Awful experience. Customer service is plain rude - asked for a manager thinking it might be better - he was even worse than the others! Item was misrepresented online and they refused to cover return shipping for THEIR error! As a busy CEO, I shop online exclusively and I have never ever had such an experience with another online retailer. Will not shop again at Kohls.
I ordered some patio furniture from Kohls.com, the furniture came and is very nice, however, several pieces came without the bolts. After numerous emails back and forth with a response such as"I'm sorry this has happened, we will get back to you as to if we can get the bolts", no response ever came. I wrote a letter to corporate, got a call again sympathizing with my frustration and she assured me I would receive the bolts, still nothing. I will never shop at Kohls again........ I've been in Goodwill stores that are more organized than our local store. Never again!!!
I went to the Kohls' on Bay Parkway and found out that they allow MEN in the Womens Dressing Room and Bathroom.Men have there own rooms. Speaking to Colleen Terry, in Corporate. This is a Policy of Kohls' to allow this to go on. I would like a sign put up so all Parents are aware of this policy, but they will not do it. Management should be ashamed of this policy and according to a mgr. in the store it is allowed in every dept. store. Parents please help change this policy for the safety of our Family's.
When I moved here from Virginia, I expected to find the local Kohl's to be as decent as ours. Kohl's Brooklyn ended up being a frustrating and tiring experience. The cashiers and associates are friendly enough, even if not always helpful. However, the crowds of awful careless shoppers and the state of the merchandise will drive anyone away. People would throw clothes on the floor, let their children run around, and generally just made a mess. I will not come back to this store.
While shopping, there was more than the usual rude people shoving and pushing. In the elevator with a stroller and a cart with a toddler, I was pushed aside. The dressing room clerk informed us that once we tried on the required amount of items in dressing room, if we had any more items we would have to leave the room and get on the back of the line. During this discourse, the clerk had a few choice words re: customers and verbalized this infront of said customers. Unfortunately, staff rudeness appeared the rule, not the exception.
PROS: Kohls is usually a wonderful store to shop in
CONS: Kohls, Brooklyn, N.Y. is not one of them
I cannot tell you how excited I was when this store opened, as I have been shopping at Kohls in NJ for several years now. I am happy to say that this store is as great as I hoped it would be. For starters, it is so neat and clean. I even commented about that to the manager, and he said he strived to keep it that way, and it would be that way as long as he was there. Awesome! This store has everything from clothing, shoes and jewelry for your entire family to home decor in every style, from traditional to contemporary. The prices are fantastic, and they always have the BEST sales--they recently had a 50% off sale, and wow, I cleaned up! I do have one small complaint about this store, but I suppose it is because it's in Brooklyn--you are not allowed to push your shopping cart to your car, and security will stop you at the door if you try. I guess theft is a big concern. It's still one of my favorite stores--I'm more than willing to schlep my goodies to the car!
I went to the Kohls website and when something is too expensive on amazon i drive to kohls with some friends and buy clothes and jewelery. they have high class stuff here that you can pass off from buying at juicy couture. prices can be a bit high, but for the furniture it's worth it. It's a great family store. I buy most of my makeup here.
Pros: High Quality
Cons: High Prices, Long Lines
