5 Stars: Awesome Burgers and Shakes (by by mimic47 at Citysearch)

I LOVE the burgers here and the twinkie milkshake. The fried pickles are also a favorite. It can get a little crowded but worth the wait.

2 Stars: Get the combo or else you will be paying $4 for a soda. (by by ASK11 at Citysearch)

I've been to this restaurant 2 times. The first time (about 3 mos ago) i had a great experience, service and food was good, although a bit on the pricey side. Tonight was a different story, service was horrible. The waitress was more interested in watching the Oscars than seeing how we were doing. Once we get the check, it seems as though they have overcharged me. Doing some quick math, i realize that they are charging $4 for a coke. When a commercial finally comes on , the waitress comes over to take the check. I ask her if the bill was right and that they were really charging $4 for a soda, she says 'yes". I still don' trust her cuz it's so ridiculous and i ask to see a menu. There is no price for soda on the menu. A few minutes later,. the manager comes out and tells us that they probably should put the price of sodas on the menu. I ask, "isn't it kind of ridiculous to charge $4 for a soda? " His response, "we have to pay the rent!" So, buyer beware. If you don't get a combo, DON'T get the a soda. I see BLT burger going the same way as Starbucks, especially in this economy, just another pricey restaurant closing. Why pay $20 for a burger, fries and soda with poor service while you can go to a pub and get it for $10?

5 Stars: BEST BURGER FROM PARIS TO NEW YORK!!!!! (by by westvillboy at Citysearch)

This by far is my favorite place in the West Village!! I've been coming for the last 6 months, and I have never been disappointed. I live in the area, and I'm not a native, so I like to stay close to home; and when i come here, I feel like I'm going into my dining room. The specials that have been running for the last month have been incredible. My favorite was the surf and turf burger; american kobe and lobster tail!! YUMMMMMM!!!!! Since they are not serving that anymore, I am back to my original favorite; turkey burger with everything, and side of waffle fries. All of the staff, from the Chef to the hostess, are always incredibly hospitable. When I have friends or family from out of town, this is what they look foward to most (besides seeing me). Thank you everyone at BLT BURGER for always making me feel at home when I'm not!!! :-)

5 Stars: Limited Vegetarian Options, But Great Place (by by shimashizah at Citysearch)

I was at BLT Burger this past Monday. I was with friends from the area and we were all trying to rid our selves of hangovers from Valentines and Presidents Day parties. When we got there, it was packed, with a 40 minute wait. We waited at the bar and started pounding back delicious Ommegang and IPA drafts. We were seated in just about 40 minutes at a booth in the back. Now, as a vegatarian, I knew I was taking a chance going to a burger joint. To my dismay, there was only one vegatarian entree on the menu and it was all sold out. I voiced my complaint to our waiter and he sent the General Manager to our table. He proceeded to apologize and explain what a busy weekend they've had and that he can definitely come up with an alternative. While waiting for our food, they had sent a round of drinks to us on the house. When our dinners arrived, the alternative they had come up with was a grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, topped with tomato and sauteed onions. Now upon arrival, I was excited as it looked delicious. When I bit into it, the temperature was just about warm. I was very annoyed and once again I had to say something. At this point, I didn't want to order the same thing again. The rest of the party's food was delicious, but as I said, I am a vegetarian. I wound up eating cheese fries and onion rings which were great. When we got the bill, we were not charged for the portobello mushroom, which I assumed. On the way out, I spoke to the GM again. He once again apologized and said this was an unusual circumstance due to the long weekend. He gave me his card and I gave him my email address. The next morning I recieve an email from BLT Burger. It was inviting me back with a guest for a dinner on them. I was shocked that I was followed up with so quickly. I responded and will set a date to be back. THAT IS WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. ANYONE IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS SHOULD TAKE A LESSON FROM THIS, NOT HOW TO LOSE A CUSTOMER, BUT GAIN TEN.

