First of all let me start by saying that this is by far the most caring, and educated vetrinarian. My family has taken our pets to Dr. Warren for 37+ years. He has gone above and beyond for our babies. He kept our first dog alive for 18 years, our second for 17 and is currently fighting to do the same for my 12 year old cat Roxy. I had taken her to another vet near my home as I no longer live in Elmont and it was an emergency, my cat had an infected uterus and the place I took her to did a poor job on her surgery, gave her back to me hours after her surgery and insisted that a follow up was not necessary. Now 4 days later she is in Dr. Warren's care with a massive clot and dehydration from the negligent of another doctor. Bottom line Dr. Warren cares. He will do whatever it takes. Within an hour her xrays were sent up to Cornell for additional review, he ordered ultrasounds and has been in constant contact with me. I hope and pray my little girl makes it though this. I know she is in the best possible place. To Dr. Warren and staff, Thank you. Thank you for years of amazing care and patience. I am beyond grateful for everything you have done for my family and our babies. This is the ONLY place to bring your animals. I know I learned my lesson.

Excellent care for your pets. I'm a new pet owner and took my puppy there to get checked up and to get her shots. Dr. Warren and his staff were great. My puppy really warmed up to him. They spent the time to give me lots of tips and guidance as a new pet owner. I highly recommend!!

I am so happy I found this Vet. Dr. Warren is a caring man as well as his whole staff. I never went to a hospital that opened up like these wonderful people. I went for a second opinion on a recommendation from a friend. My Storm is dying. She is only seven years old Rotweiler. She is so lovable and never got a break in her young life. But Dr.warren has done all he can and more. I never found this and we have had five other dogs. all I can say is thank you.

animal hospital of elmont is the best. Dr. Warren and his staff are the most kind, caring, compassionate group of people ever. I've been going to them for 30 years and love them all.

I boarded my bichon frise at the Animal Hospital of Elmont in April 2008. I had only had the dog since December and was nervous about putting her in a kennel. When I dropped her off they let me watch her in the kennel for a few minutes. They knew it was hard for me to leave her there. The vet techs counseled me and let me call as often as I wanted. When I picked my dog up, she was clean and happy. She even followed 1 of the techs into an exam room while I was there. I plan on boarding my dog there again during my next trip.

I am a veterinarian myself. Last year, while doing relief work at a small private animal hospital in Queens, NY, I saw an eight-year-old dog who was quite ill and jaundiced. Obviously, she needed hospitalization, diagnostics, and intensive care. I arranged for the owner to bring the dog to a specialty hospital where the little dog could have gotten the intensive supportive care she needed and would have had the best chance for recovery.. The owner left the hospital where I was working, assuring me she was taking the dog straight to the specialty hospital. When I called that hospital the next day, I was told she never showed up.

Two days later she went to Dr. Warren, at which time the dog was even more critically ill.. Dr. Warren convinced her to hospitalize her pet, but unfortunately the disease was now so advanced that hard as he tried (and try he did), it was too late to save the poor dog. The owner had mentioned she had been to another vet two days earlier, but didn't say which one. Based on the little information she gave Dr. Warren, he figured out where she must have taken the dog and called me, just to let me know what happened. I was so impressed that Dr. Warren bothered to do a little detective work and cared enough to call me, having no idea who I was or that I cared, that I have been referring clients to him ever since. The clients to whom I've referred Dr. Warren have raved about his love for the animals, his wonderful bedside manner with the animals and the clients, and the superior medical care his clients' pets receive.

I have only known Dr warren for a short period in which he took superb care of my gravely ill dog.He is very caring and compassionate and tries very much to give emotional support for the family. The staff is very friendly and gently with the animals.I did not worry one bit when I had to leave my dog in his care for one week.Very trustworthy facility.

All throughout the good and bad times with my dear pets, we've used this clinic. The veterinarian, Dr. Warren, is very friendly and fair. He is honest about whether or not he thinks a pet is ready to be put down and very comapssionate when it comes to the hard decisions we sometimes have to make.

We've known animals who have needed very intricate care as well as the common care such as shots and boarding, and we've never yet heard a complaint about him from all the people we've recommended this place too.

PROS: caring atmosphere for your pets
CONS: none

Only star is for his manner with animals. Overcharges and over diagnoses. Dr. Warren diagnosed my dog with general demodectic mange, cost of treatment recommended $1552. Two other vets diagnosed dog with local mange, cost of treatment, office visit and $7. cream. Sedated my dog to get skin scraping cost $100. instead of using a muzzle.
