Lotus Salon

I guess other people have better luck than I do.
Although they were nice over there the guy who cut my hair was so distracted that he left it shapeless. I went to this salon thinking that for such an expensive price my hair would look at least descent, as a matter of fact it looks worse (according to my husband) than before being cut. I used to go to a place called Salon Shin where you even get a massage for the 60 dollars you pay.
I left the Lotus Salon with a wet blouse (from the washing), the brushing was the only thing worth it, although it only lasts one or two days.

I started going to see Eddie starting last year. Lotus salon is pretty affordable and it is in a great part of town. Eddie does the best highlights and I always get compliments on my haircut! He makes good suggestions and I always trust him. Also, he is really cool.

I got my hair cut at Lotus this morning. I admit, in spite of all the glowing reviews as well as two great references from girls at work I was skeptical. As a native Aussie, I have had no less than 5 awful hair cuts here in the states. The last one left me looking like Princess Diana circa 1979. Bad, bad, bad. However, when I arrived at Lotus Nelson sat down and spoke to me at length about exactly what I wanted, he asked specific questions, explained what he would do and then during the cut he continued to ask at each step if things were looking good. They were! He also gave lots of great advice about how to recreate the look on my own. He actually cared about what I wanted and really wanted to make it happen. Truly a five-star experience!

So nice to have the same person wash, color and style your hair and to be so talented at all! Eddie has a flare for knowing what you need (which is not always what you think you want) Eddie really takes the time to listen and then performs his magic with the scissors. The salon is cozy, homey and intimate. You'll walk out with a smile and keep coming back again and again. Eddie is the BEST!