2 Stars: I had hard plastic in my burger & they never brought me a new one or offered to do anything! (by by Phifrog at Citysearch)

I went here with a large group. They don't take reservations, but were nice enough to hold a table for 10, the table was supposed to be for 12, but they swore it was called in only for 10 - I didn't make the call, so I didn't argue. The service was good, in the beginning, we were looking forward to a good meal - who doesn't like a burger & fries?! My burger arrived - yummy...waygu beef, medium rare with waffle fries...I cut it in half, it was perfectly cooked & I took a bite. My first bite was great. The second bite I took I bit into something that didn't seem right as it was hard - thinking maybe it was a little gristle (gross, but I thought I'd keep chewing) as I chewed a bit more, it was hard & sharp and rather big. Upon spitting it out - it was a brownish tan plastic triangular thing that was clearly broken off from something. We called the waiter over who said he'd bring it to the manager. He came back and said that it appeared to be the bottom part of a meat marker (they mark the burgers with little cows that are colored to match your order - the one in my burger that I pulled out from the bun before eating was fully intact and PINK, not brownish tan). He further stated the manager would be right over. As I waited, everyone else enjoyed their meals & I never saw the manager. The Waiter finally came back, to clear everyone's plates. At which time he asked "you're not going to eat your burger?" I couldn't believe that the manager never came over & they never offered me a new burger. On top of it, they charged me for the burger with the plastic in it. I would have gladly paid but it would have been nice to get a new burger. It's a shame because we were a large group & the food was good - the customer service was good, but now I have to say it was atrocious & give this place low stars. Go there at your own risk. We have decided we will never go back!

4 Stars: Great burgers, best to go for lunch not dinner. (by by JMQ at Citysearch)

The best burgers I've ever had. The only problem was when I went with a party of 3 and they kept passing us over for parties of 4 and made us wait at least an hour more. I thought I was waiting for a booth as I had asked for so I didn't mind but then when it was my turn they wouldn't give me a booth because they said those were for 4 people. OK great but tell me before I waste my time and respect the fact that I was there before other parties of 2 who they sat before us at the same types of tables. In other words we waited more time for nothing. Have only been there for lunch since. Not worth being aggravated by the unfair seating policy.

I don't eat beef but am always looking for good turkeyburgers. This is my fave place in the city. Relaxed atmosphere, and friendly, fast staff. When I need comfort food (turkeycheeseburger and a milkshake) I go to BLT Burger. The buffalo wings are great, too.

5 Stars: The best burger in NYC (by by amm212 at Citysearch)

This place is tops for a great burger and fries in New York. I have been on numerous occassions and every single time I have been, I fall in love with it more and more. The burgers are always cooked perfectly, the fries just the right crispiness. I have also sampled their shakes and cupcakes, both of which are incredible. I cannot speak more highly of a burger place in NYC.

5 Stars: This place is Awesome! Great Burgers, Great Fries.. I love it (by by Coldsun3000 at Citysearch)

So i love this place... These are some of the best burgers i've had in the city.. seriously.. the BLT burger is AWESOME! I see alot of conflicting reviews, so i can only speak on my experiences... And i've been more then once.. let me tell you how it usually goes down for me... I walk in and there is usually a line for a table... Uhmm i just sit at the bar, no wait.. THE BARTENDER IS SUPER COOL!!! SERIOUSLY!!! He is happy to see you... Hands you a menu and asks you what drink you wanna start with.. they have some alright beers, but i which they had more options on tap (i think they only have like 5, and they are kinda odd, but not all odd in the good way) Ok... so then i drink, and shortly after my food is here... I've NEVER had a long wait... I eat it, and i ALWAYS eat everything.. Its amazing... very good, seriously... The Kobe Beef Burger is good, the Fries you just can't go wrong, no matter what version you get of them... I say go visit.. and Eat... I enjoy it, i'm there basically every friday now...

4 Stars: Great hearty burgers and SPECTACULAR spiked shakes (by by Rin4 at Citysearch)

I'd been craving a good burger and after doing some research decided to give BLT Burger a shot. It was a Friday night so we were expecting to wait to be seated so it wasn't a big deal when we were told it would be 20mins for a table.. was a little annoying that it was actually 40mins, but we'd ordered a few drinks at the bar so we were happy. I ordered the lamb burger.. it was delicious. It was ever so slightly spicy and had a nice olivey taste. The Yoghurt dressing was also yummy and great for dipping my fries in! My fiance had the classic burger and from the tiny bite I stole from him it was very very nice. The burgers were good.. not great.. not the best I've ever had but definitely good burgers. The sides were pretty average but we were there for burgers so weren't too concerned. The spiked shakes are SPECTACULAR!! The night rider shake is like drinking a yummy alcoholic chocolate mousse!!! Definitely the highlight of the meal! Our waitress was really sweet and very efficient. We'll definitely head back there.. perhaps when its a little quieter but a good place for a non-fussy solid meal.

