spoken to someone who said this was fine for me to only recieve the two services I asked for. I also explained the check that was given to the clinic said clearly "rabies and deworming ONLY" in the memo section. Very rudley the vet continued to say over and over that "your boyfriend authorized the procedures." Additional to the rabies and deworming I was charged for a wellness exam, FVRCP vaccination, and intestinal parasite exam. Mr. Hoffman, my boyfriend, reports that never was he asked if it was ok to do a wellness exam or give her the FVRCP vaccination. He was never given a choice or an option. He also reports that the vet almost forgot to administer the deworming medication and had he not asked if what she was doing was the deworming, it never would have been administered. After a few minutes of argument with the vet, I exclaimed my disapproval and disgust with the service provided, on top of her lack of professional courtesy and her attitude. The vet prompty repeated in a loud offenseive tone "I'm sorry ma'am but your boyfriend authorized this." I then hung up on her after informing her of my plan to complain.

I can't believe someone said this clinic was on the expensive side. I have taken my pets to several different vets in Syracuse over the years and Camillus Animal Hospital has always been the most economical. Yesterday, I took my new puppy in for her shots. In the afternoon, she had an allergic reaction. I returned to the clinic with my swollen faced puppy to find all of the staff waiting for us. They wisked her in the back room, gave her an IV prescribed some meds and sent me home with a well puppy. We LOVE Dr Otto and the staff!.

My only complaint with Camillus Animal Clinic is they're a bit on the expensive side.
That aside, Kerri has been my regular veterinarian for over 8 years. She has cared for my service dog as if he were her own dog. I will likely bring all of my future working dogs to her as well.

Dr. Otto and the Camillus animal clinic have treated my pets and my family with care and compassion for the past eight years. Dr. Otto patiently taught my children how to care for our cats needs from nail clipping to a special diet.

Once Dr. Beyel retires, Camillus Animal Clinic - good bye!!! Dr. Otto (new owner) is very cold, unfriendly and controlling! She is not compassionate to her clients and is in it for the money.

My parents have been taking their dogs to the Camillus Animal Clinic for years. When we adopted a dog, we opted to take her there as well, even though it's across town from where we live. We have had nothing but great experiences here. The vets are knowledgeable, kind, and have been wonderful with our dog. Each time she's been there, they've petted her softly, talked to her kindly, and she was absolutely comfortable with them. The staff is friendly. I highly recommend this clinic.

I tried and was disappointed in 2 other area vets for their lack of compassion and high prices. My neighbor suggested Camillus Animal Clinic. She has used them for years and years. I went and was so impressed with their kindness and the fact they don't take advantage of you financially is just great!!Give them a try before all others!

The staff at the Camillus Animal Clinic are very friendly and caring. They listen to all concerns. Some of the young assistants do need to work on their "people skills" but the vets and receptionists are all wonderful.
