.

This is an inexpensive place for Christian workers to stay in New York City. It will accomadate Pastors Church officials, or missionaries, or Christian ministry leaders. Currently (4/20//08), the room rates are $60 for a single and I think $100 for two in one room. Be aware that there are NO PRIVATE BATHS, baths are on each floor . It has five floors and NO ELEVATOR and NO AIRCONDITIONERS, but it has fans. I am sure the place is a blessing to many people. The location is great, 75th Street off of Central Park. It's close to different subway lines.

"Hephzibah' is a Hebrew word meaning "my delight is in her," and is from a Biblical passage in the Book of Isaiah, where the prophet records God's promise to bring restoration to the nation of Israel with the statement "No longer will they call you deserted or name your land desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah ... for the Lord will take delight in you."