2 Stars: what a dissapointment (by by t_dudzik at Citysearch)

I was pretty excited to try BLT Burger. I am always in search of the perfect burger. I got the classic combo - a burger, fries, and fountain soda. I think it was 13.00 plus tip.
That's kinda pricey for me. Maybe if the burger were phenomenal, I could justify it, but I left with a profound sense of dissapointment and feeling like I'd wasted a lot of money. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the meat was good... but it was nothing special at all. I had to salt it heavily to get any real flavor. The staff were slow and disinterested. Rather than pay 13.00 I would have gladly gone to blue nine and saved the difference. Or for the same amount of money, Stand has a far superior burger. Coleslaw was decent, but they only gave me like a tablespoon of it.

2 Stars: Decent food, awful service (by by jpw4134 at Citysearch)

Went in with 2 friends around 4 o'clock, we were told that the restaurant was closed for an hour but the bar was open and we could sit at a table in the front and order food. After about 10 minutes the bartender had made no attempt to come over so we went to the bar and placed our ordered. We each got a burger and a spiked milkshake; both are overpriced. The burgers came out before we even got our milkshakes, and when I politely reminded the waitress that we had ordered them she told me they were "being made". How long does it take to make a milkshake? We never received the glasses of water we asked for or the special "house sauce" that we ordered on the side. The burgers were good, not anything more, and for the price clearly just not worth it. 85 dollars for three burgers, shared fries and 3 milkshakes as well as the price of being your own waiter? Totally not worth it

5 Stars: Tastey Burgers, great drinks, Fun time (by by evanmopp at Citysearch)

What a great time... Ate here on a Thursday night at about 9 pm, and although the place was packed, the hostess Danielle (who was a sweetheart) did out best to seat us quickly in a four person booth along the wall (even though we were only two people). There is a nice selection of beers, and I highly recommend the
Hitachino Nest Japanese White beer... light and sweet flavor with a smooth finish. I couldn't help but have a second. We started with the special soup of the day which was a well balanced vegetable soup with a little bit of spice to it. very nice. We also had an order of the BBQ wings which were HUGE, and smothered in an excellent spicy (but not too spicy) wing sauce. For dinner we tried the lamb Burger and the house BLT Burger. Both cooked perfectly medium rare and delicious. The beef was fresh and flavorful. The fresh cut Idaho fries were some of the best i have has in a long time. Nicely crispy and flavorful. There was even an accident with the salt (it opened up and spilled all over the basket of fries), but our waiter was quick to bring us a new basket, no questions asked. We also tried one of the special appetizers... fried pickles. they were interesting, but probably not something i would order again. THey might have tasted good on a burger, but interesting take on the sliced pickle. We opted out of getting desert, and instead shared a milkshake made with vanilla ice cream, caramel, and grand mariner....AWESOME! what a way to finish off the meal. I hear the mud pie comes highly recommended, so I will certainly be back and try it out next time. Overall a fun and enjoyable dining experience. Great staff! Nice addition to the BLT line of restaurants.

5 Stars: Best burger in the city! (by by jpappas2 at Citysearch)

Finally, a new burger place that has gotten it right! I have eaten at BLT Burger at least 6 times, and I've never been disappointed. The blend of meat used is flavorful and juicy, and the burgers are cooked to your specifications. And if you love cheeseburgers, you get a choice of several cheeses - including American. The first few times I went I thought that the fries were not very good and certainly not on par with the excellent burger, but the last two times I noticed a change and they are now much better. The vanilla shakes are also delicious. I'm surprised to see so many negative comments about service, since I've never had a problem with service. I have had to wait a few times for a table (after all, good food attracts crowds), but I like the ambiance and the overall feeling of the place. I had been a big Burger Joint fan, but I have to say that the atmosphere at BLT Burger is much nicer, you don't have to stalk people to get their table, and the quality of the meat is much better at BLT. In my opinion, BLT Burger is the best burger in the city. If you love burgers, you have to give them a try!

