Joe's Shanghai Restaurant

Joe's Shanghai is by far my favorite restaurant in Chinatown. They specialize in dumplings, but all of their food is top of the line. The food is affordable, the service is quick, and the environment is extremely social and welcoming.

This place is great, everyone comes here for the soup dumplings- but rule of thumb, get the one with crab meat, it tastes so much better, a place worth going to, though I must say, the waiters weren't all that nice, which reflects why this isn't a 5 star

no argue, local chinese are also crazy for the soup dumplings, but note, order the one w/ the crab meat!
it can blows u away! another special dish: Tofu with Crabmeat Sauce. Though extremely long waiting time, but once u get in, food serves really quick, so it definitely worth a trip!!!

PROS: Crab meat dumplings
CONS: Tight spaces, long wait

I love this restaurant. It has the best soup dumplings. Scallion pancakes, and any noodles dishes are delicious. i always walk out full satisfied and full.

But be prepared for a long wait, especially if you decide to go during the busy lunch or dinner hours. I've waited over 2 hours for a table onces. I find the staff service okay. Some are more friendly and polite then others. But the food is so good.. Who cares?

CONS: bad service, long wait