5 Stars: Awesome all around (by by tigsters at Citysearch)

I almost didn't go to BLT Burger after i read all the awful customer reviews online and I am SO glad i didn't listen. My experience was totally opposite from what i read that either the restaurant did a complete 180 in the past few weeks, or competitors are posting faux reviews to deter potential diners. My experience was fantastic. I went with a friend last Friday night and we were seated within 15 minutes. We were able to grab a drink at the bar and load up on a few BBQ potato chips while we waited so it wasn?t an inconvenience at all. Once we were seated our food was prompt and tasted amazing. I got the regular burger with blue cheese and waffle fries. It was off the hook?highly recommended. The service all around was fantastic from the hostess to the bartender to the server. Plus, it was relatively cheap-- they even have $3 PBR's if you looking to save a few bucks. Enjoy!

1 Stars: Gold Cold Cheese on a plate--Worst service I have had in ten years!!!! (by by caymus16 at Citysearch)

Where do I even begin? The service was the single worst service I have had in New York. It's ok to wait, oh, an hour or even two to be seated for great food. But HELLO, We waited an hour for our food AFTER WE ORDERED. Guess what, every single thing we ordered was screwed up. The waiter was so freaking stoned it was laugh out loud funny. One of the burgers, incorrectly, came with no cheese. I asked him to bring a new burger out with cheese, and instead, the wacked out waiter brings a slice of gold, cold cheese on a gigantic plate. Ok, buddy, I will plop the cheese on the burger. Moreover, the burgers were so over salted that we thought it was a ploy for us to drink more beer. Sadly that plan does not work if you order a beer, and it never comes, but Stone Face still charged us for the brew.

Bottom Line: Stay away. BLT Fish and BLT Steak are excellent establishments. The entire staff needs to be fired at this joke of a restaurant!

4 Stars: Phenomenal Burgers and everything to go along with it, cozy place, love it! (by by irocnyc at Citysearch)

Got the American Kobe burger, and wow it was good, down to the pickles and perfectly soft bun. The highlight of the meal was the spiked milkshake, ask for the one not on the menu, with the Stoli Vanilla. It was better than....you know what. Love the cozy atmosphere and really friendly service. A great addition to the neighborhood.

2 Stars: Average to good burgers, although WORST SERVICE IN NYC!!! (by by nycgourmond at Citysearch)

ordered from here 3 times, first time it came in an hour - was pretty good, the 2nd time it came in 3 hours!! and came incorrectly. the 3rd time, i did take out, because i was fed up with delivery, went in to pick up 45 minutes after i ordered and it still wasnt ready. The poor excuse for a hostess quoted a time when we ordered which was a lie, so i showed her my cell phone history and the midget could barely hide behind her podium in shame. the burgers, however are decent...but nothing more. No burger, actually - i'll re-think this, some burgers are worth this sort of aggrivation, although these aren't even close to being them. Also, I saw this chef on Iron Chef America, and he knocked out 4-5 dishes in one hour - scary that his staff can't cook 2 MEDIUM RARE burgers in 45 minutes. Stay away.....

2 Stars: Good Burgers, but seriously crappy service! (by by michaela18 at Citysearch)

I ordered take out from this place on a regular thursday night. I came to get my order, and once i got home i noticed that they had forgotten a whole salad and an order of fries! On top of that they did not include ANY silverware, napkins or Ketchup! What kind of burger place doesn't send ketchup with hamburgers and fries. The one salad that did arrive, Spicy Chicken, was bland and boring, and the meat was all dark meat and looked as if it had been sitting in a fridge for days, gross.
After calling the restaurant to get my salad, fries and ketchup 5 times, and speaking to the Manager i still never got them!
I don't think I would ever go back to this place.

3 Stars: Not worth it. (by by babola123 at Citysearch)

I agree with mlynch's review. We went thinking that the burgers would be fantastic. We went on a Friday night after a long week of work as a little treat. My husband got the kobe burger, which was much better than the classic burger that I got. When a restaurant's name has the word "burger" in it, it better deliver, and this one didn't. What I was expecting: a juicy, flavorful burger on a great roll that stands up to it, with fries that are worthy to share the plate. What I got was on the same level as your average diner burger, at about one and a half times the price. The meat in the classic burger simply didn't have enough flavor. Like I said, the Kobe burger at least had some flavor, but at the price it was a bit over the top just to get a decent burger. The fries tasted like they were cooked in the same oil as some fish, and they were too thin and crispy...like bistro fries. Not what I would expect from a burger joint. I will say that we ate at the bar, and the bartender was so nice and friendly, I almost feel like I want to give the place another shot. He made an otherwise disappointing dining experience enjoyable. This is clearly an outpost that is relying on the reputation of its more successful locations bearing the same "BLT."

1 Stars: Don't waste your time (by by rmlynch at Citysearch)

Went to BLT burger last week and based on my experiences at the other BLT restaurants, I thought this would be a homerun. Guess what. It wasn't. It looks like they tried to jam in this restaurant in what little space there is. The atmosphere has zero character. How imagainative, pictures of cows on the wall.
The food was average and it was hotter than an oven as we sat in the back of the restaurant. Enjoy BLT fish instead, this one is at the bottom of the food chain.

3 Stars: Phenominal (by by srperl at Citysearch)

I've had burgers, here, there, and most everywhere. This BLT rates up at the top. I had the "BLT" burger with a fried egg and the sweet potatoe fries. It was excellent all around. Great beer selection and deserts. I look forward to trying the Kobe and Tuna burgers next. I'm no longer depressed about Shake Shack being closed for the winter.

4 Stars: Decent (by by bigglesworth96 at Citysearch)

BLT Burger is pretty much in the same vein as Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien, in other words it's faux WT, down-and-dirty with wooden booths and dive-bar decor. The same can be said about the burger--it's decent and reminds me of the kind I might have at a summer barbecue. When it arrives, it looks small but the meat patty is fairly thick, a little above maybe a McDonalds quarter pounder. If I heard my waiter correctly, they only make them medium or medium rare. The fries are standard-issue straight or waffle and the milkshake was very good, like the kind you get at a fancy diner. They have bottles, draft and cans of beer, which is a nice touch. Bottom line is, it's a good place if you're in the neighborhood, but not a destination place.

3 Stars: WAY below expectations (by by ssean1968 at Citysearch)

I went to this place at lunch. At about 10 bucks a burger and with all the hype surrounding this place, I expected a lot. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The burgers were overcooked and small (come on guys, it's "ground beef", if you're going to charge that much, throw an extra quarter's worth of meat into it). The fries were nothing special, and if anything, worse than other places I've been to. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible, but I've had way better, for less, in MANY other places. I really was looking forward to this place, but what a disappointment. I've heard it can be crowded at dinner hour. Don't waste your time if you have to wait.

4 Stars: Excellence Grilled (by by jfriedlander at Citysearch)

I have only good things to say.

THe american kobe burger was perfect. Medium rare. tasty. perfect. perfect. The idaho fries: great. not as thick as I like, but great. The sweet potato fries: amazing. The chocolate chip cookie dough sundae: perfect. The service: a little pushy at first, but they let us sit there forever without interruption. This is rare service for NYC. Between the food and the service, I am pretty much blown away. Good music, too.

One oddity:
They don't take reservations, so you'll have to wait, but they won't lie about the wait, and they make you wait so that they can adequately handle the order flow. This leaves some seats open, which looks odd when they are telling you to wait, and they will have to remedy this issue as the crowds increase. For now, it's not a big issue.

5 Stars: Perfection! (by by toolmire at Citysearch)

I'm not even sure if I should write this review, as I do not want to have to wait in ridiculously long lines once the word gets out regarding BLT Burger. However, in order to keep the restaurant in the neighborhood, I feel it is my duty to share. This place is now one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Whoever concieved the menu is a genius. The menu combines an excellent choice of burgers (including a delicious Kobe burger which I had) with simple yet perfect side dishes including chili cheese fries, a creative desert menu including a peanut butter and jelly doughnut, and a milkshake list to die for (some of which include alcohol). It's a simple, yet unbelievably good restaurant that does not leave you hungry. Try it before you have to wait in line!!!
